1 Give thanks to YHWH, || For [He is] good, for His kindness [is] for all time. Oh give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; for his steadfast love endures forever! Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever.
2 Now let Israel say, || His kindness [is] for all time. Let Israel say, “His steadfast love endures forever.” Let Israel say: “His love endures forever.”
3 Now let the house of Aaron say, || His kindness [is] for all time. Let the house of Aaron say, “His steadfast love endures forever.” Let the house of Aaron say: “His love endures forever.”
4 Now let those fearing YHWH say, || His kindness [is] for all time. Let those who fear the LORD say, “His steadfast love endures forever.” Let those who fear the LORD say: “His love endures forever.”
5 I called YAH from the narrow place, || YAH answered me in a broad place. Out of my distress I called on the LORD; the LORD answered me and set me free. When hard pressed, I cried to the LORD; he brought me into a spacious place.
6 YHWH [is] for me, || I do not fear what man does to me. The LORD is on my side; I will not fear. What can man do to me? The LORD is with me; I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?
7 YHWH [is] for me among my helpers, || And I look on those hating me. The LORD is on my side as my helper; I shall look in triumph on those who hate me. The LORD is with me; he is my helper. I look in triumph on my enemies.
8 Better to take refuge in YHWH, || Than to trust in man, It is better to take refuge in the LORD than to trust in man. It is better to take refuge in the LORD than to trust in humans.
9 Better to take refuge in YHWH, || Than to trust in princes. It is better to take refuge in the LORD than to trust in princes. It is better to take refuge in the LORD than to trust in princes.
10 All nations have surrounded me, || In the Name of YHWH I surely cut them off. All nations surrounded me; in the name of the LORD I cut them off! All the nations surrounded me, but in the name of the LORD I cut them down.
11 They have surrounded me, || Indeed, they have surrounded me, || In the Name of YHWH I surely cut them off. They surrounded me, surrounded me on every side; in the name of the LORD I cut them off! They surrounded me on every side, but in the name of the LORD I cut them down.
12 They surrounded me as bees, || They have been extinguished as a fire of thorns, || In the Name of YHWH I surely cut them off. They surrounded me like bees; they went out like a fire among thorns; in the name of the LORD I cut them off! They swarmed around me like bees, but they were consumed as quickly as burning thorns; in the name of the LORD I cut them down.
13 You have severely thrust me to fall, || And YHWH has helped me. I was pushed hard, so that I was falling, but the LORD helped me. I was pushed back and about to fall, but the LORD helped me.
14 YAH is my strength and song, || And He is to me for salvation. The LORD is my strength and my song; he has become my salvation. The LORD is my strength and my defense; he has become my salvation.
15 A voice of singing and salvation, || [Is] in the tents of the righteous, || The right hand of YHWH is doing valiantly. Glad songs of salvation are in the tents of the righteous: “The right hand of the LORD does valiantly, Shouts of joy and victory resound in the tents of the righteous: “The LORD’s right hand has done mighty things!
16 The right hand of YHWH is exalted, || The right hand of YHWH is doing valiantly. the right hand of the LORD exalts, the right hand of the LORD does valiantly!” The LORD’s right hand is lifted high; the LORD’s right hand has done mighty things!”
17 I do not die, but live, || And recount the works of YAH, I shall not die, but I shall live, and recount the deeds of the LORD. I will not die but live, and will proclaim what the LORD has done.
18 YAH has severely disciplined me, || And has not given me up to death. The LORD has disciplined me severely, but he has not given me over to death. The LORD has chastened me severely, but he has not given me over to death.
19 Open gates of righteousness to me, || I enter into them—I thank YAH. Open to me the gates of righteousness, that I may enter through them and give thanks to the LORD. Open for me the gates of the righteous; I will enter and give thanks to the LORD.
20 This [is] the gate to YHWH, || The righteous enter into it. This is the gate of the LORD; the righteous shall enter through it. This is the gate of the LORD through which the righteous may enter.
21 I thank You, for You have answered me, || And are to me for salvation. I thank you that you have answered me and have become my salvation. I will give you thanks, for you answered me; you have become my salvation.
22 A stone the builders refused || Has become head of a corner. The stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone. The stone the builders rejected has become the cornerstone;
23 This has been from YHWH, || It [is] wonderful in our eyes, This is the LORD’s doing; it is marvelous in our eyes. the LORD has done this, and it is marvelous in our eyes.
24 This [is] the day YHWH has made, || We rejoice and are glad in it. This is the day that the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it. The LORD has done it this very day; let us rejoice today and be glad.
25 Ah, now, O YHWH, please save, || Ah, now, O YHWH, please prosper. Save us, we pray, O LORD! O LORD, we pray, give us success! LORD, save us! LORD, grant us success!
26 Blessed [is] He who is coming || In the Name of YHWH, || We blessed you from the house of YHWH, Blessed is he who comes in the name of the LORD! We bless you from the house of the LORD. Blessed is he who comes in the name of the LORD. From the house of the LORD we bless you.
27 God [is] YHWH, and He gives light to us, || Direct the festal-sacrifice with cords, || To the horns of the altar. The LORD is God, and he has made his light to shine upon us. Bind the festal sacrifice with cords, up to the horns of the altar! The LORD is God, and he has made his light shine on us. With boughs in hand, join in the festal procession up to the horns of the altar.
28 You [are] my God, and I confess You, || My God, I exalt You. You are my God, and I will give thanks to you; you are my God; I will extol you. You are my God, and I will praise you; you are my God, and I will exalt you.
29 Give thanks to YHWH, || For [He is] good, for His kindness [is] for all time! Oh give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; for his steadfast love endures forever! Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever.
