1 Now in those days a decree went out from Caesar Augustus, that a census be taken of all the inhabited earth. 25 And there was a man in Jerusalem whose name was Simeon; and this man was righteous and devout, looking forward to the consolation of Israel; and the Holy Spirit was upon him. 49 And He said to them, “Why is it that you were looking for Me? Did you not know that I had to be in My Father’s house?” And he said to them, “Why were you looking for me? Did you not know that I must be in my Father’s house?” “Why were you searching for me?” he asked. “Didn’t you know I had to be in my Father’s house?”
50 And yet they on their part did not understand the statement which He had made to them. And they did not understand the saying that he spoke to them. But they did not understand what he was saying to them.
51 And He went down with them and came to Nazareth, and He continued to be subject to them; and His mother treasured all these things in her heart. And he went down with them and came to Nazareth and was submissive to them. And his mother treasured up all these things in her heart. Then he went down to Nazareth with them and was obedient to them. But his mother treasured all these things in her heart.
52 And Jesus kept increasing in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and people. And Jesus increased in wisdom and in stature and in favor with God and man. And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man.
