לְדָוִֽד׃
הַאֲזִ֣ינָה
אֱ֭לֹהִים
תְּפִלָּתִ֑י
וְאַל־

מִתְּחִנָּתִֽי׃
For the choirmaster.
With stringed instruments.
A Maskil
of David.
Listen
to my prayer,
O God,
and do not
ignore
my plea.
{{To the chief Musician
on Neginoth,
Maschil,
[A Psalm] of David.
}} Give ear
to my prayer,
O God;
and hide
not thyself from my supplication.

Attend
to me
and answer me.
I am restless
in my complaint,
and distraught
Attend
unto me, and hear
me: I mourn
in my complaint,
and make a noise;

at the voice
of the enemy,
at
the pressure
of the wicked.
For
they release
disaster
upon me
and revile me
in their anger.
Because of the voice
of the enemy,
because
of the oppression
of the wicked:
for they cast
iniquity
upon me, and in wrath
they hate
me.

My heart

within me,
and the terrors
of death
assail
me.
My heart
is sore pained
within
me: and the terrors
of death
are fallen
upon me.

Fear

Fearfulness

are come
upon me, and horror
hath overwhelmed
me.

I would fly away

And I said,
Oh that
I had wings

[for then] would I fly away,
and be at rest.

far off,
[and] remain
in the wilderness.
Selah.

O Lord,
[and] divide

for I have seen
violence

in the city.

It is not

For [it was] not an enemy

mine equal,
my guide,

Let death

for wickedness

yet [were] they drawn swords.
