Yahweh Is on My Side
הוֹד֣וּ (Give thanks) לַיהוָ֣ה (to YHWH), כִּי־ (for) ט֑וֹב (He is good); כִּ֖י (for)
לְעוֹלָ֣ם (forever) חַסְדּֽוֹ׃ (is His loving devotion).
2 יֹֽאמַר־ (Let say) נָ֥א (now) יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל (Israel) כִּ֖י (that)
לְעוֹלָ֣ם (forever) חַסְדּֽוֹ׃ (is His loving devotion).
3 יֹֽאמְרוּ־ (Let say) נָ֥א (now) בֵֽית־ (the house) אַהֲרֹ֑ן (of Aaron)
כִּ֖י (that) לְעוֹלָ֣ם (forever) חַסְדּֽוֹ׃ (is His loving devotion).
4 יֹֽאמְרוּ־ (Let say) נָ֭א (now) יִרְאֵ֣י (those fearing) יְהוָ֑ה (YHWH)
כִּ֖י (that) לְעוֹלָ֣ם (forever) חַסְדּֽוֹ׃ (is His loving devotion).
5 מִֽן־ (In) הַ֭מֵּצַ֥ר (distress) קָרָ֣אתִי (I called on) יָּ֑הּ (YAH);
עָנָ֖נִי (answered me) בַמֶּרְחָ֣ב (in a broad place) יָֽהּ׃ (YAH).
6 יְהוָ֣ה (YHWH is) לִ֭י (with me); לֹ֣א (not) אִירָ֑א (I will fear);
מַה־ (what) יַּעֲשֶׂ֖ה (can do) לִ֣י (to me) אָדָֽם׃ (man).
7 יְהוָ֣ה (YHWH is) לִ֭י (with me) בְּעֹזְרָ֑י (as the One helping me);
וַ֝אֲנִ֗י (and I) אֶרְאֶ֥ה (shall look) בְשֹׂנְאָֽי׃ (on those hating me).
8 ט֗וֹב (It is better) לַחֲס֥וֹת (to take refuge) בַּיהוָ֑ה (in YHWH)
מִ֝בְּטֹ֗חַ (than to trust) בָּאָדָֽם׃ (in man).
9 ט֗וֹב (It is better) לַחֲס֥וֹת (to take refuge) בַּיהוָ֑ה (in YHWH)
מִ֝בְּטֹ֗חַ (than to trust) בִּנְדִיבִֽים׃ (in princes).
10 כָּל־ (All) גּוֹיִ֥ם (nations) סְבָב֑וּנִי (surrounded me);
בְּשֵׁ֥ם (in the name) יְ֝הוָ֗ה (of YHWH) כִּ֣י (surely) אֲמִילַֽם׃ (I cut them off).
11 סַבּ֥וּנִי (They surrounded me), גַם־ (yes), סְבָב֑וּנִי (they surrounded me),
בְּשֵׁ֥ם (and in the name) יְ֝הוָ֗ה (of YHWH) כִּ֣י (surely) אֲמִילַֽם׃ (I cut them off).
12 סַבּ֤וּנִי (They have surrounded me) כִדְבוֹרִ֗ים (like bees);
דֹּ֭עֲכוּ (they have been extinguished) כְּאֵ֣שׁ (as fire) קוֹצִ֑ים (among thorns);
בְּשֵׁ֥ם (and in the name) יְ֝הוָ֗ה (of YHWH) כִּ֣י (surely) אֲמִילַֽם׃ (I cut them off).
13 דַּחֹ֣ה (With thrusting) דְחִיתַ֣נִי (you thrust me) לִנְפֹּ֑ל (that I might fall),
וַ֖יהוָ֣ה (and YHWH) עֲזָרָֽנִי׃ (helped me).
14 עָזִּ֣י (My strength) וְזִמְרָ֣ת (and song) יָ֑הּ (is YAH),
וַֽיְהִי־ (and He has become) לִ֝֗י (to me) לִֽישׁוּעָֽה׃ (salvation).
15 ק֤וֹל׀ (The voice) רִנָּ֬ה (of rejoicing) וִֽישׁוּעָ֗ה (and salvation) בְּאָהֳלֵ֥י (is in the tents) צַדִּיקִ֑ים (of the righteous);
יְמִ֥ין (The right hand) יְ֝הוָה (of YHWH) עֹ֣שָׂה (acts) חָֽיִל׃ (with strength).
16 יְמִ֣ין (The right hand) יְ֭הוָה (of YHWH) רוֹמֵמָ֑ה (is exalted);
יְמִ֥ין (the right hand) יְ֝הוָה (of YHWH) עֹ֣שָׂה (acts) חָֽיִל׃ (with strength).
17 לֹֽא (Not) אָמ֥וּת (I will die), כִּי־ (but) אֶֽחְיֶ֑ה (I will live),
וַ֝אֲסַפֵּ֗ר (that I might recount) מַֽעֲשֵׂ֥י (the works) יָֽהּ׃ (of YAH).
18 יַסֹּ֣ר (Chastening) יִסְּרַ֣נִּי (has chastened me) יָּ֑הּ (YAH),
וְ֝לַמָּ֗וֶת (and to death) לֹ֣א (not) נְתָנָֽנִי׃ (has He given me up).
19 פִּתְחוּ־ (Open) לִ֥י (to me) שַׁעֲרֵי־ (the gates) צֶ֑דֶק (of righteousness);
אָֽבֹא־ (I will enter) בָ֝ם (into them); אוֹדֶ֥ה (I will give thanks to) יָֽהּ׃ (YAH).
20 זֶֽה־ (This is) הַשַּׁ֥עַר (the gate) לַיהוָ֑ה (of YHWH),
צַ֝דִּיקִ֗ים (the righteous) יָבֹ֥אוּ (shall enter) בֽוֹ׃ (into it).
21 א֭וֹדְךָ (I thank You), כִּ֣י (for) עֲנִיתָ֑נִי (You have answered me),
וַתְּהִי־ (and You have become) לִ֝֗י (to me) לִֽישׁוּעָֽה׃ (for salvation).
22 אֶ֭בֶן (The stone) מָאֲס֣וּ (that rejected) הַבּוֹנִ֑ים (the builders)
הָ֝יְתָ֗ה (has become) לְרֹ֣אשׁ (as the head) פִּנָּֽה׃ (of the corner).
23 מֵאֵ֣ת (From) יְ֭הוָה (YHWH) הָ֣יְתָה (is) זֹּ֑את (this);
הִ֖יא (it) נִפְלָ֣את (is marvelous) בְּעֵינֵֽינוּ׃ (in our eyes).
24 זֶה־ (This is) הַ֭יּוֹם (the day) עָשָׂ֣ה (has made) יְהוָ֑ה (YHWH);
נָגִ֖ילָה (we will rejoice) וְנִשְׂמְחָ֣ה (and be glad) בֽוֹ׃ (in it).
25 אָנָּ֣א (I ask), יְ֭הוָה (O YHWH), הוֹשִׁ֘יעָ֥ה (save us) נָּ֑א (now);
אָֽנָּ֥א (I ask), יְ֝הוָ֗ה (O YHWH), הַצְלִ֘יחָ֥ה (send prosperity) נָּֽא׃ (now).
26 בָּר֣וּךְ (Blessed is) הַ֭בָּא (the one coming) בְּשֵׁ֣ם (in the name) יְהוָ֑ה (of YHWH);
בֵּ֝רַֽכְנוּכֶ֗ם (we bless you⁺) מִבֵּ֥ית (from the house) יְהוָֽה׃ (of YHWH).
27 אֵ֤ל׀ (God is) יְהוָה֮ (YHWH),
וַיָּ֪אֶר (and He has given light) לָ֥נוּ (to us)
אִסְרוּ־ (Bind) חַ֥ג (the festal sacrifice) בַּעֲבֹתִ֑ים (with cords),
עַד־ (to) קַ֝רְנ֗וֹת (the horns) הַמִּזְבֵּֽחַ׃ (of the altar).
28 אֵלִ֣י (My God) אַתָּ֣ה (You are), וְאוֹדֶ֑ךָּ (and I will give You thanks),
אֱ֝לֹהַ֗י (my God), אֲרוֹמְמֶֽךָּ׃ (I will exalt You).
29 הוֹד֣וּ (Give thanks) לַיהוָ֣ה (to YHWH), כִּי־ (for) ט֑וֹב (He is good);
כִּ֖י (for) לְעוֹלָ֣ם (forever) חַסְדּֽוֹ׃ (is His loving devotion).
