Dedication to Theophilus

(Acts 1:1-3)

NIVESVNASBKJVHCSB
1Many have undertaken to draw up an account of the things that have been fulfilled among us,1Inasmuch as many have undertaken to compile a narrative of the things that have been accomplished among us,1Inasmuch as many have undertaken to compile an account of the things accomplished among us,1Forasmuch as many have taken in hand to set forth in order a declaration of those things which are most surely believed among us,1Many have undertaken to compile a narrative about the events that have been fulfilled among us,
2just as they were handed down to us by those who from the first were eyewitnesses and servants of the word.2just as those who from the beginning were eyewitnesses and ministers of the word have delivered them to us,2just as they were handed down to us by those who from the beginning were eyewitnesses and servants of the word,2Even as they delivered them unto us, which from the beginning were eyewitnesses, and ministers of the word;2just as the original eyewitnesses and servants of the word handed them down to us.
3With this in mind, since I myself have carefully investigated everything from the beginning, I too decided to write an orderly account for you, most excellent Theophilus,3it seemed good to me also, having followed all things closely for some time past, to write an orderly account for you, most excellent Theophilus,3it seemed fitting for me as well, having investigated everything carefully from the beginning, to write it out for you in consecutive order, most excellent Theophilus;3It seemed good to me also, having had perfect understanding of all things from the very first, to write unto thee in order, most excellent Theophilus,3It also seemed good to me, since I have carefully investigated everything from the very first, to write to you in an orderly sequence, most honorable Theophilus,
4so that you may know the certainty of the things you have been taught.4that you may have certainty concerning the things you have been taught.4so that you may know the exact truth about the things you have been taught.4That thou mightest know the certainty of those things, wherein thou hast been instructed.4so that you may know the certainty of the things about which you have been instructed.

6Both of them were righteous in the sight of God, observing all the Lord's commands and decrees blamelessly.6And they were both righteous before God, walking blamelessly in all the commandments and statutes of the Lord.6They were both righteous in the sight of God, walking blamelessly in all the commandments and requirements of the Lord.6And they were both righteous before God, walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blameless.6Both were righteous in God's sight, living without blame according to all the commands and requirements of the Lord.

65All the neighbors were filled with awe, and throughout the hill country of Judea people were talking about all these things.65And fear came on all their neighbors. And all these things were talked about through all the hill country of Judea,65Fear came on all those living around them; and all these matters were being talked about in all the hill country of Judea.65And fear came on all that dwelt round about them: and all these sayings were noised abroad throughout all the hill country of Judaea.65Fear came on all those who lived around them, and all these things were being talked about throughout the hill country of Judea.
66Everyone who heard this wondered about it, asking, "What then is this child going to be?" For the Lord's hand was with him.66and all who heard them laid them up in their hearts, saying, “What then will this child be?” For the hand of the Lord was with him.66All who heard them kept them in mind, saying, "What then will this child turn out to be?" For the hand of the Lord was certainly with him.66And all they that heard them laid them up in their hearts, saying, What manner of child shall this be! And the hand of the Lord was with him.66All who heard about him took it to heart, saying, "What then will this child become?" For, indeed, the Lord's hand was with him.
