Hebrews 12:26, 27
At that time His voice shook the earth, but now He has promised, "Once more I will shake not only the earth, but heaven as well." . . .
Surely a trial will come! And what if even the scepter, which the sword despises, does not continue? declares the Lord GOD.
Ezekiel 17:22, 23
This is what the Lord GOD says: 'I will take a shoot from the lofty top of the cedar, and I will set it out. I will pluck a tender sprig from its topmost shoots, and I will plant it on a high and lofty mountain. . . .
I will appoint over them one shepherd, My servant David, and he will feed them. He will feed them and be their shepherd.
Ezekiel 37:24, 25
My servant David will be king over them, and there will be one shepherd for all of them. They will follow My ordinances and keep and observe My statutes. . . .
The scepter will not depart from Judah, nor the staff from between his feet, until Shiloh comes and the allegiance of the nations is his.

Jeremiah 23:5, 6
Behold, the days are coming, declares the LORD, when I will raise up for David a Righteous Branch, and He will reign wisely as king and administer justice and righteousness in the land. . . .
Their leader will be one of their own, and their ruler will arise from their midst. And I will bring him near, and he will approach Me, for who would dare on his own to approach Me? declares the LORD.
Jeremiah 33:15, 16, 21, 26
In those days and at that time I will cause to sprout a Righteous Branch of David, and He will administer justice and righteousness in the land. . . .
In the days of those kings, the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be destroyed, and this kingdom will not be left to another people. It will shatter all these kingdoms and bring them to an end, but will itself stand forever.
Know and understand this: From the issuing of the decree to restore and rebuild Jerusalem, until the Messiah, the Prince, there will be seven weeks and sixty-two weeks. It will be rebuilt with streets and a trench, but in times of distress.
Afterward, the people of Israel will return and seek the LORD their God and David their king. They will come trembling to the LORD and to His goodness in the last days.
Amos 9:11, 12
"In that day I will restore the fallen tent of David. I will repair its gaps, restore its ruins, and rebuild it as in the days of old, . . .
But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, who are small among the clans of Judah, out of you will come forth for Me One to be ruler over Israel, whose origins are of old, from the days of eternity.
I will shake all the nations, and they will come with all their treasures, and I will fill this house with glory, says the LORD of Hosts.
Zechariah 6:12, 13
And you are to tell him that this is what the LORD of Hosts says: 'Behold, a man whose name is the Branch, and He will branch out from His place and build the temple of the LORD. . . .
