13O children of Israel, God's servant, you descendants of Jacob, God's chosen ones! | 13O offspring of His servant Israel, O sons of Jacob, His chosen ones. |
14He is the LORD our God; he carries out judgment throughout the earth. | 14He is the LORD our God; His judgments carry throughout the earth. |
15Remember continually his covenantal decree, the promise he made to a thousand generations-- | 15Remember His covenant forever, the word He ordained for a thousand generations— |
16the promise he made to Abraham, the promise he made by oath to Isaac! | 16the covenant He made with Abraham, and the oath He swore to Isaac. |
17He gave it to Jacob as a decree, to Israel as a lasting promise, | 17He confirmed it to Jacob as a decree, to Israel as an everlasting covenant: |
18saying, "To you I will give the land of Canaan as the portion of your inheritance." | 18‘I will give you the land of Canaan as the portion of your inheritance.’ |

25For the LORD is great and certainly worthy of praise, he is more awesome than all gods. | 25For great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised; He is to be feared above all gods. |
26For all the gods of the nations are worthless, but the LORD made the heavens. | 26For all the gods of the nations are idols, but it is the LORD who made the heavens. |
27Majestic splendor emanates from him, he is the source of strength and joy. | 27Splendor and majesty are before Him; strength and joy fill His dwelling. |
28Ascribe to the LORD, O families of the nations, ascribe to the LORD splendor and strength! | 28Ascribe to the LORD, O families of the nations, ascribe to the LORD glory and strength. |
29Ascribe to the LORD the splendor he deserves! Bring an offering and enter his presence! Worship the LORD in holy attire! | 29Ascribe to the LORD the glory due His name; bring an offering and come before Him. Worship the LORD in the splendor of His holiness; |

34Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good and his loyal love endures. | 34Give thanks to the LORD, for He is good; His loving devotion endures forever. |
35Say this prayer: "Deliver us, O God who delivers us! Gather us! Rescue us from the nations! 37David left Asaph and his colleagues there before the ark of the LORD's covenant to serve before the ark regularly and fulfill each day's requirements, | 37So David left Asaph and his brothers there before the ark of the covenant of the LORD, to minister there regularly according to the daily requirements, |
38including Obed-Edom and sixty-eight colleagues. Obed-Edom son of Jeduthun and Hosah were gatekeepers. | 38along with Obed-edom and his sixty-eight relatives. Obed-edom son of Jeduthun, and also Hosah, were to be gatekeepers. |
39Zadok the priest and his fellow priests served before the LORD's tabernacle at the worship center in Gibeon, | 39And David left Zadok the priest and his fellow priests before the tabernacle of the LORD at the high place in Gibeon |
40regularly offering burnt sacrifices to the LORD on the altar for burnt sacrifice, morning and evening, according to what is prescribed in the law of the LORD which he charged Israel to observe. | 40to regularly present burnt offerings to the LORD on the altar of burnt offerings, morning and evening, according to all that was written in the Law of the LORD, which He had commanded Israel to keep. |
41Joining them were Heman, Jeduthun, and the rest of those chosen and designated by name to give thanks to the LORD. 42Heman and Jeduthun were in charge of the music, including the trumpets, cymbals, and the other musical instruments used in praising God. And the sons of Jeduthun were stationed at the gate. |
43Then all the people returned to their homes, and David went to pronounce a blessing on his family. | 43Then all the people departed for their homes, and David returned home to bless his household. |
