1 And the Feast of the Unleavened, called the Passover, was drawing near. 2 And the chief priests and the scribes were seeking how they might put Him to death, for they were afraid of the people. 3 And Satan entered into Judas, the one being called Iscariot, being of the number of the Twelve. 4 And having gone away, he discussed with the chief priests and captains how he might betray Him to them. 5 And they rejoiced and agreed to give him money. 6 And he promised, and began seeking opportunity to betray Him to them apart from a crowd. 7 And the day of the Unleavened came, on which it was necessary for the Passover to be sacrificed. 8 And He sent Peter and John, having said, “Having gone, prepare the Passover for us, that we may eat.” 9 And they said to Him, “Where do You want that we should prepare?” 10 And He said to them, “Behold, of you? having entered into the city, a man carrying a pitcher of water will meet you?. Follow him into the house into which he enters, 11 and you? will say to the master of the house, ‘The Teacher says to you, “Where is the guest room, where I may eat the Passover with My disciples?”’ 12 And he will show you? a large furnished upper room. Make preparations there.” 13 And having gone, they found it as He had said to them, and they prepared the Passover. 14 And when the hour was come, He reclined, and the apostles with Him. 15 And He said to them, “With desire I desired to eat this Passover with you? before I suffer. 16 For I say to you? that no longer will I eat thereof until it is fulfilled in the kingdom of God.” 17 And having received a cup, having given thanks, He said, “Take this and divide it among yourselves. 18 For I say to you? that I will not drink of the fruit of the vine from now until the kingdom of God shall come.” 19 And having taken the bread, having given thanks, He broke it and gave to them, saying, “This is My body, which is given for you?; do this in remembrance of Me,” 20 and the cup likewise, after the supping, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood, which is being poured out for you?. 21 But, behold, the hand of him betraying Me is with Me on the table. 22 For indeed, the Son of Man goes according to that having been determined. But woe to that man by whom He is betrayed.” 23 And they began to question among themselves who then it might be of them who is about to do this. 24 And there was also a dispute among them as to which of them is thought to be the greatest. 25 And He said to them, “The kings of the Gentiles rule over them, and those exercising authority over them are called benefactors. 26 But you? shall not be thus. Rather, the greatest among you?, let him be as the younger, and the one leading as the one serving. 27 For who is greater, the one reclining or the one serving? Is it not the one reclining? But I am in your? midst as the One serving. 28 Now you? are those having remained with Me in My trials. 29 And I appoint to you? a kingdom, as My Father appointed to Me, 30 so that you? may eat and may drink at My table in My kingdom, and may sit on thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel. 31 Simon, Simon, behold, Satan asked for all of you? to sift like wheat. 32 But I begged for you, that your faith may not fail. And you, when you have turned back, strengthen your brothers.” 33 And he said to Him, “Lord, I am ready to go with You both to prison and to death.” 34 But He said, “I tell you, Peter, the rooster will not crow today until you shall deny three times knowing Me.” Luke 22:1-34, Berean Literal Bible.
