NET Parallel NASB [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
NET BibleNew American Standard Bible 1995
Now, this is what the LORD says, the one who created you, O Jacob, and formed you, O Israel: "Don't be afraid, for I will protect you. I call you by name, you are mine. 1But now, thus says the LORD, your Creator, O Jacob, And He who formed you, O Israel, "Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name; you are Mine!
When you pass through the waters, I am with you; when you pass through the streams, they will not overwhelm you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not harm you. 2"When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they will not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be scorched, Nor will the flame burn you.
For I am the LORD your God, the Holy One of Israel, your deliverer. I have handed over Egypt as a ransom price, Ethiopia and Seba in place of you. 3"For I am the LORD your God, The Holy One of Israel, your Savior; I have given Egypt as your ransom, Cush and Seba in your place.
Since you are precious and special in my sight, and I love you, I will hand over people in place of you, nations in place of your life. 4"Since you are precious in My sight, Since you are honored and I love you, I will give other men in your place and other peoples in exchange for your life.
Don't be afraid, for I am with you. From the east I will bring your descendants; from the west I will gather you. 5"Do not fear, for I am with you; I will bring your offspring from the east, And gather you from the west.
I will say to the north, 'Hand them over!' and to the south, 'Don't hold any back!' Bring my sons from distant lands, and my daughters from the remote regions of the earth, 6"I will say to the north, 'Give them up!' And to the south, 'Do not hold them back.' Bring My sons from afar And My daughters from the ends of the earth,
everyone who belongs to me, whom I created for my glory, whom I formed--yes, whom I made! 7Everyone who is called by My name, And whom I have created for My glory, Whom I have formed, even whom I have made."
Bring out the people who are blind, even though they have eyes, those who are deaf, even though they have ears! 8Bring out the people who are blind, even though they have eyes, And the deaf, even though they have ears.
All nations gather together, the peoples assemble. Who among them announced this? Who predicted earlier events for us? Let them produce their witnesses to testify they were right; let them listen and affirm, 'It is true.' 9All the nations have gathered together So that the peoples may be assembled. Who among them can declare this And proclaim to us the former things? Let them present their witnesses that they may be justified, Or let them hear and say, "It is true."
You are my witnesses," says the LORD, "my servant whom I have chosen, so that you may consider and believe in me, and understand that I am he. No god was formed before me, and none will outlive me. 10"You are My witnesses," declares the LORD, "And My servant whom I have chosen, So that you may know and believe Me And understand that I am He. Before Me there was no God formed, And there will be none after Me.
I, I am the LORD, and there is no deliverer besides me. 11"I, even I, am the LORD, And there is no savior besides Me.
I decreed and delivered and proclaimed, and there was no other god among you. You are my witnesses," says the LORD, "that I am God. 12"It is I who have declared and saved and proclaimed, And there was no strange god among you; So you are My witnesses," declares the LORD, "And I am God.
From this day forward I am he; no one can deliver from my power; I will act, and who can prevent it?" 13"Even from eternity I am He, And there is none who can deliver out of My hand; I act and who can reverse it?"
This is what the LORD says, your protector, the Holy One of Israel: "For your sake I send to Babylon and make them all fugitives, turning the Babylonians' joyful shouts into mourning songs. 14Thus says the LORD your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel, "For your sake I have sent to Babylon, And will bring them all down as fugitives, Even the Chaldeans, into the ships in which they rejoice.
I am the LORD, your Holy One, the one who created Israel, your king." 15"I am the LORD, your Holy One, The Creator of Israel, your King."
This is what the LORD says, the one who made a road through the sea, a pathway through the surging waters, 16Thus says the LORD, Who makes a way through the sea And a path through the mighty waters,
the one who led chariots and horses to destruction, together with a mighty army. They fell down, never to rise again; they were extinguished, put out like a burning wick: 17Who brings forth the chariot and the horse, The army and the mighty man (They will lie down together and not rise again; They have been quenched and extinguished like a wick):
"Don't remember these earlier events; don't recall these former events. 18"Do not call to mind the former things, Or ponder things of the past.
"Look, I am about to do something new. Now it begins to happen! Do you not recognize it? Yes, I will make a road in the desert and paths in the wilderness. 19"Behold, I will do something new, Now it will spring forth; Will you not be aware of it? I will even make a roadway in the wilderness, Rivers in the desert.
The wild animals of the desert honor me, the jackals and ostriches, because I put water in the desert and streams in the wilderness, to quench the thirst of my chosen people, 20"The beasts of the field will glorify Me, The jackals and the ostriches, Because I have given waters in the wilderness And rivers in the desert, To give drink to My chosen people.
the people whom I formed for myself, so they might praise me." 21"The people whom I formed for Myself Will declare My praise.
"But you did not call for me, O Jacob; you did not long for me, O Israel. 22"Yet you have not called on Me, O Jacob; But you have become weary of Me, O Israel.
You did not bring me lambs for your burnt offerings; you did not honor me with your sacrifices. I did not burden you with offerings; I did not make you weary by demanding incense. 23"You have not brought to Me the sheep of your burnt offerings, Nor have you honored Me with your sacrifices. I have not burdened you with offerings, Nor wearied you with incense.
You did not buy me aromatic reeds; you did not present to me the fat of your sacrifices. Yet you burdened me with your sins; you made me weary with your evil deeds. 24"You have bought Me not sweet cane with money, Nor have you filled Me with the fat of your sacrifices; Rather you have burdened Me with your sins, You have wearied Me with your iniquities.
I, I am the one who blots out your rebellious deeds for my sake; your sins I do not remember. 25"I, even I, am the one who wipes out your transgressions for My own sake, And I will not remember your sins.
Remind me of what happened! Let's debate! You, prove to me that you are right! 26"Put Me in remembrance, let us argue our case together; State your cause, that you may be proved right.
The father of your nation sinned; your spokesmen rebelled against me. 27"Your first forefather sinned, And your spokesmen have transgressed against Me.
So I defiled your holy princes, and handed Jacob over to destruction, and subjected Israel to humiliating abuse." 28"So I will pollute the princes of the sanctuary, And I will consign Jacob to the ban and Israel to revilement.
