The Lord is My Salvation

NIVESVNASBKJVHCSB
Of David. The LORD is my light and my salvation-- whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life-- of whom shall I be afraid?1The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?1A Psalm of David. The LORD is my light and my salvation; Whom shall I fear? The LORD is the defense of my life; Whom shall I dread?1A Psalm of David. The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?1Davidic. The LORD is my light and my salvation-- whom should I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life-- of whom should I be afraid?
When the wicked advance against me to devour me, it is my enemies and my foes who will stumble and fall.2When evildoers assail me to eat up my flesh, my adversaries and foes, it is they who stumble and fall.2When evildoers came upon me to devour my flesh, My adversaries and my enemies, they stumbled and fell.2When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell.2When evildoers came against me to devour my flesh, my foes and my enemies stumbled and fell.
Though an army besiege me, my heart will not fear; though war break out against me, even then I will be confident.3Though an army encamp against me, my heart shall not fear; though war arise against me, yet I will be confident.3Though a host encamp against me, My heart will not fear; Though war arise against me, In spite of this I shall be confident.3Though an host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident.3Though an army deploys against me, my heart is not afraid; though a war breaks out against me, still I am confident.
One thing I ask from the LORD, this only do I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to gaze on the beauty of the LORD and to seek him in his temple.4One thing have I asked of the LORD, that will I seek after: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the LORD and to inquire in his temple.4One thing I have asked from the LORD, that I shall seek: That I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, To behold the beauty of the LORD And to meditate in His temple.4One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to inquire in his temple.4I have asked one thing from the LORD; it is what I desire: to dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, gazing on the beauty of the LORD and seeking Him in His temple.

For in the day of trouble he will keep me safe in his dwelling; he will hide me in the shelter of his sacred tent and set me high upon a rock.5For he will hide me in his shelter in the day of trouble; he will conceal me under the cover of his tent; he will lift me high upon a rock.5For in the day of trouble He will conceal me in His tabernacle; In the secret place of His tent He will hide me; He will lift me up on a rock.5For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock.5For He will conceal me in His shelter in the day of adversity; He will hide me under the cover of His tent; He will set me high on a rock.
Then my head will be exalted above the enemies who surround me; at his sacred tent I will sacrifice with shouts of joy; I will sing and make music to the LORD.6And now my head shall be lifted up above my enemies all around me, and I will offer in his tent sacrifices with shouts of joy; I will sing and make melody to the LORD.6And now my head will be lifted up above my enemies around me, And I will offer in His tent sacrifices with shouts of joy; I will sing, yes, I will sing praises to the LORD.6And now shall mine head be lifted up above mine enemies round about me: therefore will I offer in his tabernacle sacrifices of joy; I will sing, yea, I will sing praises unto the LORD.6Then my head will be high above my enemies around me; I will offer sacrifices in His tent with shouts of joy. I will sing and make music to the LORD.
Hear my voice when I call, LORD; be merciful to me and answer me.7Hear, O LORD, when I cry aloud; be gracious to me and answer me!7Hear, O LORD, when I cry with my voice, And be gracious to me and answer me.7Hear, O LORD, when I cry with my voice: have mercy also upon me, and answer me.7 LORD, hear my voice when I call; be gracious to me and answer me.
My heart says of you, "Seek his face!" Your face, LORD, I will seek.8You have said, “Seek my face.” My heart says to you, “Your face, LORD, do I seek.”8When You said, "Seek My face," my heart said to You, "Your face, O LORD, I shall seek."8When thou saidst, Seek ye my face; my heart said unto thee, Thy face, LORD, will I seek.8My heart says this about You," You are to seek My face." LORD, I will seek Your face.
Do not hide your face from me, do not turn your servant away in anger; you have been my helper. Do not reject me or forsake me, God my Savior.9Hide not your face from me. Turn not your servant away in anger, O you who have been my help. Cast me not off; forsake me not, O God of my salvation!9Do not hide Your face from me, Do not turn Your servant away in anger; You have been my help; Do not abandon me nor forsake me, O God of my salvation!9Hide not thy face far from me; put not thy servant away in anger: thou hast been my help; leave me not, neither forsake me, O God of my salvation.9Do not hide Your face from me; do not turn Your servant away in anger. You have been my helper; do not leave me or abandon me, God of my salvation.

Though my father and mother forsake me, the LORD will receive me.10For my father and my mother have forsaken me, but the LORD will take me in.10For my father and my mother have forsaken me, But the LORD will take me up.10When my father and my mother forsake me, then the LORD will take me up.10Even if my father and mother abandon me, the LORD cares for me.
Teach me your way, LORD; lead me in a straight path because of my oppressors.11Teach me your way, O LORD, and lead me on a level path because of my enemies.11Teach me Your way, O LORD, And lead me in a level path Because of my foes.11Teach me thy way, O LORD, and lead me in a plain path, because of mine enemies.11Because of my adversaries, show me Your way, LORD, and lead me on a level path.
Do not turn me over to the desire of my foes, for false witnesses rise up against me, spouting malicious accusations.12Give me not up to the will of my adversaries; for false witnesses have risen against me, and they breathe out violence.12Do not deliver me over to the desire of my adversaries, For false witnesses have risen against me, And such as breathe out violence.12Deliver me not over unto the will of mine enemies: for false witnesses are risen up against me, and such as breathe out cruelty.12Do not give me over to the will of my foes, for false witnesses rise up against me, breathing violence.
I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living.13I believe that I shall look upon the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living!13I would have despaired unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the LORD In the land of the living.13I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living.13I am certain that I will see the LORD's goodness in the land of the living.
Wait for the LORD; be strong and take heart and wait for the LORD.14Wait for the LORD; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the LORD!14Wait for the LORD; Be strong and let your heart take courage; Yes, wait for the LORD.14Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.14Wait for the LORD; be strong and courageous. Wait for the LORD.
