1 He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty. He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty. He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. One who dwells in the shelter of the Most High Will lodge in the shadow of the Almighty. Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
2 I will say to the LORD, “You are my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.” I will say to the LORD, “My refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.” I will say of the LORD, <i>He is</i> my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust. I will say to the LORD, “My refuge and my fortress, My God, in whom I trust!” I will say of the LORD, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.”
3 Surely He will deliver you from the snare of the fowler, and from the deadly plague. For he will deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the deadly pestilence. Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, <i>and</i> from the noisome pestilence. For it is He who rescues you from the net of the trapper And from the deadly plague. Surely he will save you from the fowler’s snare and from the deadly pestilence.
4 He will cover you with His feathers; under His wings you will find refuge; His faithfulness is a shield and rampart. He will cover you with his pinions, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness is a shield and buckler. He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth <i>shall be thy</i> shield and buckler. He will cover you with His pinions, And under His wings you may take refuge; His faithfulness is a shield and wall. He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.
5 You will not fear the terror of the night, nor the arrow that flies by day, You will not fear the terror of the night, nor the arrow that flies by day, Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; <i>nor</i> for the arrow <i>that</i> flieth by day; You will not be afraid of the terror by night, Or of the arrow that flies by day; You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day,
6 nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the calamity that destroys at noon. nor the pestilence that stalks in darkness, nor the destruction that wastes at noonday. <i>Nor</i> for the pestilence <i>that</i> walketh in darkness; <i>nor</i> for the destruction <i>that</i> wasteth at noonday. Of the plague that stalks in darkness, Or of the destruction that devastates at noon. nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday.
7 Though a thousand may fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand, no harm will come near you. A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you. A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; <i>but</i> it shall not come nigh thee. A thousand may fall at your side And ten thousand at your right hand, <i>But</i> it shall not approach you. 8 You will only see it with your eyes and witness the punishment of the wicked. You will only look with your eyes and see the recompense of the wicked. Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked. You will only look on with your eyes And see the retaliation <i>against</i> the wicked. You will only observe with your eyes and see the punishment of the wicked.
9 Because you have made the LORD your dwelling— my refuge, the Most High— Because you have made the LORD your dwelling place— the Most High, who is my refuge— Because thou hast made the LORD, <i>which is</i> my refuge, <i>even</i> the most High, thy habitation; For you have made the LORD, my refuge, The Most High, your dwelling place. If you say, “The LORD is my refuge,” and you make the Most High your dwelling,
10 no evil will befall you, no plague will approach your tent. no evil shall be allowed to befall you, no plague come near your tent. There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling. No evil will happen to you, Nor will any plague come near your tent. no harm will overtake you, no disaster will come near your tent.
11 For He will command His angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways. For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways. 14 “Because he loves Me, I will deliver him; because he knows My name, I will protect him. “Because he holds fast to me in love, I will deliver him; I will protect him, because he knows my name. Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name. “Because he has loved Me, I will save him; I will set him <i>securely</i> on high, because he has known My name. “Because he loves me,” says the LORD, “I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.
15 When he calls out to Me, I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble. I will deliver him and honor him.
