1 And He departing out from the temple, one of His disciples says to Him, Teacher, behold, how great stones and how great buildings! And as he came out of the temple, one of his disciples said to him, “Look, Teacher, what wonderful stones and what wonderful buildings!” As Jesus was leaving the temple, one of his disciples said to him, “Look, Teacher! What massive stones! What magnificent buildings!”
2 And Jesus responding said to him, Do you see these great buildings? stone may not be left upon stone, which may not be thrown down. And Jesus said to him, “Do you see these great buildings? There will not be left here one stone upon another that will not be thrown down.” “Do you see all these great buildings?” replied Jesus. “Not one stone here will be left on another; every one will be thrown down.”

7 And when you may hear of wars and rumors of wars, be not disturbed: for it behooves it to be so; but the end is not yet. And when you hear of wars and rumors of wars, do not be alarmed. 8 For nation will rise up against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be earth-quakes in divers places; and there shall be famines. But you take heed to yourselves: for they will deliver you into councils; and will beat you in the synagogues: and you shall stand before governors and kings on account of me, for a testimony unto them. “But be on your guard. For they will deliver you over to councils, and you will be beaten in synagogues, and you will stand before governors and kings for my sake, to bear witness before them. “You must be on your guard. You will be handed over to the local councils and flogged in the synagogues. On account of me you will stand before governors and kings as witnesses to them.
10 And it behooves the gospel first to be preached to all the nations. And the gospel must first be proclaimed to all nations. And the gospel must first be preached to all nations.
11 And when they may lead you forth, delivering you up, do not be solicitous what you may speak, nor meditate: but whatsoever may be given to you in that hour, speak this: for you are not those speaking, but the Holy Spirit. And when they bring you to trial and deliver you over, do not be anxious beforehand what you are to say, but say whatever is given you in that hour, for it is not you who speak, but the Holy Spirit. Whenever you are arrested and brought to trial, do not worry beforehand about what to say. Just say whatever is given you at the time, for it is not you speaking, but the Holy Spirit.
12 And brother will deliver up brother to death, and the father the child; and the children will rise up against the parents, and put them to death. And brother will deliver brother over to death, and the father his child, and children will rise against parents and have them put to death. “Brother will betray brother to death, and a father his child. Children will rebel against their parents and have them put to death.
13 And you shall be hated by all on account of my name: but the one persevering to the end, the same shall be saved. And you will be hated by all for my name’s sake. But the one who endures to the end will be saved. Everyone will hate you because of me, but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved.
14 And when you may see the abomination of desolation standing where it ought not (let him that readeth know), then let those in Judea fly to the mountains: “But when you see the abomination of desolation standing where he ought not to be (let the reader understand), then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. “When you see ‘the abomination that causes desolation’ standing where it does not belong—let the reader understand—then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.
15 and let not the one on the housetop come down, nor enter in, to take anything out of his house: Let the one who is on the housetop not go down, nor enter his house, to take anything out, Let no one on the housetop go down or enter the house to take anything out.
16 and let not the one who is in the field turn back to take his garment. and let the one who is in the field not turn back to take his cloak. Let no one in the field go back to get their cloak.
17 But alas unto those who are in gestation and nursing in those days. And alas for women who are pregnant and for those who are nursing infants in those days! How dreadful it will be in those days for pregnant women and nursing mothers!
18 But pray that your flight may not be in the winter. Pray that it may not happen in winter. Pray that this will not take place in winter,
19 For these days will be tribulation, such as has never been from the beginning of creation which God created, until now, and never may be. For in those days there will be such tribulation as has not been from the beginning of the creation that God created until now, and never will be. because those will be days of distress unequaled from the beginning, when God created the world, until now—and never to be equaled again.
20 And unless the Lord shortened those days, no flesh would be saved: but for the sake of the elect, whom He chose, He shortened the days. And if the Lord had not cut short the days, no human being would be saved. But for the sake of the elect, whom he chose, he shortened the days. “If the Lord had not cut short those days, no one would survive. But for the sake of the elect, whom he has chosen, he has shortened them.
21 And if then one may say to you, Lo, here is Christ; or, Lo, there; believe not. And then if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Christ!’ or ‘Look, there he is!’ do not believe it. At that time if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Messiah!’ or, ‘Look, there he is!’ do not believe it.
22 For false Christs and false prophets will arise, and give signs and wonders, to deceive even the elect, if possible. For false christs and false prophets will arise and perform signs and wonders, to lead astray, if possible, the elect. For false messiahs and false prophets will appear and perform signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.
23 But you see: behold, I have foretold you all things. But be on guard; I have told you all things beforehand. So be on your guard; I have told you everything ahead of time.
24 And in those days, after that desolation, the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give her light, “But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, “But in those days, following that distress, “’the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light;

30 Truly I say unto you, this race may not pass away, until all these things may be fulfilled. Truly, I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all these things take place. Truly I tell you, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened.
31 Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away. Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away. Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.
32 But concerning that day or hour no one knows, neither the angels who are in heaven, or the Son, but the Father. “But concerning that day or that hour, no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. “But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.
33 Beware, watch; for you know not when the time is. Be on guard, keep awake. For you do not know when the time will come. Be on guard! Be alert! You do not know when that time will come.
34 As a man, going away, leaving his own house, and giving authority to his servants, and to each one his work, and commanded the porter that he should watch. It is like a man going on a journey, when he leaves home and puts his servants in charge, each with his work, and commands the doorkeeper to stay awake. It’s like a man going away: He leaves his house and puts his servants in charge, each with their assigned task, and tells the one at the door to keep watch.
35 Watch therefore: for you know not when the Lord of the house cometh, late, or at midnight, or at the crowing of the cock, or in the morning; Therefore stay awake—for you do not know when the master of the house will come, in the evening, or at midnight, or when the rooster crows, or in the morning— “Therefore keep watch because you do not know when the owner of the house will come back—whether in the evening, or at midnight, or when the rooster crows, or at dawn.
36 lest having come suddenly he may find you sleeping. lest he come suddenly and find you asleep. If he comes suddenly, do not let him find you sleeping.
37 And the things I say to you, I say to all, Watch. And what I say to you I say to all: Stay awake.” What I say to you, I say to everyone: ‘Watch!’”
