1	“You shall not bear a false report; do not join your hand with a wicked man to be a malicious witness.	“You shall not spread a false report. You shall not join hands with a wicked man to be a malicious witness.	“Do not spread false reports. Do not help a guilty person by being a malicious witness.
2	You shall not follow the masses in doing evil, nor shall you testify in a case so as to turn aside after the masses in order to cause justice to be turned aside;	You shall not fall in with the many to do evil, nor shall you bear witness in a lawsuit, siding with the many, so as to pervert justice,	“Do not follow the crowd in doing wrong. When you give testimony in a lawsuit, do not pervert justice by siding with the crowd,
3	nor shall you be partial to a poor man in his case.	nor shall you be partial to a poor man in his lawsuit.	and do not show favoritism to a poor person in a lawsuit.
4	“If you meet your enemy’s ox or his donkey wandering away, you shall surely return it to him.	“If you meet your enemy’s ox or his donkey going astray, you shall bring it back to him.	“If you come across your enemy’s ox or donkey wandering off, be sure to return it.
5	If you see the donkey of one who hates you lying helpless under its load, you shall refrain from leaving it to him, you shall surely release it with him.	If you see the donkey of one who hates you lying down under its burden, you shall refrain from leaving him with it; you shall rescue it with him.	If you see the donkey of someone who hates you fallen down under its load, do not leave it there; be sure you help them with it.
6	“You shall not cause the justice due to your needy brother to be turned aside in his case.	“You shall not pervert the justice due to your poor in his lawsuit.	“Do not deny justice to your poor people in their lawsuits.
7	Keep far from a false charge, and do not kill the innocent or the righteous, for I will not justify the guilty.	Keep far from a false charge, and do not kill the innocent and righteous, for I will not acquit the wicked.	Have nothing to do with a false charge and do not put an innocent or honest person to death, for I will not acquit the guilty.
8	“And you shall not take a bribe, for a bribe blinds the clear-sighted and subverts the cause of the just.	And you shall take no bribe, for a bribe blinds the clear-sighted and subverts the cause of those who are in the right.	“Do not accept a bribe, for a bribe blinds those who see and twists the words of the innocent.
9	“And you shall not oppress a sojourner, since you yourselves know the soul of a sojourner, for you also were sojourners in the land of Egypt.	“You shall not oppress a sojourner. You know the heart of a sojourner, for you were sojourners in the land of Egypt.	“Do not oppress a foreigner; you yourselves know how it feels to be foreigners, because you were foreigners in Egypt.
10	“Now you shall sow your land for six years and gather in its produce,	“For six years you shall sow your land and gather in its yield,	“For six years you are to sow your fields and harvest the crops,
11	but on the seventh year you shall let it rest and lie fallow, so that the needy of your people may eat; and whatever they leave the beast of the field may eat. Thus you shall do with your vineyard and your olive grove.	but the seventh year you shall let it rest and lie fallow, that the poor of your people may eat; and what they leave the beasts of the field may eat. You shall do likewise with your vineyard, and with your olive orchard.	but during the seventh year let the land lie unplowed and unused. Then the poor among your people may get food from it, and the wild animals may eat what is left. Do the same with your vineyard and your olive grove.
12	“Six days you are to do your work, but on the seventh day you shall rest so that your ox and your donkey may rest, and the son of your maidservant, as well as your sojourner, may refresh themselves.	“Six days you shall do your work, but on the seventh day you shall rest; that your ox and your donkey may have rest, and the son of your servant woman, and the alien, may be refreshed.	“Six days do your work, but on the seventh day do not work, so that your ox and your donkey may rest, and so that the slave born in your household and the foreigner living among you may be refreshed.
13	Now concerning everything which I have said to you, beware; and do not mention the name of other gods, nor let them be heard from your mouth.	“Pay attention to all that I have said to you, and make no mention of the names of other gods, nor let it be heard on your lips.	“Be careful to do everything I have said to you. Do not invoke the names of other gods; do not let them be heard on your lips.
14	“Three times a year you shall celebrate a feast to Me.	“Three times in the year you shall keep a feast to me.	“Three times a year you are to celebrate a festival to me.
15	You shall keep the Feast of Unleavened Bread; for seven days you are to eat unleavened bread, as I commanded you, at the appointed time in the month Abib, for in it you came out of Egypt. And none shall appear before Me empty-handed.	You shall keep the Feast of Unleavened Bread. As I commanded you, you shall eat unleavened bread for seven days at the appointed time in the month of Abib, for in it you came out of Egypt. None shall appear before me empty-handed.	“Celebrate the Festival of Unleavened Bread; for seven days eat bread made without yeast, as I commanded you. Do this at the appointed time in the month of Aviv, for in that month you came out of Egypt. “No one is to appear before me empty-handed.
16	Also you shall keep the Feast of the Harvest of the first fruits of your labors from what you sow in the field; also the Feast of the Ingathering at the end of the year when you gather in the fruit of your labors from the field.	You shall keep the Feast of Harvest, of the firstfruits of your labor, of what you sow in the field. You shall keep the Feast of Ingathering at the end of the year, when you gather in from the field the fruit of your labor.	“Celebrate the Festival of Harvest with the firstfruits of the crops you sow in your field. “Celebrate the Festival of Ingathering at the end of the year, when you gather in your crops from the field.
17	Three times a year all your males shall appear before the Lord Yahweh.	Three times in the year shall all your males appear before the Lord GOD.	“Three times a year all the men are to appear before the Sovereign LORD.
18	“You shall not offer the blood of My sacrifice with leavened bread; nor is the fat of My feast to remain overnight until morning.	“You shall not offer the blood of my sacrifice with anything leavened, or let the fat of my feast remain until the morning.	“Do not offer the blood of a sacrifice to me along with anything containing yeast. “The fat of my festival offerings must not be kept until morning.
19	“You shall bring the choice first fruits of your ground into the house of Yahweh your God. “You shall not boil a young goat in the milk of its mother.	“The best of the firstfruits of your ground you shall bring into the house of the LORD your God. “You shall not boil a young goat in its mother’s milk.	“Bring the best of the firstfruits of your soil to the house of the LORD your God. “Do not cook a young goat in its mother’s milk.
20	“Behold, I am going to send an angel before you to keep you along the way and to bring you into the place which I have prepared.	“Behold, I send an angel before you to guard you on the way and to bring you to the place that I have prepared.	“See, I am sending an angel ahead of you to guard you along the way and to bring you to the place I have prepared.
21	Keep watch of yourself before him and listen to his voice; do not be rebellious toward him, for he will not pardon your transgression, since My name is in him.	Pay careful attention to him and obey his voice; do not rebel against him, for he will not pardon your transgression, for my name is in him.	Pay attention to him and listen to what he says. Do not rebel against him; he will not forgive your rebellion, since my Name is in him.
22	But if you truly listen to his voice and do all that I speak, then I will be an enemy to your enemies and an adversary to your adversaries.	“But if you carefully obey his voice and do all that I say, then I will be an enemy to your enemies and an adversary to your adversaries.	If you listen carefully to what he says and do all that I say, I will be an enemy to your enemies and will oppose those who oppose you.
23	For My angel will go before you and bring you in to the land of the Amorites, the Hittites, the Perizzites, the Canaanites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites; and I will annihilate them.	“When my angel goes before you and brings you to the Amorites and the Hittites and the Perizzites and the Canaanites, the Hivites and the Jebusites, and I blot them out,	My angel will go ahead of you and bring you into the land of the Amorites, Hittites, Perizzites, Canaanites, Hivites and Jebusites, and I will wipe them out.
24	You shall not worship their gods, you shall not serve them, and you shall not do according to their deeds; but you shall utterly pull them down and shatter their sacred pillars in pieces.	you shall not bow down to their gods nor serve them, nor do as they do, but you shall utterly overthrow them and break their pillars in pieces.	Do not bow down before their gods or worship them or follow their practices. You must demolish them and break their sacred stones to pieces.
25	But you shall serve Yahweh your God, and He will bless your bread and your water; and I will remove sickness from your midst.	You shall serve the LORD your God, and he will bless your bread and your water, and I will take sickness away from among you.	Worship the LORD your God, and his blessing will be on your food and water. I will take away sickness from among you,
26	There shall be no one miscarrying or barren in your land; I will fulfill the number of your days.	None shall miscarry or be barren in your land; I will fulfill the number of your days.	and none will miscarry or be barren in your land. I will give you a full life span.
27	I will send My terror ahead of you and throw into confusion all the people among whom you come, and I will make all your enemies turn their backs to you.	I will send my terror before you and will throw into confusion all the people against whom you shall come, and I will make all your enemies turn their backs to you.	“I will send my terror ahead of you and throw into confusion every nation you encounter. I will make all your enemies turn their backs and run.
28	And I will send hornets ahead of you so that they will drive out the Hivites, the Canaanites, and the Hittites before you.	And I will send hornets before you, which shall drive out the Hivites, the Canaanites, and the Hittites from before you.	I will send the hornet ahead of you to drive the Hivites, Canaanites and Hittites out of your way.
29	I will not drive them out before you in a single year, lest the land become desolate and the beasts of the field become too numerous for you.	I will not drive them out from before you in one year, lest the land become desolate and the wild beasts multiply against you.	But I will not drive them out in a single year, because the land would become desolate and the wild animals too numerous for you.
30	I will drive them out before you little by little, until you become fruitful and take the land as an inheritance.	Little by little I will drive them out from before you, until you have increased and possess the land.	Little by little I will drive them out before you, until you have increased enough to take possession of the land.
31	And I will set your boundary from the Red Sea to the sea of the Philistines, and from the wilderness to the River; for I will give the inhabitants of the land into your hand, and you will drive them out from before you.	And I will set your border from the Red Sea to the Sea of the Philistines, and from the wilderness to the Euphrates, for I will give the inhabitants of the land into your hand, and you shall drive them out before you.	“I will establish your borders from the Red Sea to the Mediterranean Sea, and from the desert to the Euphrates River. I will give into your hands the people who live in the land, and you will drive them out before you.
32	You shall cut no covenant with them or with their gods.	You shall make no covenant with them and their gods.	Do not make a covenant with them or with their gods.
33	They shall not live in your land, lest they make you sin against Me; for if you serve their gods, it will surely be a snare to you.”	They shall not dwell in your land, lest they make you sin against me; for if you serve their gods, it will surely be a snare to you.”	Do not let them live in your land or they will cause you to sin against me, because the worship of their gods will certainly be a snare to you.”
