1 And he said to his disciples: “It is impossible for scandals not to occur. But woe to him through whom they come! And he said to his disciples, “Temptations to sin are sure to come, but woe to the one through whom they come! Jesus said to his disciples: “Things that cause people to stumble are bound to come, but woe to anyone through whom they come.
2 It would be better for him if a millstone were placed around his neck and he were thrown into the sea, than to lead astray one of these little ones. It would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck and he were cast into the sea than that he should cause one of these little ones to sin. It would be better for them to be thrown into the sea with a millstone tied around their neck than to cause one of these little ones to stumble.
3 Be attentive to yourselves. If your brother has sinned against you, correct him. And if he has repented, forgive him. Pay attention to yourselves! If your brother sins, rebuke him, and if he repents, forgive him, So watch yourselves. “If your brother or sister sins against you, rebuke them; and if they repent, forgive them.
4 And if he has sinned against you seven times a day, and seven times a day has turned back to you, saying, ‘I am sorry,’ then forgive him.” and if he sins against you seven times in the day, and turns to you seven times, saying, ‘I repent,’ you must forgive him.” Even if they sin against you seven times in a day and seven times come back to you saying ‘I repent,’ you must forgive them.”
5 And the Apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith.” The apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith!” The apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith!”
6 But the Lord said: “If you have faith like a grain of mustard seed, you may say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted, and be transplanted into the sea.’ And it would obey you. And the Lord said, “If you had faith like a grain of mustard seed, you could say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted and planted in the sea,’ and it would obey you. He replied, “If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted and planted in the sea,’ and it will obey you.
7 But which of you, having a servant plowing or feeding cattle, would say to him, as he was returning from the field, ‘Come in immediately; sit down to eat,’ “Will any one of you who has a servant plowing or keeping sheep say to him when he has come in from the field, ‘Come at once and recline at table’? “Suppose one of you has a servant plowing or looking after the sheep. Will he say to the servant when he comes in from the field, ‘Come along now and sit down to eat’?
8 and would not say to him: ‘Prepare my dinner; gird yourself and minister to me, while I eat and drink; and after these things, you shall eat and drink?’ Will he not rather say to him, ‘Prepare supper for me, and dress properly, and serve me while I eat and drink, and afterward you will eat and drink’? Won’t he rather say, ‘Prepare my supper, get yourself ready and wait on me while I eat and drink; after that you may eat and drink’?
9 Would he be grateful to that servant, for doing what he commanded him to do? Does he thank the servant because he did what was commanded? Will he thank the servant because he did what he was told to do?
10 I think not. So too, when you have done all these things that have been taught to you, you should say: ‘We are useless servants. We have done what we should have done.’ ” So you also, when you have done all that you were commanded, say, ‘We are unworthy servants; we have only done what was our duty.’” So you also, when you have done everything you were told to do, should say, ‘We are unworthy servants; we have only done our duty.’”
11 And it happened that, while he was traveling to Jerusalem, he passed through the midst of Samaria and Galilee. On the way to Jerusalem he was passing along between Samaria and Galilee. Now on his way to Jerusalem, Jesus traveled along the border between Samaria and Galilee.
12 And as he was entering a certain town, ten leprous men met him, and they stood at a distance. And as he entered a village, he was met by ten lepers, who stood at a distance As he was going into a village, ten men who had leprosy met him. They stood at a distance
13 And they lifted up their voice, saying, “Jesus, Teacher, take pity on us.” and lifted up their voices, saying, “Jesus, Master, have mercy on us.” and called out in a loud voice, “Jesus, Master, have pity on us!”
14 And when he saw them, he said, “Go, show yourselves to the priests.” And it happened that, as they were going, they were cleansed. When he saw them he said to them, “Go and show yourselves to the priests.” And as they went they were cleansed. When he saw them, he said, “Go, show yourselves to the priests.” And as they went, they were cleansed.
15 And one of them, when he saw that he was cleansed, returned, magnifying God with a loud voice. Then one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, praising God with a loud voice; One of them, when he saw he was healed, came back, praising God in a loud voice.
16 And he fell face down before his feet, giving thanks. And this one was a Samaritan. and he fell on his face at Jesus’ feet, giving him thanks. Now he was a Samaritan. He threw himself at Jesus’ feet and thanked him—and he was a Samaritan.
17 And in response, Jesus said: “Were not ten made clean? And so where are the nine? Then Jesus answered, “Were not ten cleansed? Where are the nine? Jesus asked, “Were not all ten cleansed? Where are the other nine?
18 Was no one found who would return and give glory to God, except this foreigner?” Was no one found to return and give praise to God except this foreigner?” Has no one returned to give praise to God except this foreigner?”
19 And he said to him: “Rise up, go forth. For your faith has saved you.” And he said to him, “Rise and go your way; your faith has made you well.” Then he said to him, “Rise and go; your faith has made you well.”
20 Then he was questioned by the Pharisees: “When does the kingdom of God arrive?” And in response, he said to them: “The kingdom of God arrives unobserved. Being asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, he answered them, “The kingdom of God is not coming in ways that can be observed, Once, on being asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, Jesus replied, “The coming of the kingdom of God is not something that can be observed,
21 And so, they will not say, ‘Behold, it is here,’ or ‘Behold, it is there.’ For behold, the kingdom of God is within you.” nor will they say, ‘Look, here it is!’ or ‘There!’ for behold, the kingdom of God is in the midst of you.” nor will people say, ‘Here it is,’ or ‘There it is,’ because the kingdom of God is in your midst.”
22 And he said to his disciples: “The time will come when you will desire to see one day of the Son of man, and you will not see it. And he said to the disciples, “The days are coming when you will desire to see one of the days of the Son of Man, and you will not see it. Then he said to his disciples, “The time is coming when you will long to see one of the days of the Son of Man, but you will not see it.
23 And they will say to you, ‘Behold, he is here,’ and ‘Behold, he is there.’ Do not choose to go out, and do not follow them. And they will say to you, ‘Look, there!’ or ‘Look, here!’ Do not go out or follow them. People will tell you, ‘There he is!’ or ‘Here he is!’ Do not go running off after them.
24 For just as lightning flashes from under heaven and shines to whatever is under heaven, so also will the Son of man be in his day. For as the lightning flashes and lights up the sky from one side to the other, so will the Son of Man be in his day. For the Son of Man in his day will be like the lightning, which flashes and lights up the sky from one end to the other.

30 According to these things, so shall it be in the day when the Son of man will be revealed. so will it be on the day when the Son of Man is revealed. “It will be just like this on the day the Son of Man is revealed.
31 In that hour, whoever will be on the rooftop, with his goods in the house, let him not descend to take them. And whoever will be in the field, similarly, let him not turn back. On that day, let the one who is on the housetop, with his goods in the house, not come down to take them away, and likewise let the one who is in the field not turn back. On that day no one who is on the housetop, with possessions inside, should go down to get them. Likewise, no one in the field should go back for anything.
32 Remember Lot’s wife. Remember Lot’s wife. Remember Lot’s wife!
33 Whoever has sought to save his life, will lose it; and whoever has lost it, will bring it back to life. Whoever seeks to preserve his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life will keep it. Whoever tries to keep their life will lose it, and whoever loses their life will preserve it.
34 I say to you, in that night, there will be two in one bed. One will be taken up, and the other will be left behind. I tell you, in that night there will be two in one bed. One will be taken and the other left. I tell you, on that night two people will be in one bed; one will be taken and the other left.
35 Two will be at the grindstone together. One will be taken up, and the other will be left behind. Two will be in the field. One will be taken up, and the other will be left behind.” There will be two women grinding together. One will be taken and the other left.” Two women will be grinding grain together; one will be taken and the other left.”
36 Responding, they said to him, “Where, Lord?”
37 And he said to them, “Wherever the body will be, in that place also, the eagles shall be gathered together.” And they said to him, “Where, Lord?” He said to them, “Where the corpse is, there the vultures will gather.” “Where, Lord?” they asked. He replied, “Where there is a dead body, there the vultures will gather.”
