NIVESVNASBKJVHCSB
Some time later Joseph was told, "Your father is ill." So he took his two sons Manasseh and Ephraim along with him.1After this, Joseph was told, “Behold, your father is ill.” So he took with him his two sons, Manasseh and Ephraim.1Now it came about after these things that Joseph was told, "Behold, your father is sick." So he took his two sons Manasseh and Ephraim with him.1And it came to pass after these things, that one told Joseph, Behold, thy father is sick: and he took with him his two sons, Manasseh and Ephraim.1Some time after this, Joseph was told, "Your father is weaker." So he set out with his two sons, Manasseh and Ephraim.
When Jacob was told, "Your son Joseph has come to you," Israel rallied his strength and sat up on the bed.2And it was told to Jacob, “Your son Joseph has come to you.” Then Israel summoned his strength and sat up in bed.2When it was told to Jacob, "Behold, your son Joseph has come to you," Israel collected his strength and sat up in the bed.2And one told Jacob, and said, Behold, thy son Joseph cometh unto thee: and Israel strengthened himself, and sat upon the bed.2When Jacob was told, "Your son Joseph has come to you," Israel summoned his strength and sat up in bed.
Jacob said to Joseph, "God Almighty appeared to me at Luz in the land of Canaan, and there he blessed me3And Jacob said to Joseph, “God Almighty appeared to me at Luz in the land of Canaan and blessed me,3Then Jacob said to Joseph, "God Almighty appeared to me at Luz in the land of Canaan and blessed me,3And Jacob said unto Joseph, God Almighty appeared unto me at Luz in the land of Canaan, and blessed me,3Jacob said to Joseph, "God Almighty appeared to me at Luz in the land of Canaan and blessed me.
and said to me, 'I am going to make you fruitful and increase your numbers. I will make you a community of peoples, and I will give this land as an everlasting possession to your descendants after you.'4and said to me, ‘Behold, I will make you fruitful and multiply you, and I will make of you a company of peoples and will give this land to your offspring after you for an everlasting possession.’4and He said to me, 'Behold, I will make you fruitful and numerous, and I will make you a company of peoples, and will give this land to your descendants after you for an everlasting possession.'4And said unto me, Behold, I will make thee fruitful, and multiply thee, and I will make of thee a multitude of people; and will give this land to thy seed after thee for an everlasting possession.4He said to me, 'I will make you fruitful and numerous; I will make many nations come from you, and I will give this land as an eternal possession to your future descendants.'

"Now then, your two sons born to you in Egypt before I came to you here will be reckoned as mine; Ephraim and Manasseh will be mine, just as Reuben and Simeon are mine.5And now your two sons, who were born to you in the land of Egypt before I came to you in Egypt, are mine; Ephraim and Manasseh shall be mine, as Reuben and Simeon are.5"Now your two sons, who were born to you in the land of Egypt before I came to you in Egypt, are mine; Ephraim and Manasseh shall be mine, as Reuben and Simeon are.5And now thy two sons, Ephraim and Manasseh, which were born unto thee in the land of Egypt before I came unto thee into Egypt, are mine; as Reuben and Simeon, they shall be mine.5Your two sons born to you in the land of Egypt before I came to you in Egypt are now mine. Ephraim and Manasseh belong to me just as Reuben and Simeon do.
Any children born to you after them will be yours; in the territory they inherit they will be reckoned under the names of their brothers.6And the children that you fathered after them shall be yours. They shall be called by the name of their brothers in their inheritance.6"But your offspring that have been born after them shall be yours; they shall be called by the names of their brothers in their inheritance.6And thy issue, which thou begettest after them, shall be thine, and shall be called after the name of their brethren in their inheritance.6Children born to you after them will be yours and will be recorded under the names of their brothers with regard to their inheritance.
As I was returning from Paddan, to my sorrow Rachel died in the land of Canaan while we were still on the way, a little distance from Ephrath. So I buried her there beside the road to Ephrath" (that is, Bethlehem).7As for me, when I came from Paddan, to my sorrow Rachel died in the land of Canaan on the way, when there was still some distance to go to Ephrath, and I buried her there on the way to Ephrath (that is, Bethlehem).”7"Now as for me, when I came from Paddan, Rachel died, to my sorrow, in the land of Canaan on the journey, when there was still some distance to go to Ephrath; and I buried her there on the way to Ephrath (that is, Bethlehem)."7And as for me, when I came from Padan, Rachel died by me in the land of Canaan in the way, when yet there was but a little way to come unto Ephrath: and I buried her there in the way of Ephrath; the same is Bethlehem.7When I was returning from Paddan, to my sorrow Rachel died along the way, some distance from Ephrath in the land of Canaan. I buried her there along the way to Ephrath," (that is, Bethlehem).
When Israel saw the sons of Joseph, he asked, "Who are these?"8When Israel saw Joseph’s sons, he said, “Who are these?”8When Israel saw Joseph's sons, he said, "Who are these?"8And Israel beheld Joseph's sons, and said, Who are these?8When Israel saw Joseph's sons, he said, "Who are these?"
"They are the sons God has given me here," Joseph said to his father. Then Israel said, "Bring them to me so I may bless them."9Joseph said to his father, “They are my sons, whom God has given me here.” And he said, “Bring them to me, please, that I may bless them.”9Joseph said to his father, "They are my sons, whom God has given me here." So he said, "Bring them to me, please, that I may bless them."9And Joseph said unto his father, They are my sons, whom God hath given me in this place. And he said, Bring them, I pray thee, unto me, and I will bless them.9And Joseph said to his father, "They are my sons God has given me here." So Jacob said, "Bring them to me and I will bless them."

Now Israel's eyes were failing because of old age, and he could hardly see. So Joseph brought his sons close to him, and his father kissed them and embraced them.10Now the eyes of Israel were dim with age, so that he could not see. So Joseph brought them near him, and he kissed them and embraced them.10Now the eyes of Israel were so dim from age that he could not see. Then Joseph brought them close to him, and he kissed them and embraced them.10Now the eyes of Israel were dim for age, so that he could not see. And he brought them near unto him; and he kissed them, and embraced them.10Now his eyesight was poor because of old age; he could hardly see. Joseph brought them to him, and he kissed and embraced them.
Israel said to Joseph, "I never expected to see your face again, and now God has allowed me to see your children too."11And Israel said to Joseph, “I never expected to see your face; and behold, God has let me see your offspring also.”11Israel said to Joseph, "I never expected to see your face, and behold, God has let me see your children as well."11And Israel said unto Joseph, I had not thought to see thy face: and, lo, God hath shewed me also thy seed.11Israel said to Joseph, "I never expected to see your face again, but now God has even let me see your offspring."
Then Joseph removed them from Israel's knees and bowed down with his face to the ground.12Then Joseph removed them from his knees, and he bowed himself with his face to the earth.12Then Joseph took them from his knees, and bowed with his face to the ground.12And Joseph brought them out from between his knees, and he bowed himself with his face to the earth.12Then Joseph took them from his father's knees and bowed with his face to the ground.
And Joseph took both of them, Ephraim on his right toward Israel's left hand and Manasseh on his left toward Israel's right hand, and brought them close to him.13And Joseph took them both, Ephraim in his right hand toward Israel’s left hand, and Manasseh in his left hand toward Israel’s right hand, and brought them near him.13Joseph took them both, Ephraim with his right hand toward Israel's left, and Manasseh with his left hand toward Israel's right, and brought them close to him.13And Joseph took them both, Ephraim in his right hand toward Israel's left hand, and Manasseh in his left hand toward Israel's right hand, and brought them near unto him.13Then Joseph took them both--with his right hand Ephraim toward Israel's left, and with his left hand Manasseh toward Israel's right--and brought them to Israel.
But Israel reached out his right hand and put it on Ephraim's head, though he was the younger, and crossing his arms, he put his left hand on Manasseh's head, even though Manasseh was the firstborn.14And Israel stretched out his right hand and laid it on the head of Ephraim, who was the younger, and his left hand on the head of Manasseh, crossing his hands (for Manasseh was the firstborn).14But Israel stretched out his right hand and laid it on the head of Ephraim, who was the younger, and his left hand on Manasseh's head, crossing his hands, although Manasseh was the firstborn.14And Israel stretched out his right hand, and laid it upon Ephraim's head, who was the younger, and his left hand upon Manasseh's head, guiding his hands wittingly; for Manasseh was the firstborn.14But Israel stretched out his right hand and put it on the head of Ephraim, the younger, and crossing his hands, put his left on Manasseh's head, although Manasseh was the firstborn.

Then he blessed Joseph and said, "May the God before whom my fathers Abraham and Isaac walked faithfully, the God who has been my shepherd all my life to this day,15And he blessed Joseph and said, “The God before whom my fathers Abraham and Isaac walked, the God who has been my shepherd all my life long to this day,15He blessed Joseph, and said, "The God before whom my fathers Abraham and Isaac walked, The God who has been my shepherd all my life to this day,15And he blessed Joseph, and said, God, before whom my fathers Abraham and Isaac did walk, the God which fed me all my life long unto this day,15Then he blessed Joseph and said: The God before whom my fathers Abraham and Isaac walked, the God who has been my shepherd all my life to this day,
the Angel who has delivered me from all harm --may he bless these boys. May they be called by my name and the names of my fathers Abraham and Isaac, and may they increase greatly on the earth."16the angel who has redeemed me from all evil, bless the boys; and in them let my name be carried on, and the name of my fathers Abraham and Isaac; and let them grow into a multitude in the midst of the earth.”16The angel who has redeemed me from all evil, Bless the lads; And may my name live on in them, And the names of my fathers Abraham and Isaac; And may they grow into a multitude in the midst of the earth."16The Angel which redeemed me from all evil, bless the lads; and let my name be named on them, and the name of my fathers Abraham and Isaac; and let them grow into a multitude in the midst of the earth.16the Angel who has redeemed me from all harm-- may He bless these boys. And may they be called by my name and the names of my fathers Abraham and Isaac, and may they grow to be numerous within the land.
When Joseph saw his father placing his right hand on Ephraim's head he was displeased; so he took hold of his father's hand to move it from Ephraim's head to Manasseh's head.17When Joseph saw that his father laid his right hand on the head of Ephraim, it displeased him, and he took his father’s hand to move it from Ephraim’s head to Manasseh’s head.17When Joseph saw that his father laid his right hand on Ephraim's head, it displeased him; and he grasped his father's hand to remove it from Ephraim's head to Manasseh's head.17And when Joseph saw that his father laid his right hand upon the head of Ephraim, it displeased him: and he held up his father's hand, to remove it from Ephraim's head unto Manasseh's head.17When Joseph saw that his father had placed his right hand on Ephraim's head, he thought it was a mistake and took his father's hand to move it from Ephraim's head to Manasseh's.
Joseph said to him, "No, my father, this one is the firstborn; put your right hand on his head."18And Joseph said to his father, “Not this way, my father; since this one is the firstborn, put your right hand on his head.”18Joseph said to his father, "Not so, my father, for this one is the firstborn. Place your right hand on his head."18And Joseph said unto his father, Not so, my father: for this is the firstborn; put thy right hand upon his head.18Joseph said to his father, "Not that way, my father! This one is the firstborn. Put your right hand on his head."
But his father refused and said, "I know, my son, I know. He too will become a people, and he too will become great. Nevertheless, his younger brother will be greater than he, and his descendants will become a group of nations."19But his father refused and said, “I know, my son, I know. He also shall become a people, and he also shall be great. Nevertheless, his younger brother shall be greater than he, and his offspring shall become a multitude of nations.”19But his father refused and said, "I know, my son, I know; he also will become a people and he also will be great. However, his younger brother shall be greater than he, and his descendants shall become a multitude of nations."19And his father refused, and said, I know it, my son, I know it: he also shall become a people, and he also shall be great: but truly his younger brother shall be greater than he, and his seed shall become a multitude of nations.19But his father refused and said, "I know, my son, I know! He too will become a tribe, and he too will be great; nevertheless, his younger brother will be greater than he, and his offspring will become a populous nation."

He blessed them that day and said, "In your name will Israel pronounce this blessing: 'May God make you like Ephraim and Manasseh.'" So he put Ephraim ahead of Manasseh.20So he blessed them that day, saying, “By you Israel will pronounce blessings, saying, ‘God make you as Ephraim and as Manasseh.’” Thus he put Ephraim before Manasseh.20He blessed them that day, saying, "By you Israel will pronounce blessing, saying, 'May God make you like Ephraim and Manasseh!'" Thus he put Ephraim before Manasseh.20And he blessed them that day, saying, In thee shall Israel bless, saying, God make thee as Ephraim and as Manasseh: and he set Ephraim before Manasseh.20So he blessed them that day with these words: The nation Israel will invoke blessings by you, saying," May God make you like Ephraim and Manasseh," putting Ephraim before Manasseh.
Then Israel said to Joseph, "I am about to die, but God will be with you and take you back to the land of your fathers.21Then Israel said to Joseph, “Behold, I am about to die, but God will be with you and will bring you again to the land of your fathers.21Then Israel said to Joseph, "Behold, I am about to die, but God will be with you, and bring you back to the land of your fathers.21And Israel said unto Joseph, Behold, I die: but God shall be with you, and bring you again unto the land of your fathers.21Then Israel said to Joseph, "Look, I am about to die, but God will be with you and will bring you back to the land of your fathers.
And to you I give one more ridge of land than to your brothers, the ridge I took from the Amorites with my sword and my bow."22Moreover, I have given to you rather than to your brothers one mountain slope that I took from the hand of the Amorites with my sword and with my bow.”22"I give you one portion more than your brothers, which I took from the hand of the Amorite with my sword and my bow."22Moreover I have given to thee one portion above thy brethren, which I took out of the hand of the Amorite with my sword and with my bow.22Over and above what I am giving your brothers, I am giving you the one mountain slope that I took from the hand of the Amorites with my sword and bow."
