תְּפִלָּ֗ה
לְדָ֫וִ֥ד
הַטֵּֽה־
יְהוָ֣ה
אָזְנְךָ֣
עֲנֵ֑נִי
כִּֽי־
עָנִ֖י
וְאֶבְי֣וֹן
אָֽנִי׃
A prayer
of David.
Incline
Your ear,
O LORD,
and answer me,
for
I
am poor
and needy.
{{A Prayer
of David.
}} Bow down
thine ear,
O LORD,
hear
me: for I [am] poor
and needy.
2
שָֽׁמְרָ֣ה
נַפְשִׁי֮
כִּֽי־

אָ֥נִי
הוֹשַׁ֣ע
עַ֭בְדְּךָ
אַתָּ֣ה
אֱלֹהַ֑י
הַבּוֹטֵ֥חַ
אֵלֶֽיךָ׃
Preserve
my soul,
for
I am
godly.
You
are my God;
save
Your servant
who trusts
in You.
Preserve
my soul;
for I [am] holy:
O thou my God,
save
thy servant
that trusteth
in thee.
3
חָנֵּ֥נִי
אֲדֹנָ֑י
כִּ֥י
אֵלֶ֥יךָ
אֶ֝קְרָ֗א
כָּל־
הַיּֽוֹם׃
Be merciful to me,
O Lord,
for
I call
to You
all
day long.
Be merciful
unto me, O Lord:
for I cry
unto thee daily.
4
שַׂ֭מֵּחַ
נֶ֣פֶשׁ
עַבְדֶּ֑ךָ
כִּ֥י
אֵלֶ֥יךָ
אֲ֝דֹנָ֗י
נַפְשִׁ֥י
אֶשָּֽׂא׃
Bring joy
to Your servant,
for
to You,
O Lord,
I lift up
my soul.
Rejoice
the soul
of thy servant:
for unto thee, O Lord,
do I lift up
my soul.
5
כִּֽי־
אַתָּ֣ה
אֲ֭דֹנָי
ט֣וֹב
וְסַלָּ֑ח
וְרַב־
חֶ֝֗סֶד
לְכָל־
קֹרְאֶֽיךָ׃
For
You,
O Lord,
are kind
and forgiving,
rich
in loving devotion
to all
who call on You.
For thou, Lord,
[art] good,
and ready to forgive;
and plenteous
in mercy
unto all them that call
upon thee.
6
הַאֲזִ֣ינָה
יְ֭הוָה
תְּפִלָּתִ֑י
וְ֝הַקְשִׁ֗יבָה
בְּק֣וֹל
תַּחֲנוּנוֹתָֽי׃
Hear
my prayer,
O LORD,
and attend
to my plea
for mercy.
Give ear,
O LORD,
unto my prayer;
and attend
to the voice
of my supplications.
7
בְּי֣וֹם
צָ֭רָתִ֥י
אֶקְרָאֶ֗ךָּ
כִּ֣י
תַעֲנֵֽנִי׃
In the day
of my distress
I call on You,
because
You answer me.
In the day
of my trouble
I will call
upon thee: for thou wilt answer
me.
8
אֵין־

אֲדֹנָ֗י

כְּֽמַעֲשֶֽׂיךָ׃
O Lord,
there is none
like You
among the gods,
nor any
works like Yours.
Among the gods
[there is] none like unto thee, O Lord;
neither [are there any works] like unto thy works.
9

לְפָנֶ֣יךָ
אֲדֹנָ֑י
וִֽיכַבְּד֣וּ
לִשְׁמֶֽךָ׃
All
the nations
You have made
will come
and bow
before You,
O Lord,
and they will glorify
Your name.
All nations
whom thou hast made
shall come
and worship
before
thee, O Lord;
and shall glorify
thy name.
10
כִּֽי־
גָד֣וֹל
אַ֭תָּה
וְעֹשֵׂ֣ה
נִפְלָא֑וֹת
אַתָּ֖ה
אֱלֹהִ֣ים
לְבַדֶּֽךָ׃
For
You
are great
and perform
wonders;
You
alone
are God.
For thou [art] great,
and doest
wondrous things:
thou [art] God
alone.
11
ה֘וֹרֵ֤נִי
יְהוָ֨ה ׀
דַּרְכֶּ֗ךָ
אֲהַלֵּ֥ךְ
בַּאֲמִתֶּ֑ךָ
יַחֵ֥ד

שְׁמֶֽךָ׃
Teach me
Your way,
O LORD,
that I may walk
in Your truth.
Give me an undivided
heart,
that I may fear
Your name.
Teach
me thy way,
O LORD;
I will walk
in thy truth:
unite
my heart
to fear
thy name.
12
אוֹדְךָ֤ ׀
אֲדֹנָ֣י

I will praise You,
O Lord
my God,
with all
my heart;
I will glorify
Your name
forever.
I will praise
thee, O Lord
my God,
with all my heart:
and I will glorify
thy name
for evermore.

גָּד֣וֹל
עָלָ֑י
וְהִצַּ֥לְתָּ
נַ֝פְשִׁ֗י
מִשְּׁא֥וֹל
תַּחְתִּיָּֽה׃
For
great is
Your loving devotion
to me;
You have delivered
me
from the depths
of Sheol.
For great
[is] thy mercy
toward me: and thou hast delivered
my soul
from the lowest
hell.
14
אֱלֹהִ֤ים ׀

The arrogant
rise
against me,
O God;
a band
of ruthless men
seeks
my life,
with no
regard
for You.
O God,
the proud
are risen
against me, and the assemblies
of violent
[men] have sought
after my soul;
and have not set
thee before them.

אֶ֥רֶךְ

חֶ֥סֶד
וֶאֱמֶֽת׃
But You,
O Lord,
are a compassionate
and gracious
God,
slow
to anger,
abounding
in loving devotion
and faithfulness.
But thou, O Lord,
[art] a God
full of compassion,
and gracious,
longsuffering,
and plenteous
in mercy
and truth.

Turn
to me
and have mercy;
grant
Your strength
to Your servant;
save
the son
of Your maidservant.
O turn
unto me, and have mercy
upon me; give
thy strength
unto thy servant,
and save
the son
of thine handmaid.

כִּֽי־
אַתָּ֥ה
יְ֝הוָ֗ה
עֲזַרְתַּ֥נִי
וְנִחַמְתָּֽנִי׃
Show
me
a sign
of Your goodness,
that my enemies
may see
and be ashamed;
for
You,
O LORD,
have helped me
and comforted me.
Shew
me a token
for good;
that they which hate
me may see
[it], and be ashamed:
because thou, LORD,
hast holpen
me, and comforted
me.
