He appointed some of the Levites as ministers before the ark of the LORD, even to celebrate and to thank and praise the LORD God of Israel:4David appointed some of the Levites to be ministers before the ark of the LORD, to celebrate the LORD God of Israel, and to give thanks and praise to Him.

Oh give thanks to the LORD, call upon His name; Make known His deeds among the peoples.8Give thanks to Yahweh; call on His name; proclaim His deeds among the peoples.
Sing to Him, sing praises to Him; Speak of all His wonders.9Sing to Him; sing praise to Him; tell about all His wonderful works!
Glory in His holy name; Let the heart of those who seek the LORD be glad.10Honor His holy name; let the hearts of those who seek Yahweh rejoice.
Seek the LORD and His strength; Seek His face continually.11Search for the LORD and for His strength; seek His face always.
Remember His wonderful deeds which He has done, His marvels and the judgments from His mouth,12Remember the wonderful works He has done, His wonders, and the judgments He has pronounced,
O seed of Israel His servant, Sons of Jacob, His chosen ones!13you offspring of Israel His servant, Jacob's descendants--His chosen ones.
He is the LORD our God; His judgments are in all the earth.14He is the LORD our God; His judgments govern the whole earth.
Remember His covenant forever, The word which He commanded to a thousand generations,15Remember His covenant forever-- the promise He ordained for a thousand generations,
The covenant which He made with Abraham, And His oath to Isaac.16the covenant He made with Abraham, swore to Isaac,
He also confirmed it to Jacob for a statute, To Israel as an everlasting covenant,17and confirmed to Jacob as a decree, and to Israel as an everlasting covenant:"
Saying, "To you I will give the land of Canaan, As the portion of your inheritance."18I will give the land of Canaan to you as your inherited portion."
When they were only a few in number, Very few, and strangers in it,19When they were few in number, very few indeed, and temporary residents in Canaan
And they wandered about from nation to nation, And from one kingdom to another people,20wandering from nation to nation and from one kingdom to another,
He permitted no man to oppress them, And He reproved kings for their sakes, saying,21He allowed no one to oppress them; He rebuked kings on their behalf:"
"Do not touch My anointed ones, And do My prophets no harm."22Do not touch My anointed ones or harm My prophets."
Sing to the LORD, all the earth; Proclaim good tidings of His salvation from day to day.23Sing to the LORD, all the earth. Proclaim His salvation from day to day.
Tell of His glory among the nations, His wonderful deeds among all the peoples.24Declare His glory among the nations, His wonderful works among all peoples.
For great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised; He also is to be feared above all gods.25For the LORD is great and highly praised; He is feared above all gods.
For all the gods of the peoples are idols, But the LORD made the heavens.26For all the gods of the peoples are idols, but the LORD made the heavens.
Splendor and majesty are before Him, Strength and joy are in His place.27Splendor and majesty are before Him; strength and joy are in His place.

Ascribe to the LORD the glory due His name; Bring an offering, and come before Him; Worship the LORD in holy array.29Ascribe to Yahweh the glory of His name; bring an offering and come before Him. Worship the LORD in the splendor of His holiness;
Tremble before Him, all the earth; Indeed, the world is firmly established, it will not be moved.30tremble before Him, all the earth. The world is firmly established; it cannot be shaken.
Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice; And let them say among the nations, "The LORD reigns."31Let the heavens be glad and the earth rejoice, and let them say among the nations, "The LORD is King!"
Let the sea roar, and all it contains; Let the field exult, and all that is in it.32Let the sea and everything in it resound; let the fields and all that is in them exult.
Then the trees of the forest will sing for joy before the LORD; For He is coming to judge the earth.33Then the trees of the forest will shout for joy before the LORD, for He is coming to judge the earth.
O give thanks to the LORD, for He is good; For His lovingkindness is everlasting.34Give thanks to the LORD, for He is good; His faithful love endures forever.
Then say, "Save us, O God of our salvation, And gather us and deliver us from the nations, To give thanks to Your holy name, And glory in Your praise."35And say: "Save us, God of our salvation; gather us and rescue us from the nations so that we may give thanks to Your holy name and rejoice in Your praise.
