וְאֵ֙לֶּה֙ תּוֹלְדֹ֣ת בְּנֵי־ נֹ֔חַ שֵׁ֖ם חָ֣ם וָיָ֑פֶת וַיִּוָּלְד֥וּ לָהֶ֛ם בָּנִ֖ים אַחַ֥ר הַמַּבּֽוּל׃ |
This is the account of Noah’s sons Shem, Ham, and Japheth, who also had sons after the flood. |
Now these [are] the generations of the sons of Noah, Shem, Ham, and Japheth: and unto them were sons born after the flood. |

בְּנֵ֣י יֶ֔פֶת גֹּ֣מֶר וּמָג֔וֹג וּמָדַ֖י וְיָוָ֣ן וְתֻבָ֑ל וּמֶ֖שֶׁךְ וְתִירָֽס׃ |
The sons of Japheth: Gomer, Magog, Madai, Javan, Tubal, Meshech, and Tiras. |
The sons of Japheth; Gomer, and Magog, and Madai, and Javan, and Tubal, and Meshech, and Tiras. |

וּבְנֵ֖י גֹּ֑מֶר אַשְׁכֲּנַ֥ז וְרִיפַ֖ת וְתֹגַרְמָֽה׃ |
The sons of Gomer: Ashkenaz, Riphath, and Togarmah. |
And the sons of Gomer; Ashkenaz, and Riphath, and Togarmah. |

וּבְנֵ֥י יָוָ֖ן אֱלִישָׁ֣ה וְתַרְשִׁ֑ישׁ כִּתִּ֖ים וְדֹדָנִֽים׃ |
And the sons of Javan: Elishah, Tarshish, the Kittites, and the Rodanites. |
And the sons of Javan; Elishah, and Tarshish, Kittim, and Dodanim. |

מֵ֠אֵלֶּה נִפְרְד֞וּ אִיֵּ֤י הַגּוֹיִם֙ בְּאַרְצֹתָ֔ם אִ֖ישׁ לִלְשֹׁנ֑וֹ לְמִשְׁפְּחֹתָ֖ם בְּגוֹיֵהֶֽם׃ |
From these, the maritime peoples separated into their territories, according to their languages, by clans within their nations. |
By these were the isles of the Gentiles divided in their lands; every one after his tongue, after their families, in their nations. |

וּבְנֵ֖י חָ֑ם כּ֥וּשׁ וּמִצְרַ֖יִם וּפ֥וּט וּכְנָֽעַן׃ |
The sons of Ham: Cush, Mizraim, Put, and Canaan. |
And the sons of Ham; Cush, and Mizraim, and Phut, and Canaan. |

וּבְנֵ֣י כ֔וּשׁ סְבָא֙ וַֽחֲוִילָ֔ה וְסַבְתָּ֥ה וְרַעְמָ֖ה וְסַבְתְּכָ֑א וּבְנֵ֥י רַעְמָ֖ה שְׁבָ֥א וּדְדָֽן׃ |
The sons of Cush: Seba, Havilah, Sabtah, Raamah, and Sabteca. And the sons of Raamah: Sheba and Dedan. |
And the sons of Cush; Seba, and Havilah, and Sabtah, and Raamah, and Sabtecha: and the sons of Raamah; Sheba, and Dedan. |

וְכ֖וּשׁ יָלַ֣ד אֶת־ נִמְרֹ֑ד ה֣וּא הֵחֵ֔ל לִֽהְי֥וֹת גִּבֹּ֖ר בָּאָֽרֶץ׃ |
Cush was the father of Nimrod, who began to be a mighty one on the earth. |
And Cush begat Nimrod: he began to be a mighty one in the earth. |

הֽוּא־ הָיָ֥ה גִבֹּֽר־ צַ֖יִד לִפְנֵ֣י יְהוָ֑ה עַל־ כֵּן֙ יֵֽאָמַ֔ר כְּנִמְרֹ֛ד גִּבּ֥וֹר צַ֖יִד לִפְנֵ֥י יְהוָֽה׃ |
He was a mighty hunter before the LORD; so it is said, “Like Nimrod, a mighty hunter before the LORD.” |
He was a mighty hunter before the LORD: wherefore it is said, Even as Nimrod the mighty hunter before the LORD. |

וַתְּהִ֨י רֵאשִׁ֤ית מַמְלַכְתּוֹ֙ בָּבֶ֔ל וְאֶ֖רֶךְ וְאַכַּ֣ד וְכַלְנֵ֑ה בְּאֶ֖רֶץ שִׁנְעָֽר׃ |
His kingdom began in Babylon, Erech, Accad, and Calneh, in the land of Shinar. |
And the beginning of his kingdom was Babel, and Erech, and Accad, and Calneh, in the land of Shinar. |

| 11 |
מִן־ הָאָ֥רֶץ הַהִ֖וא יָצָ֣א אַשּׁ֑וּר וַיִּ֙בֶן֙ אֶת־ נִ֣ינְוֵ֔ה וְאֶת־ רְחֹבֹ֥ת עִ֖יר וְאֶת־ כָּֽלַח׃ |
From that land he went forth into Assyria, where he built Nineveh, Rehoboth-Ir, Calah, |
Out of that land went forth Asshur, and builded Nineveh, and the city Rehoboth, and Calah, |

וְֽאֶת־ רֶ֔סֶן בֵּ֥ין נִֽינְוֵ֖ה וּבֵ֣ין כָּ֑לַח הִ֖וא הָעִ֥יר הַגְּדֹלָֽה׃ |
and Resen, which is between Nineveh and the great city of Calah. |
And Resen between Nineveh and Calah: the same [is] a great city. |

| 13 |
וּמִצְרַ֡יִם יָלַ֞ד אֶת־ לוּדִ֧ים וְאֶת־ עֲנָמִ֛ים וְאֶת־ לְהָבִ֖ים וְאֶת־ נַפְתֻּחִֽים׃ |
Mizraim was the father of the Ludites, the Anamites, the Lehabites, the Naphtuhites, |
And Mizraim begat Ludim, and Anamim, and Lehabim, and Naphtuhim, |

וְֽאֶת־ פַּתְרֻסִ֞ים וְאֶת־ כַּסְלֻחִ֗ים אֲשֶׁ֨ר יָצְא֥וּ מִשָּׁ֛ם פְּלִשְׁתִּ֖ים וְאֶת־ כַּפְתֹּרִֽים׃ ס |
the Pathrusites, the Casluhites (from whom the Philistines came), and the Caphtorites. |
And Pathrusim, and Casluhim, (out of whom came Philistim, ) and Caphtorim. |

| 15 |
וּכְנַ֗עַן יָלַ֛ד אֶת־ צִידֹ֥ן בְּכֹר֖וֹ וְאֶת־ חֵֽת׃ |
And Canaan was the father of Sidon his firstborn, and of the Hittites, |
And Canaan begat Sidon his firstborn, and Heth, |

| 16 |
וְאֶת־ הַיְבוּסִי֙ וְאֶת־ הָ֣אֱמֹרִ֔י וְאֵ֖ת הַגִּרְגָּשִֽׁי׃ |
the Jebusites, the Amorites, the Girgashites, |
And the Jebusite, and the Amorite, and the Girgasite, |

| 17 |
וְאֶת־ הַֽחִוִּ֥י וְאֶת־ הַֽעַרְקִ֖י וְאֶת־ הַסִּינִֽי׃ |
the Hivites, the Arkites, the Sinites, |
And the Hivite, and the Arkite, and the Sinite, |
|
| 18 |
וְאֶת־ הָֽאַרְוָדִ֥י וְאֶת־ הַצְּמָרִ֖י וְאֶת־ הַֽחֲמָתִ֑י וְאַחַ֣ר נָפֹ֔צוּ מִשְׁפְּח֖וֹת הַֽכְּנַעֲנִֽי׃ |
the Arvadites, the Zemarites, and the Hamathites. Later the Canaanite clans were scattered, |
And the Arvadite, and the Zemarite, and the Hamathite: and afterward were the families of the Canaanites spread abroad. |

| 19 |
וַֽיְהִ֞י גְּב֤וּל הַֽכְּנַעֲנִי֙ מִצִּידֹ֔ן בֹּאֲכָ֥ה גְרָ֖רָה עַד־ עַזָּ֑ה בֹּאֲכָ֞ה סְדֹ֧מָה וַעֲמֹרָ֛ה וְאַדְמָ֥ה וּצְבֹיִ֖ם עַד־ לָֽשַׁע׃ |
and the borders of Canaan extended from Sidon toward Gerar as far as Gaza, and then toward Sodom, Gomorrah, Admah, and Zeboiim, as far as Lasha. |
And the border of the Canaanites was from Sidon, as thou comest to Gerar, unto Gaza; as thou goest, unto Sodom, and Gomorrah, and Admah, and Zeboim, even unto Lasha. |

| 20 |
אֵ֣לֶּה בְנֵי־ חָ֔ם לְמִשְׁפְּחֹתָ֖ם לִלְשֹֽׁנֹתָ֑ם בְּאַרְצֹתָ֖ם בְּגוֹיֵהֶֽם׃ ס |
These are the sons of Ham according to their clans, languages, lands, and nations. |
These [are] the sons of Ham, after their families, after their tongues, in their countries, [and] in their nations. |
|
| 21 |
וּלְשֵׁ֥ם יֻלַּ֖ד גַּם־ ה֑וּא אֲבִי֙ כָּל־ בְּנֵי־ עֵ֔בֶר אֲחִ֖י יֶ֥פֶת הַגָּדֽוֹל׃ |
And sons were also born to Shem, the older brother of Japheth; Shem was the forefather of all the sons of Eber. |
Unto Shem also, the father of all the children of Eber, the brother of Japheth the elder, even to him were [children] born. |

| 22 |
בְּנֵ֥י שֵׁ֖ם עֵילָ֣ם וְאַשּׁ֑וּר וְאַרְפַּכְשַׁ֖ד וְל֥וּד וַֽאֲרָֽם׃ |
The sons of Shem: Elam, Asshur, Arphaxad, Lud, and Aram. |
The children of Shem; Elam, and Asshur, and Arphaxad, and Lud, and Aram. |

| 23 |
וּבְנֵ֖י אֲרָ֑ם ע֥וּץ וְח֖וּל וְגֶ֥תֶר וָמַֽשׁ׃ |
The sons of Aram: Uz, Hul, Gether, and Mash. |
And the children of Aram; Uz, and Hul, and Gether, and Mash. |

| 24 |
וְאַרְפַּכְשַׁ֖ד יָלַ֣ד אֶת־ שָׁ֑לַח וְשֶׁ֖לַח יָלַ֥ד אֶת־ עֵֽבֶר׃ |
Arphaxad was the father of Shelah, and Shelah was the father of Eber. |
And Arphaxad begat Salah; and Salah begat Eber. |

| 25 |
וּלְעֵ֥בֶר יֻלַּ֖ד שְׁנֵ֣י בָנִ֑ים שֵׁ֣ם הָֽאֶחָ֞ד פֶּ֗לֶג כִּ֤י בְיָמָיו֙ נִפְלְגָ֣ה הָאָ֔רֶץ וְשֵׁ֥ם אָחִ֖יו יָקְטָֽן׃ |
Two sons were born to Eber: One was named Peleg, because in his days the earth was divided, and his brother was named Joktan. |
And unto Eber were born two sons: the name of one [was] Peleg; for in his days was the earth divided; and his brother's name [was] Joktan. |

| 26 |
וְיָקְטָ֣ן יָלַ֔ד אֶת־ אַלְמוֹדָ֖ד וְאֶת־ שָׁ֑לֶף וְאֶת־ חֲצַרְמָ֖וֶת וְאֶת־ יָֽרַח׃ |
And Joktan was the father of Almodad, Sheleph, Hazarmaveth, Jerah, |
And Joktan begat Almodad, and Sheleph, and Hazarmaveth, and Jerah, |

| 27 |
וְאֶת־ הֲדוֹרָ֥ם וְאֶת־ אוּזָ֖ל וְאֶת־ דִּקְלָֽה׃ |
Hadoram, Uzal, Diklah, |
And Hadoram, and Uzal, and Diklah, |
|
| 28 |
וְאֶת־ עוֹבָ֥ל וְאֶת־ אֲבִֽימָאֵ֖ל וְאֶת־ שְׁבָֽא׃ |
Obal, Abimael, Sheba, |
And Obal, and Abimael, and Sheba, |
|
| 29 |
וְאֶת־ אוֹפִ֥ר וְאֶת־ חֲוִילָ֖ה וְאֶת־ יוֹבָ֑ב כָּל־ אֵ֖לֶּה בְּנֵ֥י יָקְטָֽן׃ |
Ophir, Havilah, and Jobab. All these were sons of Joktan. |
And Ophir, and Havilah, and Jobab: all these [were] the sons of Joktan. |

| 30 |
וַֽיְהִ֥י מוֹשָׁבָ֖ם מִמֵּשָׁ֑א בֹּאֲכָ֥ה סְפָ֖רָה הַ֥ר הַקֶּֽדֶם׃ |
Their territory extended from Mesha to Sephar, in the eastern hill country. |
And their dwelling was from Mesha, as thou goest unto Sephar a mount of the east. |

| 31 |
אֵ֣לֶּה בְנֵי־ שֵׁ֔ם לְמִשְׁפְּחֹתָ֖ם לִלְשֹׁנֹתָ֑ם בְּאַרְצֹתָ֖ם לְגוֹיֵהֶֽם׃ |
These are the sons of Shem, according to their clans, languages, lands, and nations. |
These [are] the sons of Shem, after their families, after their tongues, in their lands, after their nations. |

| 32 |
אֵ֣לֶּה מִשְׁפְּחֹ֧ת בְּנֵי־ נֹ֛חַ לְתוֹלְדֹתָ֖ם בְּגוֹיֵהֶ֑ם וּמֵאֵ֜לֶּה נִפְרְד֧וּ הַגּוֹיִ֛ם בָּאָ֖רֶץ אַחַ֥ר הַמַּבּֽוּל׃ פ |
All these are the clans of Noah’s sons, according to their generations and nations. From these the nations of the earth spread out after the flood. |
These [are] the families of the sons of Noah, after their generations, in their nations: and by these were the nations divided in the earth after the flood. |
