1	YOU shall not confirm a false report: do not stretch out your hand taking oaths with the guilty to become a false witness for him.	“You shall not spread a false report. You shall not join hands with a wicked man to be a malicious witness.	“Do not spread false reports. Do not help a guilty person by being a malicious witness.
2	You shall not follow a multitude to do evil; neither shall you testify in a lawsuit so as to pervert justice, in order to side with a multitude which deviates from justice.	You shall not fall in with the many to do evil, nor shall you bear witness in a lawsuit, siding with the many, so as to pervert justice,	“Do not follow the crowd in doing wrong. When you give testimony in a lawsuit, do not pervert justice by siding with the crowd,
3	Neither shall you be partial to a poor man in his lawsuit.	nor shall you be partial to a poor man in his lawsuit.	and do not show favoritism to a poor person in a lawsuit.
4	If you meet your enemy's ox or his ass going astray, you shall surely bring it back to him again.	“If you meet your enemy’s ox or his donkey going astray, you shall bring it back to him.	“If you come across your enemy’s ox or donkey wandering off, be sure to return it.
5	If you should see the ass of your enemy lying under its burden, and you are unwilling to help him lift it up, you should surely help him to lift it up nevertheless.	If you see the donkey of one who hates you lying down under its burden, you shall refrain from leaving him with it; you shall rescue it with him.	If you see the donkey of someone who hates you fallen down under its load, do not leave it there; be sure you help them with it.
6	You shall not pervert the justice due to a poor man in his lawsuit.	“You shall not pervert the justice due to your poor in his lawsuit.	“Do not deny justice to your poor people in their lawsuits.
7	Keep far from a false matter; and the innocent and righteous you shall not slay; for I will not justify the wicked.	Keep far from a false charge, and do not kill the innocent and righteous, for I will not acquit the wicked.	Have nothing to do with a false charge and do not put an innocent or honest person to death, for I will not acquit the guilty.
8	And you shall take no bribe; for a bribe blinds the eyes of the wise in judgment and perverts the words of the righteous.	And you shall take no bribe, for a bribe blinds the clear-sighted and subverts the cause of those who are in the right.	“Do not accept a bribe, for a bribe blinds those who see and twists the words of the innocent.
9	You shall not oppress strangers: for you know the life of a stranger; you were strangers in the land of Egypt.	“You shall not oppress a sojourner. You know the heart of a sojourner, for you were sojourners in the land of Egypt.	“Do not oppress a foreigner; you yourselves know how it feels to be foreigners, because you were foreigners in Egypt.
10	For six years you shall sow your land and shall gather in the crops thereof:	“For six years you shall sow your land and gather in its yield,	“For six years you are to sow your fields and harvest the crops,
11	But the seventh year you shall leave it fallow, so that the poor of your people may eat of the fruits of it; and what is left the wild beasts may eat. You shall do in like manner with your vineyard and with your olive yard.	but the seventh year you shall let it rest and lie fallow, that the poor of your people may eat; and what they leave the beasts of the field may eat. You shall do likewise with your vineyard, and with your olive orchard.	but during the seventh year let the land lie unplowed and unused. Then the poor among your people may get food from it, and the wild animals may eat what is left. Do the same with your vineyard and your olive grove.
12	Six days you shall do your work, and on the seventh day you shall rest, that your ox and your ass may rest and the son of your handmaid; and that the stranger in your towns may be refreshed.	“Six days you shall do your work, but on the seventh day you shall rest; that your ox and your donkey may have rest, and the son of your servant woman, and the alien, may be refreshed.	“Six days do your work, but on the seventh day do not work, so that your ox and your donkey may rest, and so that the slave born in your household and the foreigner living among you may be refreshed.
13	Take heed of all things that I have said to you; and make no mention of the name of false idols, neither think of them.	“Pay attention to all that I have said to you, and make no mention of the names of other gods, nor let it be heard on your lips.	“Be careful to do everything I have said to you. Do not invoke the names of other gods; do not let them be heard on your lips.
14	Three times in the year you shall celebrate a festival for me.	“Three times in the year you shall keep a feast to me.	“Three times a year you are to celebrate a festival to me.
15	You shall keep the festival of the unleavened bread (you shall eat unleavened bread for seven days, as I commanded you, at the time appointed of the month of Abib; for in the month of Abib you came out of the land of Egypt; you shall not appear before me without a gift offering:)	You shall keep the Feast of Unleavened Bread. As I commanded you, you shall eat unleavened bread for seven days at the appointed time in the month of Abib, for in it you came out of Egypt. None shall appear before me empty-handed.	“Celebrate the Festival of Unleavened Bread; for seven days eat bread made without yeast, as I commanded you. Do this at the appointed time in the month of Aviv, for in that month you came out of Egypt. “No one is to appear before me empty-handed.
16	And the festival of the harvest, the first fruits of your grain which you sow in the field; and the festival of the ingathering, which is at the end of the year, when you have gathered your crop from the field.	You shall keep the Feast of Harvest, of the firstfruits of your labor, of what you sow in the field. You shall keep the Feast of Ingathering at the end of the year, when you gather in from the field the fruit of your labor.	“Celebrate the Festival of Harvest with the firstfruits of the crops you sow in your field. “Celebrate the Festival of Ingathering at the end of the year, when you gather in your crops from the field.
17	Three times in the year all your gift offerings shall appear before the LORD your God.	Three times in the year shall all your males appear before the Lord GOD.	“Three times a year all the men are to appear before the Sovereign LORD.
18	You shall not offer the blood of a sacrifice with leavened bread; neither shall the fat of the festival sacrifices remain until morning.	“You shall not offer the blood of my sacrifice with anything leavened, or let the fat of my feast remain until the morning.	“Do not offer the blood of a sacrifice to me along with anything containing yeast. “The fat of my festival offerings must not be kept until morning.
19	The best of the first fruits of your land you shall bring into the house of the LORD your God. You shall not cook the meat of a kid in its mother's milk.	“The best of the firstfruits of your ground you shall bring into the house of the LORD your God. “You shall not boil a young goat in its mother’s milk.	“Bring the best of the firstfruits of your soil to the house of the LORD your God. “Do not cook a young goat in its mother’s milk.
20	Behold, I send an angel before you to guard you on the way and to bring you into the land which I have prepared.	“Behold, I send an angel before you to guard you on the way and to bring you to the place that I have prepared.	“See, I am sending an angel ahead of you to guard you along the way and to bring you to the place I have prepared.
21	Heed him and obey his voice; do not strive against him; perhaps he will not pardon your transgressions; for my name is upon him.	Pay careful attention to him and obey his voice; do not rebel against him, for he will not pardon your transgression, for my name is in him.	Pay attention to him and listen to what he says. Do not rebel against him; he will not forgive your rebellion, since my Name is in him.
22	But if you shall indeed obey his voice and do all that he says to you, then I will hate those who hate you and oppress your enemies.	“But if you carefully obey his voice and do all that I say, then I will be an enemy to your enemies and an adversary to your adversaries.	If you listen carefully to what he says and do all that I say, I will be an enemy to your enemies and will oppose those who oppose you.
23	For my angel shall go before you and bring you against the Amorites and the Hittites and the Perizzites and the Canaanites and the Hivites and the Jebusites; and I will destroy them.	“When my angel goes before you and brings you to the Amorites and the Hittites and the Perizzites and the Canaanites, the Hivites and the Jebusites, and I blot them out,	My angel will go ahead of you and bring you into the land of the Amorites, Hittites, Perizzites, Canaanites, Hivites and Jebusites, and I will wipe them out.
24	You shall not worship their gods nor serve them nor do after their works; but you shall utterly overthrow them and break down their statues.	you shall not bow down to their gods nor serve them, nor do as they do, but you shall utterly overthrow them and break their pillars in pieces.	Do not bow down before their gods or worship them or follow their practices. You must demolish them and break their sacred stones to pieces.
25	And you shall serve the LORD your God, and he shall bless your bread and your water; and I will take sickness away from your houses.	You shall serve the LORD your God, and he will bless your bread and your water, and I will take sickness away from among you.	Worship the LORD your God, and his blessing will be on your food and water. I will take away sickness from among you,
26	There shall nothing cast their young nor be barren in your land; the number of your days I will fulfil.	None shall miscarry or be barren in your land; I will fulfill the number of your days.	and none will miscarry or be barren in your land. I will give you a full life span.
27	I will send my fear before you and will destroy all the peoples against whom you shall go to war, and I will make all your enemies flee from you.	I will send my terror before you and will throw into confusion all the people against whom you shall come, and I will make all your enemies turn their backs to you.	“I will send my terror ahead of you and throw into confusion every nation you encounter. I will make all your enemies turn their backs and run.
28	And I will send fierce armies before you, and will destroy the Canaanites and the Hittites from before you.	And I will send hornets before you, which shall drive out the Hivites, the Canaanites, and the Hittites from before you.	I will send the hornet ahead of you to drive the Hivites, Canaanites and Hittites out of your way.
29	I will not destroy them from before you in one year, lest the land become desolate and the wild beasts multiply against you.	I will not drive them out from before you in one year, lest the land become desolate and the wild beasts multiply against you.	But I will not drive them out in a single year, because the land would become desolate and the wild animals too numerous for you.
30	Little by little I will destroy them before you, till you become strong and inherit the land.	Little by little I will drive them out from before you, until you have increased and possess the land.	Little by little I will drive them out before you, until you have increased enough to take possession of the land.
31	And I will set your boundaries from the Red Sea as far as the sea of the Philistines, and from the desert to the river Euphrates; for I will deliver the inhabitants of the land into your hands; and you shall destroy them.	And I will set your border from the Red Sea to the Sea of the Philistines, and from the wilderness to the Euphrates, for I will give the inhabitants of the land into your hand, and you shall drive them out before you.	“I will establish your borders from the Red Sea to the Mediterranean Sea, and from the desert to the Euphrates River. I will give into your hands the people who live in the land, and you will drive them out before you.
32	You shall make no covenant with them, nor with their idols.	You shall make no covenant with them and their gods.	Do not make a covenant with them or with their gods.
33	They shall not dwell in your land, lest they make you sin before me; you shall not serve their gods, lest they be a stumbling block to you.	They shall not dwell in your land, lest they make you sin against me; for if you serve their gods, it will surely be a snare to you.”	Do not let them live in your land or they will cause you to sin against me, because the worship of their gods will certainly be a snare to you.”
