1 This is the account of Noah’s sons Shem, Ham, and Japheth, who also had sons after the flood. These are the generations of the sons of Noah, Shem, Ham, and Japheth. Sons were born to them after the flood. Now these <i>are</i> the generations of the sons of Noah, Shem, Ham, and Japheth: and unto them were sons born after the flood. Now these are <i>the records of</i> the generations of the sons of Noah: Shem, Ham, and Japheth; and sons were born to them after the flood. 5 From these, the maritime peoples separated into their territories, according to their languages, by clans within their nations. From these the coastland peoples spread in their lands, each with his own language, by their clans, in their nations. By these were the isles of the Gentiles divided in their lands; every one after his tongue, after their families, in their nations. And the territory of the Canaanites extended from Sidon in the direction of Gerar as far as Gaza, and in the direction of Sodom, Gomorrah, Admah, and Zeboiim, as far as Lasha. And the border of the Canaanites was from Sidon, as thou comest to Gerar, unto Gaza; as thou goest, unto Sodom, and Gomorrah, and Admah, and Zeboim, even unto Lasha. 21 And sons were also born to Shem, the older brother of Japheth; Shem was the forefather of all the sons of Eber. 25 Two sons were born to Eber: One was named Peleg, because in his days the earth was divided, and his brother was named Joktan. And unto Eber were born two sons: the name of one <i>was</i> Peleg; for in his days was the earth divided; and his brother's name <i>was</i> Joktan. 31 These are the sons of Shem, according to their clans, languages, lands, and nations. These are the sons of Shem, by their clans, their languages, their lands, and their nations. 32 All these are the clans of Noah’s sons, according to their generations and nations. From these the nations of the earth spread out after the flood. These are the clans of the sons of Noah, according to their genealogies, in their nations, and from these the nations spread abroad on the earth after the flood. These <i>are</i> the families of the sons of Noah, after their generations, in their nations: and by these were the nations divided in the earth after the flood. These are the families of the sons of Noah, according to their descendants, by their nations; and out of these the nations were separated on the earth after the flood. These are the clans of Noah’s sons, according to their lines of descent, within their nations. From these the nations spread out over the earth after the flood.
