1	שִׁ֖יר מִזְמ֣וֹר לְאָסָֽף׃ אֱלֹהִ֥ים אַל־ דֳּמִי־ לָ֑ךְ אַל־ תֶּחֱרַ֖שׁ וְאַל־ תִּשְׁקֹ֣ט אֵֽל׃	O God, do not keep silence; do not hold your peace or be still, O God!	A song. A psalm of Asaph. O God, do not remain silent; do not turn a deaf ear, do not stand aloof, O God.
2	כִּֽי־ הִנֵּ֣ה א֭וֹיְבֶיךָ יֶהֱמָי֑וּן וּ֝מְשַׂנְאֶ֗יךָ נָ֣שְׂאוּ רֹֽאשׁ׃	For behold, your enemies make an uproar; those who hate you have raised their heads.	See how your enemies growl, how your foes rear their heads.
3	עַֽל־ עַ֭מְּךָ יַעֲרִ֣ימוּ ס֑וֹד וְ֝יִתְיָעֲצ֗וּ עַל־ צְפוּנֶֽיךָ׃	They lay crafty plans against your people; they consult together against your treasured ones.	With cunning they conspire against your people; they plot against those you cherish.
4	אָמְר֗וּ לְ֭כוּ וְנַכְחִידֵ֣ם מִגּ֑וֹי וְלֹֽא־ יִזָּכֵ֖ר שֵֽׁם־ יִשְׂרָאֵ֣ל עֽוֹד׃	They say, “Come, let us wipe them out as a nation; let the name of Israel be remembered no more!”	“Come,” they say, “let us destroy them as a nation, so that Israel’s name is remembered no more.”
5	כִּ֤י נוֹעֲצ֣וּ לֵ֣ב יַחְדָּ֑ו עָ֝לֶ֗יךָ בְּרִ֣ית יִכְרֹֽתוּ׃	For they conspire with one accord; against you they make a covenant—	With one mind they plot together; they form an alliance against you—
6	אָהֳלֵ֣י אֱ֭דוֹם וְיִשְׁמְעֵאלִ֗ים מוֹאָ֥ב וְהַגְרִֽים׃	the tents of Edom and the Ishmaelites, Moab and the Hagrites,	the tents of Edom and the Ishmaelites, of Moab and the Hagrites,
7	גְּבָ֣ל וְ֭עַמּוֹן וַעֲמָלֵ֑ק פְּ֝לֶ֗שֶׁת עִם־ יֹ֥שְׁבֵי צֽוֹר׃	Gebal and Ammon and Amalek, Philistia with the inhabitants of Tyre;	Byblos, Ammon and Amalek, Philistia, with the people of Tyre.
8	גַּם־ אַ֭שּׁוּר נִלְוָ֣ה עִמָּ֑ם הָ֤י֥וּ זְר֖וֹעַ לִבְנֵי־ ל֣וֹט סֶֽלָה׃	Asshur also has joined them; they are the strong arm of the children of Lot. Selah	Even Assyria has joined them to reinforce Lot’s descendants.
9	עֲשֵֽׂה־ לָהֶ֥ם כְּמִדְיָ֑ן כְּֽסִֽיסְרָ֥א כְ֝יָבִ֗ין בְּנַ֣חַל קִישֽׁוֹן׃	Do to them as you did to Midian, as to Sisera and Jabin at the river Kishon,	Do to them as you did to Midian, as you did to Sisera and Jabin at the river Kishon,
10	נִשְׁמְד֥וּ בְֽעֵין־ דֹּ֑אר הָ֥יוּ דֹּ֝֗מֶן לָאֲדָמָֽה׃	who were destroyed at En-dor, who became dung for the ground.	who perished at Endor and became like dung on the ground.
11	שִׁיתֵ֣מוֹ נְ֭דִיבֵמוֹ כְּעֹרֵ֣ב וְכִזְאֵ֑ב וּֽכְזֶ֥בַח וּ֝כְצַלְמֻנָּ֗ע כָּל־ נְסִיכֵֽמוֹ׃	Make their nobles like Oreb and Zeeb, all their princes like Zebah and Zalmunna,	Make their nobles like Oreb and Zeeb, all their princes like Zebah and Zalmunna,
12	אֲשֶׁ֣ר אָ֭מְרוּ נִ֣ירֲשָׁה לָּ֑נוּ אֵ֝֗ת נְא֣וֹת אֱלֹהִֽים׃	who said, “Let us take possession for ourselves of the pastures of God.”	who said, “Let us take possession of the pasturelands of God.”
13	אֱ‍ֽלֹהַ֗י שִׁיתֵ֥מוֹ כַגַּלְגַּ֑ל כְּ֝קַ֗שׁ לִפְנֵי־ רֽוּחַ׃	O my God, make them like whirling dust, like chaff before the wind.	Make them like tumbleweed, my God, like chaff before the wind.
14	כְּאֵ֥שׁ תִּבְעַר־ יָ֑עַר וּ֝כְלֶהָבָ֗ה תְּלַהֵ֥ט הָרִֽים׃	As fire consumes the forest, as the flame sets the mountains ablaze,	As fire consumes the forest or a flame sets the mountains ablaze,
15	כֵּ֭ן תִּרְדְּפֵ֣ם בְּסַעֲרֶ֑ךָ וּבְסוּפָתְךָ֥ תְבַהֲלֵֽם׃	so may you pursue them with your tempest and terrify them with your hurricane!	so pursue them with your tempest and terrify them with your storm.
16	מַלֵּ֣א פְנֵיהֶ֣ם קָל֑וֹן וִֽיבַקְשׁ֖וּ שִׁמְךָ֣ יְהוָֽה׃	Fill their faces with shame, that they may seek your name, O LORD.	Cover their faces with shame, LORD, so that they will seek your name.
17	יֵבֹ֖שׁוּ וְיִבָּהֲל֥וּ עֲדֵי־ עַ֗ד וְֽיַחְפְּר֥וּ וְיֹאבֵֽדוּ׃	Let them be put to shame and dismayed forever; let them perish in disgrace,	May they ever be ashamed and dismayed; may they perish in disgrace.
18	וְֽיֵדְע֗וּ כִּֽי־ אַתָּ֬ה שִׁמְךָ֣ יְהוָ֣ה לְבַדֶּ֑ךָ עֶ֝לְי֗וֹן עַל־ כָּל־ הָאָֽרֶץ׃	that they may know that you alone, whose name is the LORD, are the Most High over all the earth.	Let them know that you, whose name is the LORD— that you alone are the Most High over all the earth.
