1 And he said to the disciples, It is impossible there come not causes of offence: and woe, through whom they come! And he said to his disciples, “Temptations to sin are sure to come, but woe to the one through whom they come! Jesus said to his disciples: “Things that cause people to stumble are bound to come, but woe to anyone through whom they come.
2 It is profitable to him if the millstone of an ass were placed about his neck, and he cast into the sea, rather than he should offend one of these little ones. It would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck and he were cast into the sea than that he should cause one of these little ones to sin. It would be better for them to be thrown into the sea with a millstone tied around their neck than to cause one of these little ones to stumble.
3 Attend to yourselves: and if thy brother sin against thee, censure him; and if he should repent, let him go. Pay attention to yourselves! If your brother sins, rebuke him, and if he repents, forgive him, So watch yourselves. “If your brother or sister sins against you, rebuke them; and if they repent, forgive them.
4 And if seven times in a day he sin against thee, and seven times in a day turn back to thee, saying, I repent; thou shalt let him go. and if he sins against you seven times in the day, and turns to you seven times, saying, ‘I repent,’ you must forgive him.” Even if they sin against you seven times in a day and seven times come back to you saying ‘I repent,’ you must forgive them.”
5 And the sent said to the Lord, Add faith to us. The apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith!” The apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith!”
6 And the Lord said, If ye had faith as a kernel of mustard, said ye to this mulberry-tree, Be thou rooted up, and planted in the sea; and it had listened to you. And the Lord said, “If you had faith like a grain of mustard seed, you could say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted and planted in the sea,’ and it would obey you. He replied, “If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted and planted in the sea,’ and it will obey you.
7 And which of you having a servant ploughing or feeding, who will say to him having come out of the field, Quickly having come, recline? “Will any one of you who has a servant plowing or keeping sheep say to him when he has come in from the field, ‘Come at once and recline at table’? “Suppose one of you has a servant plowing or looking after the sheep. Will he say to the servant when he comes in from the field, ‘Come along now and sit down to eat’?
8 But will he not say to him, Prepare what I shall sup, and, being girded, serve me, till I eat and drink; and after these, thou mayest eat and drink? Will he not rather say to him, ‘Prepare supper for me, and dress properly, and serve me while I eat and drink, and afterward you will eat and drink’? Won’t he rather say, ‘Prepare my supper, get yourself ready and wait on me while I eat and drink; after that you may eat and drink’?
9 He has no favor to that servant, for he did the things appointed. I think not. Does he thank the servant because he did what was commanded? Will he thank the servant because he did what he was told to do?
10 So also ye, when ye do all appointed you, say, That we are useless servants: for what we ought to do, we have done. So you also, when you have done all that you were commanded, say, ‘We are unworthy servants; we have only done what was our duty.’” So you also, when you have done everything you were told to do, should say, ‘We are unworthy servants; we have only done our duty.’”
11 And it was in his going to Jerusalem, and he came through the land of Samaria and Galilee. On the way to Jerusalem he was passing along between Samaria and Galilee. Now on his way to Jerusalem, Jesus traveled along the border between Samaria and Galilee.
12 And he coming to a certain town, ten leprous men met him, who stood far off: And as he entered a village, he was met by ten lepers, who stood at a distance As he was going into a village, ten men who had leprosy met him. They stood at a distance
13 And they lifted up the voice, saying, Jesus, faster, pity us. and lifted up their voices, saying, “Jesus, Master, have mercy on us.” and called out in a loud voice, “Jesus, Master, have pity on us!”
14 And having seen, he said to them, Having gone, show yourselves to the priests. And it was in their retiring they were cleansed. When he saw them he said to them, “Go and show yourselves to the priests.” And as they went they were cleansed. When he saw them, he said, “Go, show yourselves to the priests.” And as they went, they were cleansed.
15 And one of them, having seen that he was healed, turned back, with a great voice honouring God. Then one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, praising God with a loud voice; One of them, when he saw he was healed, came back, praising God in a loud voice.
16 And he fell upon the face at his feet, thanking him: and he was a Samaritan. and he fell on his face at Jesus’ feet, giving him thanks. Now he was a Samaritan. He threw himself at Jesus’ feet and thanked him—and he was a Samaritan.
17 And Jesus having answered said, Were not ten cleansed? and where the nine? Then Jesus answered, “Were not ten cleansed? Where are the nine? Jesus asked, “Were not all ten cleansed? Where are the other nine?
18 They were not found returning to give glory to God, except this of another race. Was no one found to return and give praise to God except this foreigner?” Has no one returned to give praise to God except this foreigner?”
19 And he said to him, Having risen, go: thy faith has saved thee. And he said to him, “Rise and go your way; your faith has made you well.” Then he said to him, “Rise and go; your faith has made you well.”
20 And having been asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God comes, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God comes not with observation: Being asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, he answered them, “The kingdom of God is not coming in ways that can be observed, Once, on being asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, Jesus replied, “The coming of the kingdom of God is not something that can be observed,
21 Neither shall they say, Behold here or, behold there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you. nor will they say, ‘Look, here it is!’ or ‘There!’ for behold, the kingdom of God is in the midst of you.” nor will people say, ‘Here it is,’ or ‘There it is,’ because the kingdom of God is in your midst.”
22 And he said to the disciples, The days come when ye shall eagerly desire to see one of the days of the Son of man, and ye shall not see. And he said to the disciples, “The days are coming when you will desire to see one of the days of the Son of Man, and you will not see it. Then he said to his disciples, “The time is coming when you will long to see one of the days of the Son of Man, but you will not see it.
23 And they shall say to you, Behold here, or; behold there: go not away, nor pursue. And they will say to you, ‘Look, there!’ or ‘Look, here!’ Do not go out or follow them. People will tell you, ‘There he is!’ or ‘Here he is!’ Do not go running off after them.
24 For as lightning, flashing out from that under heaven, shines to that under heaven; so also shall be the Son of man in his day. For as the lightning flashes and lights up the sky from one side to the other, so will the Son of Man be in his day. For the Son of Man in his day will be like the lightning, which flashes and lights up the sky from one end to the other.
25 And first must he suffer many things, and be disapproved of by this generation. But first he must suffer many things and be rejected by this generation. But first he must suffer many things and be rejected by this generation.

29 And the day which Lot went out of Sodom, it rained fire and sulphur from heaven, and destroyed all. but on the day when Lot went out from Sodom, fire and sulfur rained from heaven and destroyed them all— But the day Lot left Sodom, fire and sulfur rained down from heaven and destroyed them all.
30 According to these shall be the day in which the Son of man is revealed. so will it be on the day when the Son of Man is revealed. “It will be just like this on the day the Son of Man is revealed.
31 In that day, whoever shall be upon the house, and his goods in the house, let him not go down to take them away: and he in the fields, likewise let him not turn back behind. On that day, let the one who is on the housetop, with his goods in the house, not come down to take them away, and likewise let the one who is in the field not turn back. On that day no one who is on the housetop, with possessions inside, should go down to get them. Likewise, no one in the field should go back for anything.

33 Whoever should seek to save his life shall lose it; and whoever shall lose it, shall preserve it alive. Whoever seeks to preserve his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life will keep it. Whoever tries to keep their life will lose it, and whoever loses their life will preserve it.
34 I say to you, that night shall be two upon one bed; one shall be taken, and the other let go. I tell you, in that night there will be two in one bed. One will be taken and the other left. I tell you, on that night two people will be in one bed; one will be taken and the other left.
35 Two females shall be grinding together; one shall be taken, and the other let go. There will be two women grinding together. One will be taken and the other left.” Two women will be grinding grain together; one will be taken and the other left.”

37 And having answered, they say to him, Where, Lord And he said to them, Where the body, there shall the eagles be gathered together. And they said to him, “Where, Lord?” He said to them, “Where the corpse is, there the vultures will gather.” “Where, Lord?” they asked. He replied, “Where there is a dead body, there the vultures will gather.”
