As for you, O king, the Most High God gave your father Nebuchadnezzar sovereignty and greatness, glory and honor.

behold, I will summon all the families of the north, declares the LORD, and I will send for My servant Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon. So I will completely destroy them and make them an object of horror and contempt, an everlasting desolation.
By My great power and outstretched arm, I made the earth and the men and beasts on the face of it, and I give it to whom I please.
I handed it over to the ruler of the nations, for him to deal with it according to its wickedness. I have banished it.
You, O king, are the king of kings, to whom the God of heaven has given sovereignty, power, strength, and glory.
Wherever the sons of men or beasts of the field or birds of the air dwell, He has given them into your hand and has made you ruler over them all. You are that head of gold.
I am pleased to declare the signs and wonders that the Most High God has performed for me:
This decision is the decree of the watchers, the verdict declared by the holy ones, so that the living will know that the Most High is ruler over the kingdom of mankind, and gives it to whom He wishes, setting over it the lowliest of men.'
But at the end of those days, I, Nebuchadnezzar, looked up to heaven, and my sanity was restored to me. Then I praised the Most High, and I honored and glorified Him who lives forever: "For His dominion is an everlasting dominion, and His kingdom endures from generation to generation.
He was driven away from mankind, and his mind was like that of a beast. He lived with the wild donkeys and ate grass like cattle, and his body was drenched with the dew of heaven until he acknowledged that the Most High God is ruler over the kingdom of mankind, and He sets over it whom He wishes.
