Consecration of the Priests
(Leviticus 8:1–13)

1  וְזֶ֨ה (And this is) הַדָּבָ֜ר (the thing) אֲשֶֽׁר־ (that) תַּעֲשֶׂ֥ה (you shall do) לָהֶ֛ם (to them) לְקַדֵּ֥שׁ (to sanctify) אֹתָ֖ם (them) לְכַהֵ֣ן (to minister as priests) לִ֑י (to Me): לְ֠קַח (Take) פַּ֣ר (bull) אֶחָ֧ד (one) בֶּן־ (a son) בָּקָ֛ר (of the herd) וְאֵילִ֥ם (and rams) שְׁנַ֖יִם (two) תְּמִימִֽם׃ (unblemished), 2  וְלֶ֣חֶם (and bread) מַצּ֗וֹת (unleavened), וְחַלֹּ֤ת (and cakes) מַצֹּת֙ (unleavened) בְּלוּלֹ֣ת (mixed) בַּשֶּׁ֔מֶן (with the oil), וּרְקִיקֵ֥י (and wafers) מַצּ֖וֹת (unleavened), מְשֻׁחִ֣ים (anointed) בַּשָּׁ֑מֶן (with the oil); סֹ֥לֶת (fine flour) חִטִּ֖ים (of wheat) תַּעֲשֶׂ֥ה (you shall make) אֹתָֽם׃ (them of). 3  וְנָתַתָּ֤ (And you shall put) אוֹתָם֙ (them) עַל־ (in) סַ֣ל (basket) אֶחָ֔ד (one), וְהִקְרַבְתָּ֥ (and bring near) אֹתָ֖ם (them) בַּסָּ֑ל (in the basket) וְאֶ֨ת־ (and with) הַפָּ֔ר (the bull) וְאֵ֖ת (and) שְׁנֵ֥י (two) הָאֵילִֽם׃ (the rams).

4  וְאֶת־ (And) אַהֲרֹ֤ן (Aaron) וְאֶת־ (and) בָּנָיו֙ (his sons) תַּקְרִ֔יב (you shall bring near) אֶל־ (to) פֶּ֖תַח (the door) אֹ֣הֶל (of the Tent) מוֹעֵ֑ד (of Meeting), וְרָחַצְתָּ֥ (and you shall wash) אֹתָ֖ם (them) בַּמָּֽיִם׃ (with the water). 5  וְלָקַחְתָּ֣ (And you shall take) אֶת־ (-) הַבְּגָדִ֗ים (the garments), וְהִלְבַּשְׁתָּ֤ (and you shall clothe) אֶֽת־ (-) אַהֲרֹן֙ (Aaron) אֶת־ (-) הַכֻּתֹּ֔נֶת (the tunic), וְאֵת֙ (and) מְעִ֣יל (the robe) הָאֵפֹ֔ד (of the ephod), וְאֶת־ (and) הָאֵפֹ֖ד (the ephod), וְאֶת־ (and) הַחֹ֑שֶׁן (the breastplate), וְאָפַדְתָּ֣ (and you shall gird) ל֔וֹ (him) בְּחֵ֖שֶׁב (with the skillfully woven waistband) הָאֵפֹֽד׃ (of the ephod). 6  וְשַׂמְתָּ֥ (And you shall put) הַמִּצְנֶ֖פֶת (the turban) עַל־ (on) רֹאשׁ֑וֹ (his head), וְנָתַתָּ֛ (and put) אֶת־ (-) נֵ֥זֶר (diadem) הַקֹּ֖דֶשׁ (the holy) עַל־ (on) הַמִּצְנָֽפֶת׃ (the turban). 7  וְלָֽקַחְתָּ֙ (And you shall take) אֶת־ (-) שֶׁ֣מֶן (oil) הַמִּשְׁחָ֔ה (the anointing), וְיָצַקְתָּ֖ (and pour it) עַל־ (on) רֹאשׁ֑וֹ (his head), וּמָשַׁחְתָּ֖ (and anoint) אֹתֽוֹ׃ (him)

8  וְאֶת־ (and) בָּנָ֖יו (his sons). תַּקְרִ֑יב (You shall bring near) וְהִלְבַּשְׁתָּ֖ם (and put on them) כֻּתֳּנֹֽת׃ (tunics). 9  וְחָגַרְתָּ֩ (And you shall gird) אֹתָ֨ם (them) אַבְנֵ֜ט (with sashes), אַהֲרֹ֣ן (Aaron) וּבָנָ֗יו (and his sons), וְחָבַשְׁתָּ֤ (and tie) לָהֶם֙ (on them) מִגְבָּעֹ֔ת (the headbands); וְהָיְתָ֥ה (and shall be) לָהֶ֛ם (theirs) כְּהֻנָּ֖ה (the priesthood) לְחֻקַּ֣ת (for a statute) עוֹלָ֑ם (everlasting). וּמִלֵּאתָ֥ (And you shall fill) יַֽד־ (the hand) אַהֲרֹ֖ן (of Aaron) וְיַד־ (and the hand) בָּנָֽיו׃ (of his sons).

The Order of the Sacrifices
(Leviticus 8:22–36)

10  וְהִקְרַבְתָּ֙ (And you shall bring near) אֶת־ (-) הַפָּ֔ר (the bull) לִפְנֵ֖י (before the face of) אֹ֣הֶל (the Tent) מוֹעֵ֑ד (of Meeting), וְסָמַ֨ךְ (and shall lay) אַהֲרֹ֧ן (Aaron) וּבָנָ֛יו (and his sons) אֶת־ (-) יְדֵיהֶ֖ם (their hands) עַל־ (on) רֹ֥אשׁ (the head) הַפָּֽר׃ (of the bull). 11  וְשָׁחַטְתָּ֥ (And you shall slaughter) אֶת־ (-) הַפָּ֖ר (the bull) לִפְנֵ֣י (before the face of) יְהוָ֑ה (YHWH), פֶּ֖תַח (by the door) אֹ֥הֶל (of the Tent) מוֹעֵֽד׃ (of Meeting). 12  וְלָֽקַחְתָּ֙ (And you shall take) מִדַּ֣ם (from the blood) הַפָּ֔ר (of the bull) וְנָתַתָּ֛ה (and put it) עַל־ (on) קַרְנֹ֥ת (the horns) הַמִּזְבֵּ֖חַ (of the altar) בְּאֶצְבָּעֶ֑ךָ (with your finger), וְאֶת־ (and) כָּל־ (all) הַדָּ֣ם (the blood) תִּשְׁפֹּ֔ךְ (you shall pour out) אֶל־ (at) יְס֖וֹד (the base) הַמִּזְבֵּֽחַ׃ (of the altar). 13  וְלָֽקַחְתָּ֗ (And you shall take) אֶֽת־ (-) כָּל־ (all) הַחֵלֶב֮ (the fat) הַֽמְכַסֶּ֣ה (that is covering) אֶת־ (-) הַקֶּרֶב֒ (the entrails), וְאֵ֗ת (and) הַיֹּתֶ֙רֶת֙ (the lobe) עַל־ (of) הַכָּבֵ֔ד (the liver), וְאֵת֙ (and) שְׁתֵּ֣י (the two) הַכְּלָיֹ֔ת (kidneys), וְאֶת־ (and) הַחֵ֖לֶב (the fat) אֲשֶׁ֣ר (that is) עֲלֵיהֶ֑ן (on them), וְהִקְטַרְתָּ֖ (and you shall burn them) הַמִּזְבֵּֽחָה׃ (on the altar). 14  וְאֶת־ (And) בְּשַׂ֤ר (the flesh) הַפָּר֙ (of the bull), וְאֶת־ (and) עֹר֣וֹ (its skin), וְאֶת־ (and) פִּרְשׁ֔וֹ (its dung), תִּשְׂרֹ֣ף (you shall burn) בָּאֵ֔שׁ (with the fire) מִח֖וּץ (outside) לַֽמַּחֲנֶ֑ה (of the camp); חַטָּ֖את (a sin offering) הֽוּא׃ (it is).

15  וְאֶת־ (And) הָאַ֥יִל (the ram) הָאֶחָ֖ד (the one) תִּקָּ֑ח (you shall take), וְסָ֨מְכ֜וּ (and shall lay) אַהֲרֹ֧ן (Aaron) וּבָנָ֛יו (and his sons) אֶת־ (-) יְדֵיהֶ֖ם (their hands) עַל־ (on) רֹ֥אשׁ (the head) הָאָֽיִל׃ (of the ram). 16  וְשָׁחַטְתָּ֖ (And you shall slaughter) אֶת־ (-) הָאָ֑יִל (the ram), וְלָֽקַחְתָּ֙ (and you shall take) אֶת־ (-) דָּמ֔וֹ (its blood), וְזָרַקְתָּ֥ (and sprinkle it) עַל־ (on) הַמִּזְבֵּ֖חַ (the altar) סָבִֽיב׃ (all around). 17  וְאֶ֨ת־ (And) הָאַ֔יִל (the ram) תְּנַתֵּ֖חַ (you shall cut) לִנְתָחָ֑יו (into its pieces) וְרָחַצְתָּ֤ (and you shall wash) קִרְבּוֹ֙ (its entrails) וּכְרָעָ֔יו (and its legs), וְנָתַתָּ֥ (and you shall put them) עַל־ (on) נְתָחָ֖יו (its pieces) וְעַל־ (and on) רֹאשֽׁוֹ׃ (its head). 18  וְהִקְטַרְתָּ֤ (And you shall burn) אֶת־ (-) כָּל־ (all) הָאַ֙יִל֙ (the ram) הַמִּזְבֵּ֔חָה (on the altar). עֹלָ֥ה (A burnt offering) ה֖וּא (it is) לַֽיהוָ֑ה (to YHWH), רֵ֣יחַ (an aroma) נִיח֔וֹחַ (pleasing), אִשֶּׁ֥ה (a fire offering) לַיהוָ֖ה (to YHWH) הֽוּא׃ (it is).

19  וְלָ֣קַחְתָּ֔ (And you shall take) אֵ֖ת (-) הָאַ֣יִל (the ram) הַשֵּׁנִ֑י (the second), וְסָמַ֨ךְ (and shall lay) אַהֲרֹ֧ן (Aaron) וּבָנָ֛יו (and his sons) אֶת־ (-) יְדֵיהֶ֖ם (their hands) עַל־ (on) רֹ֥אשׁ (the head) הָאָֽיִל׃ (of the ram). 20  וְשָׁחַטְתָּ֣ (And you shall slaughter) אֶת־ (-) הָאַ֗יִל (the ram), וְלָקַחְתָּ֤ (and you shall take) מִדָּמוֹ֙ (from its blood), וְנָֽתַתָּ֡ה (and put it) עַל־ (on) תְּנוּךְ֩ (the tip) אֹ֨זֶן (of the right ear) אַהֲרֹ֜ן (of Aaron), וְעַל־ (and on) תְּנ֨וּךְ (the tip) אֹ֤זֶן (of ear) בָּנָיו֙ (of his sons) הַיְמָנִ֔ית (the right), וְעַל־ (and on) בֹּ֤הֶן (the thumb) יָדָם֙ (of their hands) הַיְמָנִ֔ית (the right), וְעַל־ (and on) בֹּ֥הֶן (big toe) רַגְלָ֖ם (of their foot) הַיְמָנִ֑ית (the right), וְזָרַקְתָּ֧ (and sprinkle) אֶת־ (-) הַדָּ֛ם (the blood) עַל־ (on) הַמִּזְבֵּ֖חַ (the altar) סָבִֽיב׃ (all around). 21  וְלָקַחְתָּ֞ (And you shall take) מִן־ (from) הַדָּ֨ם (the blood) אֲשֶׁ֥ר (that is) עַֽל־ (on) הַמִּזְבֵּחַ֮ (the altar), וּמִשֶּׁ֣מֶן (and from oil) הַמִּשְׁחָה֒ (of the anointing), וְהִזֵּיתָ֤ (and sprinkle them) עַֽל־ (on) אַהֲרֹן֙ (Aaron), וְעַל־ (and on) בְּגָדָ֔יו (his garments), וְעַל־ (and on) בָּנָ֛יו (his sons), וְעַל־ (and on) בִּגְדֵ֥י (the garments) בָנָ֖יו (of his sons) אִתּ֑וֹ (with him); וְקָדַ֥שׁ (and shall be consecrated) הוּא֙ (he) וּבְגָדָ֔יו (and his garments), וּבָנָ֛יו (and his sons), וּבִגְדֵ֥י (and the garments) בָנָ֖יו (of his sons) אִתּֽוֹ׃ (with him.).

22  וְלָקַחְתָּ֣ (And you shall take) מִן־ (from) הָ֠אַיִל (the ram) הַחֵ֨לֶב (the fat) וְהָֽאַלְיָ֜ה (and the fat tail), וְאֶת־ (and) הַחֵ֣לֶב׀ (the fat) הַֽמְכַסֶּ֣ה (that is covering) אֶת־ (-) הַקֶּ֗רֶב (the entrails), וְאֵ֨ת (and) יֹתֶ֤רֶת (the lobe) הַכָּבֵד֙ (of the liver), וְאֵ֣ת׀ (and) שְׁתֵּ֣י (two) הַכְּלָיֹ֗ת (the kidneys), וְאֶת־ (and) הַחֵ֙לֶב֙ (the fat) אֲשֶׁ֣ר (that is) עֲלֵהֶ֔ן (on them), וְאֵ֖ת (and) שׁ֣וֹק (thigh) הַיָּמִ֑ין (the right) כִּ֛י (for) אֵ֥יל (a ram) מִלֻּאִ֖ים (of ordination) הֽוּא׃ (it is)), 23  וְכִכַּ֨ר (and loaf) לֶ֜חֶם (of bread) אַחַ֗ת (one), וַֽחַלַּ֨ת (and cake) לֶ֥חֶם (of bread) שֶׁ֛מֶן (oiled) אַחַ֖ת (one), וְרָקִ֣יק (and wafer) אֶחָ֑ד (one) מִסַּל֙ (from the basket) הַמַּצּ֔וֹת (of the unleavened bread) אֲשֶׁ֖ר (that is) לִפְנֵ֥י (before the face of) יְהוָֽה׃ (YHWH); 24  וְשַׂמְתָּ֣ (and you shall put) הַכֹּ֔ל (all these) עַ֚ל (on) כַּפֵּ֣י (the palms) אַהֲרֹ֔ן (of Aaron), וְעַ֖ל (and on) כַּפֵּ֣י (the palms) בָנָ֑יו (of his sons); וְהֵנַפְתָּ֥ (and you shall wave) אֹתָ֛ם (them) תְּנוּפָ֖ה (as a wave offering) לִפְנֵ֥י (before the face of) יְהוָֽה׃ (YHWH). 25  וְלָקַחְתָּ֤ (And you shall take) אֹתָם֙ (them) מִיָּדָ֔ם (from their hands), וְהִקְטַרְתָּ֥ (and burn them) הַמִּזְבֵּ֖חָה (on the altar) עַל־ (upon) הָעֹלָ֑ה (the burnt offering) לְרֵ֤יחַ (an aroma) נִיח֙וֹחַ֙ (pleasing) לִפְנֵ֣י (before the face of) יְהוָ֔ה (YHWH); אִשֶּׁ֥ה (a fire offering) ה֖וּא (it is) לַיהוָֽה׃ (to YHWH).

26  וְלָקַחְתָּ֣ (And you shall take) אֶת־ (-) הֶֽחָזֶ֗ה (the breast) מֵאֵ֤יל (from the ram) הַמִּלֻּאִים֙ (of the ordination) אֲשֶׁ֣ר (that is) לְאַהֲרֹ֔ן (for Aaron) וְהֵנַפְתָּ֥ (and wave) אֹת֛וֹ (it) תְּנוּפָ֖ה (a wave offering) לִפְנֵ֣י (before the face of) יְהוָ֑ה (YHWH); וְהָיָ֥ה (and it shall be) לְךָ֖ (for you) לְמָנָֽה׃ (your portion). 27  וְקִדַּשְׁתָּ֞ (And you shall sanctify) אֵ֣ת׀ (-) חֲזֵ֣ה (the breast) הַתְּנוּפָ֗ה (of the wave offering), וְאֵת֙ (and) שׁ֣וֹק (the thigh) הַתְּרוּמָ֔ה (of the contribution), אֲשֶׁ֥ר (which) הוּנַ֖ף (is waved) וַאֲשֶׁ֣ר (and which) הוּרָ֑ם (is raised), מֵאֵיל֙ (from the ram) הַמִּלֻּאִ֔ים (of the ordination), מֵאֲשֶׁ֥ר (from that which is) לְאַהֲרֹ֖ן (for Aaron) וּמֵאֲשֶׁ֥ר (and from that which is) לְבָנָֽיו׃ (for his sons). 28  וְהָיָה֩ (And it shall be) לְאַהֲרֹ֨ן (for Aaron) וּלְבָנָ֜יו (and for his sons) לְחָק־ (for a statute) עוֹלָ֗ם (forever) מֵאֵת֙ (from) בְּנֵ֣י (the sons) יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל (of Israel), כִּ֥י (for) תְרוּמָ֖ה (a contribution) ה֑וּא (it is), וּתְרוּמָ֞ה (and a contribution) יִהְיֶ֨ה (it shall be) מֵאֵ֤ת (from) בְּנֵֽי־ (the sons) יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ (of Israel) מִזִּבְחֵ֣י (from the sacrifices) שַׁלְמֵיהֶ֔ם (of their peace offerings), תְּרוּמָתָ֖ם (their contributions) לַיהוָֽה׃ (to YHWH).

29  וּבִגְדֵ֤י (And garments) הַקֹּ֙דֶשׁ֙ (the holy) אֲשֶׁ֣ר (that are) לְאַהֲרֹ֔ן (for Aaron) יִהְי֥וּ (shall be) לְבָנָ֖יו (for his sons) אַחֲרָ֑יו (after him), לְמָשְׁחָ֣ה (to be anointed) בָהֶ֔ם (in them) וּלְמַלֵּא־ (and to fill) בָ֖ם (in them) אֶת־ (-) יָדָֽם׃ (their hand). 30  שִׁבְעַ֣ת (Seven) יָמִ֗ים (days) יִלְבָּשָׁ֧ם (shall put them on) הַכֹּהֵ֛ן (the priest) תַּחְתָּ֖יו (in his place), מִבָּנָ֑יו (from among his sons), אֲשֶׁ֥ר (when) יָבֹ֛א (he enters) אֶל־ (into) אֹ֥הֶל (the Tent) מוֹעֵ֖ד (of Meeting) לְשָׁרֵ֥ת (to minister) בַּקֹּֽדֶשׁ׃ (in the Holy Place).

Food for the Priests

31  וְאֵ֛ת (And) אֵ֥יל (the ram) הַמִּלֻּאִ֖ים (of the ordination) תִּקָּ֑ח (you shall take) וּבִשַּׁלְתָּ֥ (and boil) אֶת־ (-) בְּשָׂר֖וֹ (its flesh) בְּמָקֹ֥ם (in a place) קָדֹֽשׁ׃ (holy). 32  וְאָכַ֨ל (And shall eat) אַהֲרֹ֤ן (Aaron) וּבָנָיו֙ (and his sons) אֶת־ (-) בְּשַׂ֣ר (the flesh) הָאַ֔יִל (of the ram), וְאֶת־ (and) הַלֶּ֖חֶם (the bread) אֲשֶׁ֣ר (that is) בַּסָּ֑ל (in the basket), פֶּ֖תַח (at the door) אֹ֥הֶל (of the Tent) מוֹעֵֽד׃ (of Meeting). 33  וְאָכְל֤וּ (And they shall eat) אֹתָם֙ (them) אֲשֶׁ֣ר (that which) כֻּפַּ֣ר (atonement was made), בָּהֶ֔ם (by them) לְמַלֵּ֥א (to fill) אֶת־ (-) יָדָ֖ם (their hand), לְקַדֵּ֣שׁ (to sanctify) אֹתָ֑ם (them). וְזָ֥ר (And an outsider) לֹא־ (not) יֹאכַ֖ל (shall eat them), כִּי־ (because) קֹ֥דֶשׁ (holy) הֵֽם׃ (they are). 34  וְֽאִם־ (And if) יִוָּתֵ֞ר (remains) מִבְּשַׂ֧ר (from the flesh) הַמִּלֻּאִ֛ים (of the ordination) וּמִן־ (or from) הַלֶּ֖חֶם (the bread) עַד־ (until) הַבֹּ֑קֶר (the morning), וְשָׂרַפְתָּ֤ (and you shall burn) אֶת־ (-) הַנּוֹתָר֙ (the remainder) בָּאֵ֔שׁ (with the fire); לֹ֥א (not) יֵאָכֵ֖ל (it shall be eaten), כִּי־ (because) קֹ֥דֶשׁ (holy) הֽוּא׃ (it is).

35  וְעָשִׂ֜יתָ (And you shall do) לְאַהֲרֹ֤ן (to Aaron) וּלְבָנָיו֙ (and to his sons), כָּ֔כָה (thus) כְּכֹ֥ל (according to all) אֲשֶׁר־ (that) צִוִּ֖יתִי (I have commanded) אֹתָ֑כָה (you); שִׁבְעַ֥ת (seven) יָמִ֖ים (days) תְּמַלֵּ֥א (you shall fill) יָדָֽם׃ (their hand). 36  וּפַ֨ר (And a bull) חַטָּ֜את (as a sin offering) תַּעֲשֶׂ֤ה (you shall offer) לַיּוֹם֙ (day by day) עַל־ (for) הַכִּפֻּרִ֔ים (the atonements), וְחִטֵּאתָ֙ (and you shall cleanse from sin) עַל־ (upon) הַמִּזְבֵּ֔חַ (the altar) בְּכַפֶּרְךָ֖ (in your making atonement) עָלָ֑יו (upon it), וּמָֽשַׁחְתָּ֥ (and you shall anoint) אֹת֖וֹ (it) לְקַדְּשֽׁוֹ׃ (to sanctify it). 37  שִׁבְעַ֣ת (Seven) יָמִ֗ים (days) תְּכַפֵּר֙ (you shall make atonement) עַל־ (upon) הַמִּזְבֵּ֔חַ (the altar) וְקִדַּשְׁתָּ֖ (and sanctify) אֹת֑וֹ (it), וְהָיָ֤ה (and shall be) הַמִּזְבֵּ֙חַ֙ (the altar) קֹ֣דֶשׁ (holy) קָֽדָשִׁ֔ים (of holies); כָּל־ (anything) הַנֹּגֵ֥עַ (that touches) בַּמִּזְבֵּ֖חַ (the altar) יִקְדָּֽשׁ׃ס (shall be holy).

38  וְזֶ֕ה (And this is) אֲשֶׁ֥ר (what) תַּעֲשֶׂ֖ה (you shall offer) עַל־ (on) הַמִּזְבֵּ֑חַ (the altar): כְּבָשִׂ֧ים (Lambs) בְּנֵֽי־ (sons) שָׁנָ֛ה (of a year) שְׁנַ֥יִם (two) לַיּ֖וֹם (day by day) תָּמִֽיד׃ (continually). 39  אֶת־ (-) הַכֶּ֥בֶשׂ (the Lamb) הָאֶחָ֖ד (one) תַּעֲשֶׂ֣ה (you shall offer) בַבֹּ֑קֶר (in the morning), וְאֵת֙ (and) הַכֶּ֣בֶשׂ (the lamb) הַשֵּׁנִ֔י (second) תַּעֲשֶׂ֖ה (you shall offer) בֵּ֥ין (between) הָעַרְבָּֽיִם׃ (the evenings). 40  וְעִשָּׂרֹ֨ן (And shall be a tenth of an ephah) סֹ֜לֶת (of flour) בָּל֨וּל (mixed) בְּשֶׁ֤מֶן (with oil) כָּתִית֙ (pressed) רֶ֣בַע (a fourth) הַהִ֔ין (of a hin), וְנֵ֕סֶךְ (and as a drink offering) רְבִעִ֥ית (a fourth) הַהִ֖ין (of a hin) יָ֑יִן (of wine), לַכֶּ֖בֶשׂ (for the lamb) הָאֶחָֽד׃ (the one). 41  וְאֵת֙ (And) הַכֶּ֣בֶשׂ (the lamb) הַשֵּׁנִ֔י (the second) תַּעֲשֶׂ֖ה (you shall offer) בֵּ֣ין (between) הָעַרְבָּ֑יִם (the evenings), כְּמִנְחַ֨ת (according to the grain offering) הַבֹּ֤קֶר (the morning), וּכְנִסְכָּהּ֙ (and according to its drink offering) תַּֽעֲשֶׂה־ (and you shall offer) לָּ֔הּ (with it) לְרֵ֣יחַ (for an aroma) נִיחֹ֔חַ (pleasing), אִשֶּׁ֖ה (a fire offering) לַיהוָֽה׃ (to YHWH).

42  עֹלַ֤ת (A burnt offering) תָּמִיד֙ (continual) לְדֹרֹ֣תֵיכֶ֔ם (throughout your⁺ generations) פֶּ֥תַח (at the door) אֹֽהֶל־ (of the Tent) מוֹעֵ֖ד (of Meeting) לִפְנֵ֣י (before the face) יְהוָ֑ה (of YHWH), אֲשֶׁ֨ר (where) אִוָּעֵ֤ד (I will meet) לָכֶם֙ (you⁺) שָׁ֔מָּה (there) לְדַבֵּ֥ר (to speak) אֵלֶ֖יךָ (to you) שָֽׁם׃ (there). 43  וְנֹעַדְתִּ֥י (And I will meet) שָׁ֖מָּה (there) לִבְנֵ֣י (with the sons) יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל (of Israel), וְנִקְדַּ֖שׁ (and it shall be sanctified) בִּכְבֹדִֽי׃ (by My glory). 44  וְקִדַּשְׁתִּ֛י (And I will sanctify) אֶת־ (-) אֹ֥הֶל (the Tent) מוֹעֵ֖ד (of Meeting), וְאֶת־ (and) הַמִּזְבֵּ֑חַ (the altar), וְאֶת־ (and) אַהֲרֹ֧ן (Aaron) וְאֶת־ (and) בָּנָ֛יו (his sons) אֲקַדֵּ֖שׁ (I will sanctify) לְכַהֵ֥ן (to minister as priests) לִֽי׃ (to Me).

God Will Dwell among the People

45  וְשָׁ֣כַנְתִּ֔י (And I will dwell) בְּת֖וֹךְ (in the midst) בְּנֵ֣י (of the sons) יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל (of Israel), וְהָיִ֥יתִי (and will be) לָהֶ֖ם (their) לֵאלֹהִֽים׃ (God). 46  וְיָדְע֗וּ (And they shall know) כִּ֣י (that) אֲנִ֤י (I am) יְהוָה֙ (YHWH) אֱלֹ֣הֵיהֶ֔ם (their God), אֲשֶׁ֨ר (who) הוֹצֵ֧אתִי (brought out) אֹתָ֛ם (them) מֵאֶ֥רֶץ (from the land) מִצְרַ֖יִם (of Egypt), לְשָׁכְנִ֣י (to dwell) בְתוֹכָ֑ם (in their midst).

אֲנִ֖י (I am) יְהוָ֥ה (YHWH) אֱלֹהֵיהֶֽם׃פ (their God).
