1	Thou shalt not receive the voice of a lie: neither shalt thou join thy hand to bear false witness for a wicked person.	“You shall not spread a false report. You shall not join hands with a wicked man to be a malicious witness.	“Do not spread false reports. Do not help a guilty person by being a malicious witness.
2	Thou shalt not follow the multitude to do evil: neither shalt thou yield in judgment, to the opinion of the most part, to stray from the truth.	You shall not fall in with the many to do evil, nor shall you bear witness in a lawsuit, siding with the many, so as to pervert justice,	“Do not follow the crowd in doing wrong. When you give testimony in a lawsuit, do not pervert justice by siding with the crowd,
3	Neither shalt thou favour a poor man in judgment.	nor shall you be partial to a poor man in his lawsuit.	and do not show favoritism to a poor person in a lawsuit.
4	If thou meet thy enemy's ox or ass going astray, bring it back to him.	“If you meet your enemy’s ox or his donkey going astray, you shall bring it back to him.	“If you come across your enemy’s ox or donkey wandering off, be sure to return it.
5	If thou see the ass of him that hateth thee lie underneath his burden, thou shalt not pass by, but shalt lift him up with him.	If you see the donkey of one who hates you lying down under its burden, you shall refrain from leaving him with it; you shall rescue it with him.	If you see the donkey of someone who hates you fallen down under its load, do not leave it there; be sure you help them with it.
6	Thou shalt not go aside in the poor man's judgment.	“You shall not pervert the justice due to your poor in his lawsuit.	“Do not deny justice to your poor people in their lawsuits.
7	Thou shalt fly lying. The innocent and just person thou shalt not put to death: because I abhor the wicked.	Keep far from a false charge, and do not kill the innocent and righteous, for I will not acquit the wicked.	Have nothing to do with a false charge and do not put an innocent or honest person to death, for I will not acquit the guilty.
8	Neither shalt thou take bribes, which even blind the wise, and pervert the words of the just.	And you shall take no bribe, for a bribe blinds the clear-sighted and subverts the cause of those who are in the right.	“Do not accept a bribe, for a bribe blinds those who see and twists the words of the innocent.
9	Thou shalt not molest a stranger, for you know the hearts of strangers: for you also were strangers in the land of Egypt.	“You shall not oppress a sojourner. You know the heart of a sojourner, for you were sojourners in the land of Egypt.	“Do not oppress a foreigner; you yourselves know how it feels to be foreigners, because you were foreigners in Egypt.
10	Six years thou shalt sow thy ground, and shalt gather the corn thereof.	“For six years you shall sow your land and gather in its yield,	“For six years you are to sow your fields and harvest the crops,
11	But the seventh year thou shalt let it alone, and suffer it to rest, that the poor of thy people may eat, and whatsoever shall be left, let the beasts of the field eat it: so shalt thou do with thy vineyard and thy oliveyard.	but the seventh year you shall let it rest and lie fallow, that the poor of your people may eat; and what they leave the beasts of the field may eat. You shall do likewise with your vineyard, and with your olive orchard.	but during the seventh year let the land lie unplowed and unused. Then the poor among your people may get food from it, and the wild animals may eat what is left. Do the same with your vineyard and your olive grove.
12	Six days thou shalt work: the seventh day thou shalt cease, that thy ox and thy ass may rest: and the son of thy handmaid and the stranger may be refreshed.	“Six days you shall do your work, but on the seventh day you shall rest; that your ox and your donkey may have rest, and the son of your servant woman, and the alien, may be refreshed.	“Six days do your work, but on the seventh day do not work, so that your ox and your donkey may rest, and so that the slave born in your household and the foreigner living among you may be refreshed.
13	Keep all things that I have said to you. And by the name of strange gods you shall not swear, neither shall it be heard out of your mouth.	“Pay attention to all that I have said to you, and make no mention of the names of other gods, nor let it be heard on your lips.	“Be careful to do everything I have said to you. Do not invoke the names of other gods; do not let them be heard on your lips.
14	Three times every year you shall celebrate feasts to me.	“Three times in the year you shall keep a feast to me.	“Three times a year you are to celebrate a festival to me.
15	Thou shalt keep the feast of unleavened bread. Seven days shalt thou eat unleavened bread, as I commanded thee, in the time of the month of new corn, when thou didst come forth out of Egypt: thou shalt not appear empty before me.	You shall keep the Feast of Unleavened Bread. As I commanded you, you shall eat unleavened bread for seven days at the appointed time in the month of Abib, for in it you came out of Egypt. None shall appear before me empty-handed.	“Celebrate the Festival of Unleavened Bread; for seven days eat bread made without yeast, as I commanded you. Do this at the appointed time in the month of Aviv, for in that month you came out of Egypt. “No one is to appear before me empty-handed.
16	And the feast of the harvest of the firstfruits of thy work, whatsoever thou hast sown in the field. The feast also in the end of the year, when thou hast gathered in all thy corn out of the field.	You shall keep the Feast of Harvest, of the firstfruits of your labor, of what you sow in the field. You shall keep the Feast of Ingathering at the end of the year, when you gather in from the field the fruit of your labor.	“Celebrate the Festival of Harvest with the firstfruits of the crops you sow in your field. “Celebrate the Festival of Ingathering at the end of the year, when you gather in your crops from the field.
17	Thrice a year shall all thy males appear before the Lord thy God.	Three times in the year shall all your males appear before the Lord GOD.	“Three times a year all the men are to appear before the Sovereign LORD.
18	Thou shalt not sacrifice the blood of my victim upon leaven, neither shall the fat of my solemnity remain until the morning.	“You shall not offer the blood of my sacrifice with anything leavened, or let the fat of my feast remain until the morning.	“Do not offer the blood of a sacrifice to me along with anything containing yeast. “The fat of my festival offerings must not be kept until morning.
19	Thou shalt carry the firstfruits of the corn of thy ground to the house of the Lord thy God. Thou shalt not boil a kid in the milk of his dam.	“The best of the firstfruits of your ground you shall bring into the house of the LORD your God. “You shall not boil a young goat in its mother’s milk.	“Bring the best of the firstfruits of your soil to the house of the LORD your God. “Do not cook a young goat in its mother’s milk.
20	Behold I will send my angel, who shall go before thee, and keep thee in thy journey, and bring thee into the place that I have prepared.	“Behold, I send an angel before you to guard you on the way and to bring you to the place that I have prepared.	“See, I am sending an angel ahead of you to guard you along the way and to bring you to the place I have prepared.
21	Take notice of him, and hear his voice, and do not think him one to be contemned: for he will not forgive when thou hast sinned, and my name is in him.	Pay careful attention to him and obey his voice; do not rebel against him, for he will not pardon your transgression, for my name is in him.	Pay attention to him and listen to what he says. Do not rebel against him; he will not forgive your rebellion, since my Name is in him.
22	But if thou wilt hear his voice, and do all that I speak, I will be an enemy to thy enemies, and will afflict them that afflict thee.	“But if you carefully obey his voice and do all that I say, then I will be an enemy to your enemies and an adversary to your adversaries.	If you listen carefully to what he says and do all that I say, I will be an enemy to your enemies and will oppose those who oppose you.
23	And my angel shall go before thee, and shall bring thee in unto the Amorrhite, and the Hethite, and the Pherezite, and the Chanaanite, and the Hevite, and the Jebusite, whom I will destroy.	“When my angel goes before you and brings you to the Amorites and the Hittites and the Perizzites and the Canaanites, the Hivites and the Jebusites, and I blot them out,	My angel will go ahead of you and bring you into the land of the Amorites, Hittites, Perizzites, Canaanites, Hivites and Jebusites, and I will wipe them out.
24	Thou shalt not adore their gods, nor serve them. Thou shalt not do their works, but shalt destroy them, and break their statues.	you shall not bow down to their gods nor serve them, nor do as they do, but you shall utterly overthrow them and break their pillars in pieces.	Do not bow down before their gods or worship them or follow their practices. You must demolish them and break their sacred stones to pieces.
25	And you shall serve the Lord your God, that I may bless your bread and your waters, and may take away sickness from the midst of thee.	You shall serve the LORD your God, and he will bless your bread and your water, and I will take sickness away from among you.	Worship the LORD your God, and his blessing will be on your food and water. I will take away sickness from among you,
26	There shall not be one fruitless nor barren in thy land: I will fill the number of thy days.	None shall miscarry or be barren in your land; I will fulfill the number of your days.	and none will miscarry or be barren in your land. I will give you a full life span.
27	I will send my fear before thee, and will destroy all the people to whom thou shalt come: and will turn the backs of all thy enemies before thee.	I will send my terror before you and will throw into confusion all the people against whom you shall come, and I will make all your enemies turn their backs to you.	“I will send my terror ahead of you and throw into confusion every nation you encounter. I will make all your enemies turn their backs and run.
28	Sending out hornets before, that shall drive away the Hevite, and the Chanaanite, and the Hethite, before thou come in.	And I will send hornets before you, which shall drive out the Hivites, the Canaanites, and the Hittites from before you.	I will send the hornet ahead of you to drive the Hivites, Canaanites and Hittites out of your way.
29	I will not cast them out from thy face in one year: lest the land be brought into a wilderness, and the beasts multiply against thee.	I will not drive them out from before you in one year, lest the land become desolate and the wild beasts multiply against you.	But I will not drive them out in a single year, because the land would become desolate and the wild animals too numerous for you.
30	By little and little I will drive them out from before thee, till thou be increased, and dost possess the land.	Little by little I will drive them out from before you, until you have increased and possess the land.	Little by little I will drive them out before you, until you have increased enough to take possession of the land.
31	And I will set thy bounds from the Red Sea to the sea of the Palestines, and from the desert to the river: I will deliver the inhabitants of the land into your hands, and will drive them out from before you.	And I will set your border from the Red Sea to the Sea of the Philistines, and from the wilderness to the Euphrates, for I will give the inhabitants of the land into your hand, and you shall drive them out before you.	“I will establish your borders from the Red Sea to the Mediterranean Sea, and from the desert to the Euphrates River. I will give into your hands the people who live in the land, and you will drive them out before you.
32	Thou shalt not enter into league with them, nor with their gods.	You shall make no covenant with them and their gods.	Do not make a covenant with them or with their gods.
33	Let them not dwell in thy land, lest perhaps thy make thee sin against me, if thou serve their god: which undoubtedly will be a scandal to thee.	They shall not dwell in your land, lest they make you sin against me; for if you serve their gods, it will surely be a snare to you.”	Do not let them live in your land or they will cause you to sin against me, because the worship of their gods will certainly be a snare to you.”
