He came with myriads of holy ones from the south, from his mountain slopes. | 2He said, “The LORD came from Sinai and dawned from Seir upon us; he shone forth from Mount Paran; he came from the ten thousands of holy ones, with flaming fire at his right hand. | 2He said, "The LORD came from Sinai, And dawned on them from Seir; He shone forth from Mount Paran, And He came from the midst of ten thousand holy ones; At His right hand there was flashing lightning for them. | 2And he said, The LORD came from Sinai, and rose up from Seir unto them; he shined forth from mount Paran, and he came with ten thousands of saints: from his right hand went a fiery law for them. | 2He said: The LORD came from Sinai and appeared to them from Seir; He shone on them from Mount Paran and came with ten thousand holy ones, with lightning from His right hand for them. |
3Surely it is you who love the people; all the holy ones are in your hand. At your feet they all bow down, and from you receive instruction, | 3Yes, he loved his people, all his holy ones were in his hand; so they followed in your steps, receiving direction from you, | 3"Indeed, He loves the people; All Your holy ones are in Your hand, And they followed in Your steps; Everyone receives of Your words. | 3Yea, he loved the people; all his saints are in thy hand: and they sat down at thy feet; every one shall receive of thy words. | 3Indeed He loves the people. 4the law that Moses gave us, the possession of the assembly of Jacob. | 4when Moses commanded us a law, as a possession for the assembly of Jacob. | 4"Moses charged us with a law, A possession for the assembly of Jacob. | 4Moses commanded us a law, even the inheritance of the congregation of Jacob. | 4Moses gave us instruction, a possession for the assembly of Jacob. |

8About Levi he said: "Your Thummim and Urim belong to your faithful servant. You tested him at Massah; you contended with him at the waters of Meribah. | 8And of Levi he said, “Give to Levi your Thummim, and your Urim to your godly one, whom you tested at Massah, with whom you quarreled at the waters of Meribah; | 8Of Levi he said, "Let Your Thummim and Your Urim belong to Your godly man, Whom You proved at Massah, With whom You contended at the waters of Meribah; | 8And of Levi he said, Let thy Thummim and thy Urim be with thy holy one, whom thou didst prove at Massah, and with whom thou didst strive at the waters of Meribah; | 8He said about Levi: Your Thummim and Urim belong to Your faithful one; You tested him at Massah and contended with him at the waters of Meribah. |
9He said of his father and mother, 'I have no regard for them.' He did not recognize his brothers or acknowledge his own children, but he watched over your word and guarded your covenant. | 9who said of his father and mother, ‘I regard them not’; he disowned his brothers and ignored his children. For they observed your word and kept your covenant. | 9Who said of his father and his mother, 'I did not consider them'; And he did not acknowledge his brothers, Nor did he regard his own sons, For they observed Your word, And kept Your covenant. | 9Who said unto his father and to his mother, I have not seen him; neither did he acknowledge his brethren, nor knew his own children: for they have observed thy word, and kept thy covenant. | 9He said about his father and mother," I do not regard them." He disregarded his brothers and didn't acknowledge his sons, for they kept Your word and maintained Your covenant. |
10He teaches your precepts to Jacob and your law to Israel. He offers incense before you and whole burnt offerings on your altar. | 10They shall teach Jacob your rules and Israel your law; they shall put incense before you and whole burnt offerings on your altar. | 10"They shall teach Your ordinances to Jacob, And Your law to Israel. They shall put incense before You, And whole burnt offerings on Your altar. | 10They shall teach Jacob thy judgments, and Israel thy law: they shall put incense before thee, and whole burnt sacrifice upon thine altar. | 10They will teach Your ordinances to Jacob and Your instruction to Israel; they will set incense before You and whole burnt offerings on Your altar. |
11Bless all his skills, LORD, and be pleased with the work of his hands. Strike down those who rise against him, his foes till they rise no more." | 11Bless, O LORD, his substance, and accept the work of his hands; crush the loins of his adversaries, of those who hate him, that they rise not again.” | 11"O LORD, bless his substance, And accept the work of his hands; Shatter the loins of those who rise up against him, And those who hate him, so that they will not rise again." | 11Bless, LORD, his substance, and accept the work of his hands: smite through the loins of them that rise against him, and of them that hate him, that they rise not again. | 11 LORD, bless his possessions, and accept the work of his hands. 12About Benjamin he said: "Let the beloved of the LORD rest secure in him, for he shields him all day long, and the one the LORD loves rests between his shoulders." | 12Of Benjamin he said, “The beloved of the LORD dwells in safety. The High God surrounds him all day long, and dwells between his shoulders.” | 12Of Benjamin he said, "May the beloved of the LORD dwell in security by Him, Who shields him all the day, And he dwells between His shoulders." | 12And of Benjamin he said, The beloved of the LORD shall dwell in safety by him; and the LORD shall cover him all the day long, and he shall dwell between his shoulders. | 12He said about Benjamin: The LORD's beloved rests securely on Him. 13About Joseph he said: "May the LORD bless his land with the precious dew from heaven above and with the deep waters that lie below; | 13And of Joseph he said, “Blessed by the LORD be his land, with the choicest gifts of heaven above, and of the deep that crouches beneath, | 13Of Joseph he said, "Blessed of the LORD be his land, With the choice things of heaven, with the dew, And from the deep lying beneath, | 13And of Joseph he said, Blessed of the LORD be his land, for the precious things of heaven, for the dew, and for the deep that coucheth beneath, | 13He said about Joseph: May his land be blessed by the LORD with the dew of heaven's bounty and the watery depths that lie beneath; |
14with the best the sun brings forth and the finest the moon can yield; | 14with the choicest fruits of the sun and the rich yield of the months, | 14And with the choice yield of the sun, And with the choice produce of the months. | 14And for the precious fruits brought forth by the sun, and for the precious things put forth by the moon, | 14with the bountiful harvest from the sun and the abundant yield of the seasons; |
15with the choicest gifts of the ancient mountains and the fruitfulness of the everlasting hills; | 15with the finest produce of the ancient mountains and the abundance of the everlasting hills, | 15"And with the best things of the ancient mountains, And with the choice things of the everlasting hills, | 15And for the chief things of the ancient mountains, and for the precious things of the lasting hills, | 15with the best products of the ancient mountains and the bounty of the eternal hills; |
16with the best gifts of the earth and its fullness and the favor of him who dwelt in the burning bush. Let all these rest on the head of Joseph, on the brow of the prince among his brothers. | 16with the best gifts of the earth and its fullness and the favor of him who dwells in the bush. May these rest on the head of Joseph, on the pate of him who is prince among his brothers. | 16And with the choice things of the earth and its fullness, And the favor of Him who dwelt in the bush. Such are the ten thousands of Ephraim; such are the thousands of Manasseh." | 17A firstborn bull—he has majesty, and his horns are the horns of a wild ox; with them he shall gore the peoples, all of them, to the ends of the earth; they are the ten thousands of Ephraim, and they are the thousands of Manasseh.” | 17"As the firstborn of his ox, majesty is his, And his horns are the horns of the wild ox; With them he will push the peoples, All at once, to the ends of the earth. 19They will summon peoples to the mountain and there offer the sacrifices of the righteous; they will feast on the abundance of the seas, on the treasures hidden in the sand." | 19They shall call peoples to their mountain; there they offer right sacrifices; for they draw from the abundance of the seas and the hidden treasures of the sand.” | 19"They will call peoples to the mountain; There they will offer righteous sacrifices; For they will draw out the abundance of the seas, And the hidden treasures of the sand." | 19They shall call the people unto the mountain; there they shall offer sacrifices of righteousness: for they shall suck of the abundance of the seas, and of treasures hid in the sand. | 19They summon the peoples to a mountain; there they offer acceptable sacrifices. 20About Gad he said: "Blessed is he who enlarges Gad's domain! Gad lives there like a lion, tearing at arm or head. | 20And of Gad he said, “Blessed be he who enlarges Gad! Gad crouches like a lion; he tears off arm and scalp. | 20Of Gad he said, "Blessed is the one who enlarges Gad; He lies down as a lion, And tears the arm, also the crown of the head. | 20And of Gad he said, Blessed be he that enlargeth Gad: he dwelleth as a lion, and teareth the arm with the crown of the head. | 20He said about Gad: The one who enlarges Gad's territory will be blessed. He lies down like a lion and tears off an arm or even a head. |
21He chose the best land for himself; the leader's portion was kept for him. When the heads of the people assembled, he carried out the LORD's righteous will, and his judgments concerning Israel." | 21He chose the best of the land for himself, for there a commander’s portion was reserved; and he came with the heads of the people, with Israel he executed the justice of the LORD, and his judgments for Israel.” | 21"Then he provided the first part for himself, For there the ruler's portion was reserved; And he came with the leaders of the people; He executed the justice of the LORD, And His ordinances with Israel." | 21And he provided the first part for himself, because there, in a portion of the lawgiver, was he seated; and he came with the heads of the people, he executed the justice of the LORD, and his judgments with Israel. | 21He chose the best part for himself, because a ruler's portion was assigned there for him. He came with the leaders of the people; he carried out the LORD's justice and His ordinances for Israel. |
22About Dan he said: "Dan is a lion's cub, springing out of Bashan." | 22And of Dan he said, “Dan is a lion’s cub that leaps from Bashan.” | 22Of Dan he said, "Dan is a lion's whelp, That leaps forth from Bashan." | 22And of Dan he said, Dan is a lion's whelp: he shall leap from Bashan. | 22He said about Dan: Dan is a young lion, leaping out of Bashan. |
23About Naphtali he said: "Naphtali is abounding with the favor of the LORD and is full of his blessing; he will inherit southward to the lake." | 23And of Naphtali he said, “O Naphtali, sated with favor, and full of the blessing of the LORD, possess the lake and the south.” | 23Of Naphtali he said, "O Naphtali, satisfied with favor, And full of the blessing of the LORD, Take possession of the sea and the south." | 23And of Naphtali he said, O Naphtali, satisfied with favour, and full with the blessing of the LORD: possess thou the west and the south. | 23He said about Naphtali: Naphtali, enjoying approval, full of the LORD's blessing, take possession to the west and the south. |
24About Asher he said: "Most blessed of sons is Asher; let him be favored by his brothers, and let him bathe his feet in oil. | 24And of Asher he said, “Most blessed of sons be Asher; let him be the favorite of his brothers, and let him dip his foot in oil. | 24Of Asher he said, "More blessed than sons is Asher; May he be favored by his brothers, And may he dip his foot in oil. | 24And of Asher he said, Let Asher be blessed with children; let him be acceptable to his brethren, and let him dip his foot in oil. | 24He said about Asher: May Asher be the most blessed of the sons; may he be the most favored among his brothers and dip his foot in olive oil. |
25The bolts of your gates will be iron and bronze, and your strength will equal your days. | 25Your bars shall be iron and bronze, and as your days, so shall your strength be. | 25"Your locks will be iron and bronze, And according to your days, so will your leisurely walk be. | 25Thy shoes shall be iron and brass; and as thy days, so shall thy strength be. | 25May the bolts of your gate be iron and bronze, and your strength last as long as you live. |
The Excellence of Israel 26"There is no one like the God of Jeshurun, who rides across the heavens to help you and on the clouds in his majesty. | 26“There is none like God, O Jeshurun, who rides through the heavens to your help, through the skies in his majesty. | 26"There is none like the God of Jeshurun, Who rides the heavens to your help, And through the skies in His majesty. | 26There is none like unto the God of Jeshurun, who rideth upon the heaven in thy help, and in his excellency on the sky. | 26There is none like the God of Jeshurun, who rides the heavens to your aid, the clouds in His majesty. |
27The eternal God is your refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms. He will drive out your enemies before you, saying, 'Destroy them!' | 27The eternal God is your dwelling place, and underneath are the everlasting arms. And he thrust out the enemy before you and said, ‘Destroy.’ | 27"The eternal God is a dwelling place, And underneath are the everlasting arms; And He drove out the enemy from before you, And said, 'Destroy!' | 27The eternal God is thy refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms: and he shall thrust out the enemy from before thee; and shall say, Destroy them. | 27The God of old is your dwelling place, and underneath are the everlasting arms. Who is like you, a people saved by the LORD, the shield of your help, and the sword of your triumph!
