1 David spoke the words of this song to the LORD on the day the LORD rescued him from the grasp of all his enemies and from the grasp of Saul. 50 Therefore I will give thanks to you among the nations, LORD; I will sing praises about your name. “For this I will praise you, O LORD, among the nations, and sing praises to your name. Therefore I will praise you, LORD, among the nations; I will sing the praises of your name.
51 He is a tower of salvation for his king; he shows loyalty to his anointed, to David and his descendants forever. Great salvation he brings to his king, and shows steadfast love to his anointed, to David and his offspring forever.” “He gives his king great victories; he shows unfailing kindness to his anointed, to David and his descendants forever.”
