1 And they brought in the ark of God and placed it inside the tent which David had pitched for it, and they brought burnt offerings and peace offerings near before God. 7 Then on that day David first assigned Asaph and his relatives to give thanks to Yahweh. Then on that day David first appointed that thanksgiving be sung to the LORD by Asaph and his brothers. That day David first appointed Asaph and his associates to give praise to the LORD in this manner:
8 Oh give thanks to Yahweh, call upon His name; Make known His acts among the peoples. Oh give thanks to the LORD; call upon his name; make known his deeds among the peoples! Give praise to the LORD, proclaim his name; make known among the nations what he has done.
9 Sing to Him, sing praises to Him; Muse on all His wondrous deeds. Sing to him, sing praises to him; tell of all his wondrous works! Sing to him, sing praise to him; tell of all his wonderful acts.
10 Boast in His holy name; Let the heart of those who seek Yahweh be glad. Glory in his holy name; let the hearts of those who seek the LORD rejoice! Glory in his holy name; let the hearts of those who seek the LORD rejoice.
11 Inquire of Yahweh and His strength; Seek His face continually. Seek the LORD and his strength; seek his presence continually! Look to the LORD and his strength; seek his face always.
12 Remember His wondrous deeds which He has done, His miraculous signs and the judgments uttered by His mouth, Remember the wondrous works that he has done, his miracles and the judgments he uttered, Remember the wonders he has done, his miracles, and the judgments he pronounced,
13 O seed of Israel His servant, O sons of Jacob, His chosen ones! O offspring of Israel his servant, children of Jacob, his chosen ones! you his servants, the descendants of Israel, his chosen ones, the children of Jacob.
14 He is Yahweh our God; His judgments are in all the earth. He is the LORD our God; his judgments are in all the earth. He is the LORD our God; his judgments are in all the earth.
15 Remember His covenant forever, The word which He commanded for a thousand generations, Remember his covenant forever, the word that he commanded, for a thousand generations, He remembers his covenant forever, the promise he made, for a thousand generations,
16 which He cut with Abraham, And His oath to Isaac. the covenant that he made with Abraham, his sworn promise to Isaac, the covenant he made with Abraham, the oath he swore to Isaac.
17 Then He also confirmed it to Jacob for a statute, To Israel as an everlasting covenant, which he confirmed to Jacob as a statute, to Israel as an everlasting covenant, He confirmed it to Jacob as a decree, to Israel as an everlasting covenant:
18 Saying, “To you I will give the land of Canaan, As the portion of your inheritance,” saying, “To you I will give the land of Canaan, as your portion for an inheritance.” “To you I will give the land of Canaan as the portion you will inherit.”
19 When you were only a few men in number, Of little account, and sojourners in it, When you were few in number, of little account, and sojourners in it, When they were but few in number, few indeed, and strangers in it,
20 And they wandered about from nation to nation, And from one kingdom to another people, wandering from nation to nation, from one kingdom to another people, they wandered from nation to nation, from one kingdom to another.
21 He permitted no man to oppress them, And He reproved kings for their sakes, he allowed no one to oppress them; he rebuked kings on their account, He allowed no one to oppress them; for their sake he rebuked kings:
22 “Do not touch My anointed ones, And against My prophets do no evil.” saying, “Touch not my anointed ones, do my prophets no harm!” “Do not touch my anointed ones; do my prophets no harm.”
23 Sing to Yahweh, all the earth; Proclaim good news of His salvation from day to day. Sing to the LORD, all the earth! Tell of his salvation from day to day. Sing to the LORD, all the earth; proclaim his salvation day after day.
24 Recount His glory among the nations, His wondrous deeds among all the peoples. Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous works among all the peoples! Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous deeds among all peoples.
25 For great is Yahweh, and greatly to be praised; And He is more fearsome than all gods. For great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised, and he is to be feared above all gods. For great is the LORD and most worthy of praise; he is to be feared above all gods.
26 For all the gods of the peoples are idols, But Yahweh made the heavens. For all the gods of the peoples are worthless idols, but the LORD made the heavens. For all the gods of the nations are idols, but the LORD made the heavens.
27 Splendor and majesty are before Him, Strength and joy are in His place. Splendor and majesty are before him; strength and joy are in his place. Splendor and majesty are before him; strength and joy are in his dwelling place.
28 Ascribe to Yahweh, O families of the peoples, Ascribe to Yahweh glory and strength. Ascribe to the LORD, O families of the peoples, ascribe to the LORD glory and strength! Ascribe to the LORD, all you families of nations, ascribe to the LORD glory and strength.
29 Ascribe to Yahweh the glory of His name; Lift up an offering, and come before Him; Worship Yahweh in the splendor of holiness. Ascribe to the LORD the glory due his name; bring an offering and come before him! Worship the LORD in the splendor of holiness; Ascribe to the LORD the glory due his name; bring an offering and come before him. Worship the LORD in the splendor of his holiness.
30 Tremble before Him, all the earth; Indeed, the world is established, it will not be shaken. tremble before him, all the earth; yes, the world is established; it shall never be moved. Tremble before him, all the earth! The world is firmly established; it cannot be moved.
31 Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice; And let them say among the nations, “Yahweh reigns.” Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice, and let them say among the nations, “The LORD reigns!” Let the heavens rejoice, let the earth be glad; let them say among the nations, “The LORD reigns!”
32 Let the sea roar, as well as its fullness; Let the field exult, and all that is in it. Let the sea roar, and all that fills it; let the field exult, and everything in it! Let the sea resound, and all that is in it; let the fields be jubilant, and everything in them!
33 Then the trees of the forest will sing for joy before Yahweh; For He is coming to judge the earth. Then shall the trees of the forest sing for joy before the LORD, for he comes to judge the earth. Let the trees of the forest sing, let them sing for joy before the LORD, for he comes to judge the earth.
34 Oh give thanks to Yahweh, for He is good, For His lovingkindness endures forever. Oh give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; for his steadfast love endures forever! Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever.
35 Then say, “Save us, O God of our salvation, And gather us and deliver us from among the nations, To give thanks to Your holy name And revel in Your praise.” Say also: “Save us, O God of our salvation, and gather and deliver us from among the nations, that we may give thanks to your holy name and glory in your praise. Cry out, “Save us, God our Savior; gather us and deliver us from the nations, that we may give thanks to your holy name, and glory in your praise.”
36 Blessed be Yahweh, the God of Israel, From everlasting to everlasting. Then all the people said, “Amen,” and praised Yahweh. Blessed be the LORD, the God of Israel, from everlasting to everlasting!” Then all the people said, “Amen!” and praised the LORD. Praise be to the LORD, the God of Israel, from everlasting to everlasting. Then all the people said “Amen” and “Praise the LORD.”
37 So he left behind Asaph and his relatives there before the ark of the covenant of Yahweh to minister before the ark continually, as every day’s work required; So David left Asaph and his brothers there before the ark of the covenant of the LORD to minister regularly before the ark as each day required, David left Asaph and his associates before the ark of the covenant of the LORD to minister there regularly, according to each day’s requirements.
38 and Obed-edom with his 68 relatives; Obed-edom, also the son of Jeduthun, and Hosah as gatekeepers. and also Obed-edom and his sixty-eight brothers, while Obed-edom, the son of Jeduthun, and Hosah were to be gatekeepers. He also left Obed-Edom and his sixty-eight associates to minister with them. Obed-Edom son of Jeduthun, and also Hosah, were gatekeepers.
39 Now he left behind Zadok the priest and his relatives the priests before the tabernacle of Yahweh in the high place, which was at Gibeon, And he left Zadok the priest and his brothers the priests before the tabernacle of the LORD in the high place that was at Gibeon David left Zadok the priest and his fellow priests before the tabernacle of the LORD at the high place in Gibeon

41 And with them were Heman and Jeduthun, and the rest who were chosen, who were designated by name, to give thanks to Yahweh, because His lovingkindness endures forever. With them were Heman and Jeduthun and the rest of those chosen and expressly named to give thanks to the LORD, for his steadfast love endures forever. 42 And with them were Heman and Jeduthun with trumpets and cymbals for those who should sound aloud, and with instruments for the songs of God, and the sons of Jeduthun for the gate. Heman and Jeduthun were responsible for the sounding of the trumpets and cymbals and for the playing of the other instruments for sacred song. The sons of Jeduthun were stationed at the gate.
43 Then all the people went each to his house, and David returned to bless his household. Then all the people departed each to his house, and David went home to bless his household. Then all the people left, each for their own home, and David returned home to bless his family.
