And into whatsoever city or town ye shall enter, inquire who in it is worthy; and there abide till ye go thence. And whatever city or village you enter, inquire who is worthy in it, and stay at his house until you leave that city.
As you enter the house, greet it. Greet a household when you enter it, And when ye come into an house, salute it. As you enter the house, give it your greeting.
And if the house is worthy, let your peace come upon it, but if it is not worthy, let your peace return to you. and if the household is worthy, let your peace be on it. But if it is unworthy, let your peace return to you. And if the house be worthy, let your peace come upon it: but if it be not worthy, let your peace return to you. If the house is worthy, see that your blessing of peace comes upon it. But if it is not worthy, take back your blessing of peace.

Truly, I say to you, it will be more bearable on the day of judgment for the land of Sodom and Gomorrah than for that town. I assure you: It will be more tolerable on the day of judgment for the land of Sodom and Gomorrah than for that town. Verily I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrha in the day of judgment, than for that city. Truly I say to you, it will be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrah on the day of judgment, than for that city.
“Behold, I am sending you out as sheep in the midst of wolves, so be wise as serpents and innocent as doves. “Look, I’m sending you out like sheep among wolves. Therefore be as shrewd as serpents and as harmless as doves. Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves. “Behold, I am sending you out as sheep in the midst of wolves; so be as wary as serpents, and as innocent as doves.
Beware of men, for they will deliver you over to courts and flog you in their synagogues, Because people will hand you over to sanhedrins and flog you in their synagogues, beware of them. But beware of men: for they will deliver you up to the councils, and they will scourge you in their synagogues; But be on guard against people, for they will hand you over to the courts and flog you in their synagogues;
and you will be dragged before governors and kings for my sake, to bear witness before them and the Gentiles. You will even be brought before governors and kings because of Me, to bear witness to them and to the nations. And ye shall be brought before governors and kings for my sake, for a testimony against them and the Gentiles. and you will even be brought before governors and kings on My account, as a testimony to them and to the Gentiles.
When they deliver you over, do not be anxious how you are to speak or what you are to say, for what you are to say will be given to you in that hour. But when they hand you over, don’t worry about how or what you should speak. For you will be given what to say at that hour, But when they deliver you up, take no thought how or what ye shall speak: for it shall be given you in that same hour what ye shall speak. But when they hand you over, do not worry about how or what you are to say; for what you are to say will be given you in that hour.
For it is not you who speak, but the Spirit of your Father speaking through you. because you are not speaking, but the Spirit of your Father is speaking through you. For it is not ye that speak, but the Spirit of your Father which speaketh in you. For it is not you who are speaking, but it is the Spirit of your Father who is speaking in you.
Brother will deliver brother over to death, and the father his child, and children will rise against parents and have them put to death, “Brother will betray brother to death, and a father his child. Children will even rise up against their parents and have them put to death. And the brother shall deliver up the brother to death, and the father the child: and the children shall rise up against their parents, and cause them to be put to death. “Now brother will betray brother to death, and a father his child; and children will rise up against parents and cause them to be put to death.
and you will be hated by all for my name’s sake. But the one who endures to the end will be saved. You will be hated by everyone because of My name. But the one who endures to the end will be delivered. And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved. And you will be hated by all because of My name, but it is the one who has endured to the end who will be saved.
When they persecute you in one town, flee to the next, for truly, I say to you, you will not have gone through all the towns of Israel before the Son of Man comes. When they persecute you in one town, escape to another. For I assure you: You will not have covered the towns of Israel before the Son of Man comes. But when they persecute you in this city, flee ye into another: for verily I say unto you, Ye shall not have gone over the cities of Israel, till the Son of man be come. “But whenever they persecute you in one city, flee to the next; for truly I say to you, you will not finish going through the cities of Israel until the Son of Man comes.
“A disciple is not above his teacher, nor a servant above his master. A disciple is not above his teacher, or a slave above his master. The disciple is not above his master, nor the servant above his lord. “A disciple is not above his teacher, nor a slave above his master.
It is enough for the disciple to be like his teacher, and the servant like his master. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebul, how much more will they malign those of his household. It is enough for a disciple to become like his teacher and a slave like his master. If they called the head of the house ‘Beelzebul,’ how much more the members of his household! It is enough for the disciple that he be as his master, and the servant as his lord. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebub, how much more shall they call them of his household? It is enough for the disciple that he may become like his teacher, and the slave like his master. If they have called the head of the house Beelzebul, how much more will they insult the members of his household!
“So have no fear of them, for nothing is covered that will not be revealed, or hidden that will not be known. “Therefore, don’t be afraid of them, since there is nothing covered that won’t be uncovered and nothing hidden that won’t be made known. Fear them not therefore: for there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; and hid, that shall not be known. “So do not fear them, for there is nothing concealed that will not be revealed, or hidden that will not be known.
What I tell you in the dark, say in the light, and what you hear whispered, proclaim on the housetops. What I tell you in the dark, speak in the light. What you hear in a whisper, proclaim on the housetops. What I tell you in darkness, that speak ye in light: and what ye hear in the ear, that preach ye upon the housetops. What I tell you in the darkness, tell in the light; and what you hear whispered in your ear, proclaim on the housetops.
And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather fear him who can destroy both soul and body in hell. Don’t fear those who kill the body but are not able to kill the soul; rather, fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. And do not be afraid of those who kill the body but are unable to kill the soul; but rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.
Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? And not one of them will fall to the ground apart from your Father. Aren’t two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them falls to the ground without your Father’s consent. Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father. Are two sparrows not sold for an assarion? And yet not one of them will fall to the ground apart from your Father.
But even the hairs of your head are all numbered. But even the hairs of your head have all been counted. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. But even the hairs of your head are all counted.
Fear not, therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows. So don’t be afraid therefore; you are worth more than many sparrows. Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows. So do not fear; you are more valuable than a great number of sparrows.
So everyone who acknowledges me before men, I also will acknowledge before my Father who is in heaven, “Therefore, everyone who will acknowledge Me before men, I will also acknowledge him before My Father in heaven. Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven. “Therefore, everyone who confesses Me before people, I will also confess him before My Father who is in heaven.
but whoever denies me before men, I also will deny before my Father who is in heaven. But whoever denies Me before men, I will also deny him before My Father in heaven. But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven. But whoever denies Me before people, I will also deny him before My Father who is in heaven.
“Do not think that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I have not come to bring peace, but a sword. Don’t assume that I came to bring peace on the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword. Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword. “Do not think that I came to bring peace on the earth; I did not come to bring peace, but a sword.
For I have come to set a man against his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law. For I came to turn a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law; For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law. For I came to TURN A MAN AGAINST HIS FATHER, AND A DAUGHTER AGAINST HER MOTHER, AND A DAUGHTER-IN-LAW AGAINST HER MOTHER-IN-LAW;
And a person’s enemies will be those of his own household. and a man’s enemies will be the members of his household. And a man's foes shall be they of his own household. and A PERSON’S ENEMIES WILL BE THE MEMBERS OF HIS HOUSEHOLD.
Whoever loves father or mother more than me is not worthy of me, and whoever loves son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. The person who loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me; the person who loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me. He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. “The one who loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me; and the one who loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me.
And whoever does not take his cross and follow me is not worthy of me. And whoever doesn’t take up his cross and follow Me is not worthy of Me. And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me. And the one who does not take his cross and follow after Me is not worthy of Me.
Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it. Anyone finding his life will lose it, and anyone losing his life because of Me will find it. He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it. The one who has found his life will lose it, and the one who has lost his life on My account will find it.
“Whoever receives you receives me, and whoever receives me receives him who sent me. “The one who welcomes you welcomes Me, and the one who welcomes Me welcomes Him who sent Me. He that receiveth you receiveth me, and he that receiveth me receiveth him that sent me. “The one who receives you receives Me, and the one who receives Me receives Him who sent Me.
The one who receives a prophet because he is a prophet will receive a prophet’s reward, and the one who receives a righteous person because he is a righteous person will receive a righteous person’s reward. Anyone who welcomes a prophet because he is a prophet will receive a prophet’s reward. And anyone who welcomes a righteous person because he’s righteous will receive a righteous person’s reward. He that receiveth a prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive a prophet's reward; and he that receiveth a righteous man in the name of a righteous man shall receive a righteous man's reward. The one who receives a prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive a prophet’s reward; and the one who receives a righteous person in the name of a righteous person shall receive a righteous person’s reward.
And whoever gives one of these little ones even a cup of cold water because he is a disciple, truly, I say to you, he will by no means lose his reward.” And whoever gives just a cup of cold water to one of these little ones because he is a disciple —I assure you: He will never lose his reward!” And whosoever shall give to drink unto one of these little ones a cup of cold water only in the name of a disciple, verily I say unto you, he shall in no wise lose his reward. And whoever gives one of these little ones just a cup of cold water to drink in the name of a disciple, truly I say to you, he shall by no means lose his reward.”
