1	And as he behelde, he sawe the rich men, which cast their giftes into the treasurie.	Jesus looked up and saw the rich putting their gifts into the offering box,	As Jesus looked up, he saw the rich putting their gifts into the temple treasury.
2	And he sawe also a certaine poore widowe which cast in thither two mites:	and he saw a poor widow put in two small copper coins.	He also saw a poor widow put in two very small copper coins.
3	And he sayd, Of a trueth I say vnto you, that this poore widowe hath cast in more then they all.	And he said, “Truly, I tell you, this poor widow has put in more than all of them.	“Truly I tell you,” he said, “this poor widow has put in more than all the others.
4	For they all haue of their superfluitie cast into the offerings of God: but she of her penurie hath cast in all the liuing that she had.	For they all contributed out of their abundance, but she out of her poverty put in all she had to live on.”	All these people gave their gifts out of their wealth; but she out of her poverty put in all she had to live on.”
5	Nowe as some spake of the Temple, how it was garnished with goodly stones, & with consecrate things, he sayd,	And while some were speaking of the temple, how it was adorned with noble stones and offerings, he said,	Some of his disciples were remarking about how the temple was adorned with beautiful stones and with gifts dedicated to God. But Jesus said,
6	Are these ye things that ye looke vpon? the dayes will come wherein a stone shall not be left vpon a stone, that shall not be throwen downe.	“As for these things that you see, the days will come when there will not be left here one stone upon another that will not be thrown down.”	“As for what you see here, the time will come when not one stone will be left on another; every one of them will be thrown down.”
7	Then they asked him, saying, Master, but when shall these things be? and what signe shall there be when these things shall come to passe?	And they asked him, “Teacher, when will these things be, and what will be the sign when these things are about to take place?”	“Teacher,” they asked, “when will these things happen? And what will be the sign that they are about to take place?”
8	And he sayd, Take heede, that ye be not deceiued: for many will come in my Name, saying, I am Christ, and the time draweth neere: followe ye not them therefore.	And he said, “See that you are not led astray. For many will come in my name, saying, ‘I am he!’ and, ‘The time is at hand!’ Do not go after them.	He replied: “Watch out that you are not deceived. For many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am he,’ and, ‘The time is near.’ Do not follow them.
9	And when ye heare of warres and seditions, be not afraid: for these things must first come, but the ende foloweth not by and by.	And when you hear of wars and tumults, do not be terrified, for these things must first take place, but the end will not be at once.”	When you hear of wars and uprisings, do not be frightened. These things must happen first, but the end will not come right away.”
10	Then said hee vnto them, Nation shall rise against nation, and kingdome against kingdome,	Then he said to them, “Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom.	Then he said to them: “Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom.
11	And great earthquakes shall be in diuers places, and hunger, and pestilence, and fearefull things, & great signes shall there be from heauen.	There will be great earthquakes, and in various places famines and pestilences. And there will be terrors and great signs from heaven.	There will be great earthquakes, famines and pestilences in various places, and fearful events and great signs from heaven.
12	But before all these, they shal lay their hands on you, and persecute you, deliuering you vp to the assemblies, and into prisons, and bring you before Kings and rulers for my Names sake.	But before all this they will lay their hands on you and persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues and prisons, and you will be brought before kings and governors for my name’s sake.	“But before all this, they will seize you and persecute you. They will hand you over to synagogues and put you in prison, and you will be brought before kings and governors, and all on account of my name.
13	And this shall turne to you, for a testimoniall.	This will be your opportunity to bear witness.	And so you will bear testimony to me.
14	Lay it vp therefore in your heartes, that ye cast not before hand, what ye shall answere.	Settle it therefore in your minds not to meditate beforehand how to answer,	But make up your mind not to worry beforehand how you will defend yourselves.
15	For I will giue you a mouth and wisdome, where against all your aduersaries shall not be able to speake, nor resist.	for I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which none of your adversaries will be able to withstand or contradict.	For I will give you words and wisdom that none of your adversaries will be able to resist or contradict.
16	Yea, ye shalbe betrayed also of your parents, and of your brethren, and kinsmen, and friendes, and some of you shall they put to death.	You will be delivered up even by parents and brothers and relatives and friends, and some of you they will put to death.	You will be betrayed even by parents, brothers and sisters, relatives and friends, and they will put some of you to death.
17	And ye shall bee hated of all men for my Names sake.	You will be hated by all for my name’s sake.	Everyone will hate you because of me.
18	Yet there shall not one heare of your heads perish.	But not a hair of your head will perish.	But not a hair of your head will perish.
19	By your patience possesse your soules.	By your endurance you will gain your lives.	Stand firm, and you will win life.
20	And when ye see Hierusalem besieged with souldiers, then vnderstand that the desolation thereof is neere.	“But when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then know that its desolation has come near.	“When you see Jerusalem being surrounded by armies, you will know that its desolation is near.
21	Then let them which are in Iudea, flee to the mountaines: and let them which are in the middes thereof, depart out: and let not them that are in the countrey, enter therein.	Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains, and let those who are inside the city depart, and let not those who are out in the country enter it,	Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains, let those in the city get out, and let those in the country not enter the city.
22	For these be the dayes of vengeance, to fulfill all things that are written.	for these are days of vengeance, to fulfill all that is written.	For this is the time of punishment in fulfillment of all that has been written.
23	But woe be to them that be with childe, and to them that giue sucke in those dayes: for there shalbe great distresse in this land, and wrath ouer this people.	Alas for women who are pregnant and for those who are nursing infants in those days! For there will be great distress upon the earth and wrath against this people.	How dreadful it will be in those days for pregnant women and nursing mothers! There will be great distress in the land and wrath against this people.
24	And they shall fall on the edge of the sword, and shalbe led captiue into all nations, and Hierusalem shalbe troden vnder foote of the Gentiles, vntill the time of the Gentiles be fulfilled.	They will fall by the edge of the sword and be led captive among all nations, and Jerusalem will be trampled underfoot by the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.	They will fall by the sword and will be taken as prisoners to all the nations. Jerusalem will be trampled on by the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.
25	Then there shalbe signes in the sunne, and in the moone, and in the starres, and vpon the earth trouble among the nations with perplexitie: the sea and the waters shall roare.	“And there will be signs in sun and moon and stars, and on the earth distress of nations in perplexity because of the roaring of the sea and the waves,	“There will be signs in the sun, moon and stars. On the earth, nations will be in anguish and perplexity at the roaring and tossing of the sea.
26	And mens hearts shal faile them for feare, and for looking after those thinges which shall come on the worlde: for the powers of heauen shall be shaken.	people fainting with fear and with foreboding of what is coming on the world. For the powers of the heavens will be shaken.	People will faint from terror, apprehensive of what is coming on the world, for the heavenly bodies will be shaken.
27	And then shall they see the Sonne of man come in a cloude, with power and great glory.	And then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.	At that time they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.
28	And when these things beginne to come to passe, then looke vp, and lift vp your heades: for your redemption draweth neere.	Now when these things begin to take place, straighten up and raise your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.”	When these things begin to take place, stand up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.”
29	And he spake to them a parable, Behold, the figge tree, and all trees,	And he told them a parable: “Look at the fig tree, and all the trees.	He told them this parable: “Look at the fig tree and all the trees.
30	When they nowe shoote foorth, ye seeing them, knowe of your owne selues, that sommer is then neere.	As soon as they come out in leaf, you see for yourselves and know that the summer is already near.	When they sprout leaves, you can see for yourselves and know that summer is near.
31	So likewise yee, when yee see these thinges come to passe, knowe ye that the kingdome of God is neere.	So also, when you see these things taking place, you know that the kingdom of God is near.	Even so, when you see these things happening, you know that the kingdom of God is near.
32	Verely I say vnto you, This age shall not passe, till all these things be done:	Truly, I say to you, this generation will not pass away until all has taken place.	“Truly I tell you, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened.
33	Heauen and earth shall passe away, but my wordes shall not passe away.	Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away.	Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.
34	Take heede to your selues, lest at any time your hearts be oppressed with surfeting and drunkennesse, and cares of this life, and least that day come on you at vnwares.	“But watch yourselves lest your hearts be weighed down with dissipation and drunkenness and cares of this life, and that day come upon you suddenly like a trap.	“Be careful, or your hearts will be weighed down with carousing, drunkenness and the anxieties of life, and that day will close on you suddenly like a trap.
35	For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth.	For it will come upon all who dwell on the face of the whole earth.	For it will come on all those who live on the face of the whole earth.
36	Watche therefore, and pray continually, that ye may be counted worthy to escape all these thinges that shall come to passe, and that ye may stand before the Sonne of man.	But stay awake at all times, praying that you may have strength to escape all these things that are going to take place, and to stand before the Son of Man.”	Be always on the watch, and pray that you may be able to escape all that is about to happen, and that you may be able to stand before the Son of Man.”
37	Nowe in the day time hee taught in the Temple, and at night hee went out, and abode in the mount that is called the mount of Oliues.	And every day he was teaching in the temple, but at night he went out and lodged on the mount called Olivet.	Each day Jesus was teaching at the temple, and each evening he went out to spend the night on the hill called the Mount of Olives,
38	And all the people came in the morning to him, to heare him in the Temple.	And early in the morning all the people came to him in the temple to hear him.	and all the people came early in the morning to hear him at the temple.
