1 And he said unto his disciples, It is impossible but that occasions of stumbling should come: but woe unto him, through whom they come! And he said to his disciples, “Temptations to sin are sure to come, but woe to the one through whom they come! Jesus said to his disciples: “Things that cause people to stumble are bound to come, but woe to anyone through whom they come.
2 It were well for him if a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he were thrown into the sea, rather than that he should cause one of these little ones to stumble. It would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck and he were cast into the sea than that he should cause one of these little ones to sin. It would be better for them to be thrown into the sea with a millstone tied around their neck than to cause one of these little ones to stumble.
3 Take heed to yourselves: if thy brother sin, rebuke him; and if he repent, forgive him. Pay attention to yourselves! If your brother sins, rebuke him, and if he repents, forgive him, So watch yourselves. “If your brother or sister sins against you, rebuke them; and if they repent, forgive them.
4 And if he sin against thee seven times in the day, and seven times turn again to thee, saying, I repent; thou shalt forgive him. and if he sins against you seven times in the day, and turns to you seven times, saying, ‘I repent,’ you must forgive him.” Even if they sin against you seven times in a day and seven times come back to you saying ‘I repent,’ you must forgive them.”
5 And the apostles said unto the Lord, Increase our faith. The apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith!” The apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith!”
6 And the Lord said, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye would say unto this sycamine tree, Be thou rooted up, and be thou planted in the sea; and it would have obeyed you. And the Lord said, “If you had faith like a grain of mustard seed, you could say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted and planted in the sea,’ and it would obey you. He replied, “If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted and planted in the sea,’ and it will obey you.
7 But who is there of you, having a servant plowing or keeping sheep, that will say unto him, when he is come in from the field, Come straightway and sit down to meat; “Will any one of you who has a servant plowing or keeping sheep say to him when he has come in from the field, ‘Come at once and recline at table’? “Suppose one of you has a servant plowing or looking after the sheep. Will he say to the servant when he comes in from the field, ‘Come along now and sit down to eat’?
8 and will not rather say unto him, Make ready wherewith I may sup, and gird thyself, and serve me, till I have eaten and drunken; and afterward thou shalt eat and drink? Will he not rather say to him, ‘Prepare supper for me, and dress properly, and serve me while I eat and drink, and afterward you will eat and drink’? Won’t he rather say, ‘Prepare my supper, get yourself ready and wait on me while I eat and drink; after that you may eat and drink’?
9 Doth he thank the servant because he did the things that were commanded? Does he thank the servant because he did what was commanded? Will he thank the servant because he did what he was told to do?
10 Even so ye also, when ye shall have done all the things that are commanded you, say, We are unprofitable servants; we have done that which it was our duty to do. So you also, when you have done all that you were commanded, say, ‘We are unworthy servants; we have only done what was our duty.’” So you also, when you have done everything you were told to do, should say, ‘We are unworthy servants; we have only done our duty.’”
11 And it came to pass, as they were on the way to Jerusalem, that he was passing through the midst of Samaria and Galilee. On the way to Jerusalem he was passing along between Samaria and Galilee. Now on his way to Jerusalem, Jesus traveled along the border between Samaria and Galilee.

15 And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, with a loud voice glorifying God; Then one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, praising God with a loud voice; One of them, when he saw he was healed, came back, praising God in a loud voice.

18 Were there none found that returned to give glory to God, save this stranger? Was no one found to return and give praise to God except this foreigner?” Has no one returned to give praise to God except this foreigner?”
19 And he said unto him, Arise, and go thy way: thy faith hath made thee whole. And he said to him, “Rise and go your way; your faith has made you well.” Then he said to him, “Rise and go; your faith has made you well.”
20 And being asked by the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God cometh, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation: Being asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, he answered them, “The kingdom of God is not coming in ways that can be observed, Once, on being asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, Jesus replied, “The coming of the kingdom of God is not something that can be observed,
21 neither shall they say, Lo, here! or, There! for lo, the kingdom of God is within you. nor will they say, ‘Look, here it is!’ or ‘There!’ for behold, the kingdom of God is in the midst of you.” nor will people say, ‘Here it is,’ or ‘There it is,’ because the kingdom of God is in your midst.”
22 And he said unto the disciples, The days will come, when ye shall desire to see one of the days of the Son of man, and ye shall not see it. And he said to the disciples, “The days are coming when you will desire to see one of the days of the Son of Man, and you will not see it. Then he said to his disciples, “The time is coming when you will long to see one of the days of the Son of Man, but you will not see it.
23 And they shall say to you, Lo, there! Lo, here! go not away, nor follow after them: And they will say to you, ‘Look, there!’ or ‘Look, here!’ Do not go out or follow them. People will tell you, ‘There he is!’ or ‘Here he is!’ Do not go running off after them.
24 for as the lightning, when it lighteneth out of the one part under the heaven, shineth unto the other part under heaven; so shall the Son of man be in his day. For as the lightning flashes and lights up the sky from one side to the other, so will the Son of Man be in his day. For the Son of Man in his day will be like the lightning, which flashes and lights up the sky from one end to the other.

30 after the same manner shall it be in the day that the Son of man is revealed. so will it be on the day when the Son of Man is revealed. “It will be just like this on the day the Son of Man is revealed.
31 In that day, he which shall be on the housetop, and his goods in the house, let him not go down to take them away: and let him that is in the field likewise not return back. On that day, let the one who is on the housetop, with his goods in the house, not come down to take them away, and likewise let the one who is in the field not turn back. On that day no one who is on the housetop, with possessions inside, should go down to get them. Likewise, no one in the field should go back for anything.

33 Whosoever shall seek to gain his life shall lose it: but whosoever shall lose his life shall preserve it. Whoever seeks to preserve his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life will keep it. Whoever tries to keep their life will lose it, and whoever loses their life will preserve it.
34 I say unto you, In that night there shall be two men on one bed; the one shall be taken, and the other shall be left. I tell you, in that night there will be two in one bed. One will be taken and the other left. I tell you, on that night two people will be in one bed; one will be taken and the other left.
35 There shall be two women grinding together; the one shall be taken, and the other shall be left. There will be two women grinding together. One will be taken and the other left.” Two women will be grinding grain together; one will be taken and the other left.”

37 And they answering say unto him, Where, Lord? And he said unto them, Where the body is, thither will the eagles also be gathered together. And they said to him, “Where, Lord?” He said to them, “Where the corpse is, there the vultures will gather.” “Where, Lord?” they asked. He replied, “Where there is a dead body, there the vultures will gather.”
