1I commend to you Phoebe, our sister, who is a servant of the church in Cenchrea; 2I ask that you welcome her in the Lord, as deserving of saints (believers), and assist her in whatever she has need of; for she has been a benefactor of many, including myself. 3Greet Priscilla and Aquila, my co-workers in Christ Jesus, 4Who have risked their own necks for me; to whom not only I, but also all the churches of the Gentiles, give thanks. 5Greet, also, the church that meets in their house, as well as my well-beloved friend, Epaenetus, who was the first of Achaia to convert to Christ. 6Greet Mary, who worked so hard for your benefit. 7Salute Andronicus and Junias (Junia), and my fellow Jews and prisoners, who are of note among the apostles, and were also in Christ before me. 8Greet Ampliatus, my dear friend in the Lord. 9Greet Urbanus, our co-worker in Christ, and Stachys, my dear friend. 10Greet Apelles, a good man, approved in Christ. Greet those of household of Aristobulus. 11Greet Herodion, my fellow Jew. Greet those who are in the Lord of the household of Narcissus. 12Greet Tryphaena and Tryphosa, women who labor in the Lord. Greet the beloved Persis, another woman who labored much in the Lord. 13Greet Rufus, chosen in the Lord, and his mother, who has been a mother to me, as well. 14Greet Asyncritus, Phlegon, Hermes, Patrobas, Hermes, and the brothers and sisters who are with them. 15Greet Philologus, Julia, Nereus, his sister, Olympas, and all the saints (believers) who are with them. 16Greet one another with a holy kiss. All the churches of Christ send greetings. 17Now I urge you, brothers and sisters, to watch out for those who cause divisions and strife, and teach things contrary to the doctrine which you have learned. Avoid them. 18For such as they do not serve our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own desires; and by good words and flattering speeches they deceive the hearts of the innocent (naÏve). 19For your obedience has become known to everyone; and I am glad, therefore, on your behalf; but I would like you to be wise about what is good, and innocent about what is evil. 20And the God of peace shall shortly crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen. 21Timothy, my workfellow, Lucius, Jason, and Sosipater, my kinsmen, greet you. 22I, Tertius, who wrote this letter for Paul, greet you in the Lord. 23Gaius, whose hospitality I, and all of the church, enjoy, greets you. Erastus, the chamberlain (director of public works) of the city, and our brother Quartus, a brother, greet you. 24The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen. 25Now to Him that is able to establish and strengthen you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, in keeping with the revelation of the mystery, which was hidden since the world began, 26But is now revealed by the Scriptures – the writings of the prophets, by the command of the eternal God, that this message may be made known to all the Gentile nations, that they, too, might come to obedience that comes from faith in our Lord Jesus Christ. 27To the only wise God, be glory forever through Jesus Christ.
