They delight the king with their evil, the princes with their lies.
Do not gloat over me, my enemy! Though I have fallen, I will arise; though I sit in darkness, the LORD will be my light.
Luke 19:41, 42
As Jesus approached Jerusalem and saw the city, He wept over it . . .
They were delighted and agreed to give him money.
Although they know God's righteous decree that those who do such things are worthy of death, they not only continue to do these things, but also approve of those who practice them.
For as I have often told you before, and now declare even with tears: Many live as enemies of the cross of Christ.
