NKJV Parallel NIV [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
New King James VersionNew International Version
“And this is what you shall do to them to hallow them for ministering to Me as priests: Take one young bull and two rams without blemish,1"This is what you are to do to consecrate them, so they may serve me as priests: Take a young bull and two rams without defect.
and unleavened bread, unleavened cakes mixed with oil, and unleavened wafers anointed with oil (you shall make them of wheat flour).2And from the finest wheat flour make round loaves without yeast, thick loaves without yeast and with olive oil mixed in, and thin loaves without yeast and brushed with olive oil.
You shall put them in one basket and bring them in the basket, with the bull and the two rams.3Put them in a basket and present them along with the bull and the two rams.
“And Aaron and his sons you shall bring to the door of the tabernacle of meeting, and you shall wash them with water.4Then bring Aaron and his sons to the entrance to the tent of meeting and wash them with water.
Then you shall take the garments, put the tunic on Aaron, and the robe of the ephod, the ephod, and the breastplate, and gird him with the intricately woven band of the ephod.5Take the garments and dress Aaron with the tunic, the robe of the ephod, the ephod itself and the breastpiece. Fasten the ephod on him by its skillfully woven waistband.
You shall put the turban on his head, and put the holy crown on the turban.6Put the turban on his head and attach the sacred emblem to the turban.
And you shall take the anointing oil, pour it on his head, and anoint him.7Take the anointing oil and anoint him by pouring it on his head.
Then you shall bring his sons and put tunics on them.8Bring his sons and dress them in tunics
And you shall gird them with sashes, Aaron and his sons, and put the hats on them. The priesthood shall be theirs for a perpetual statute. So you shall consecrate Aaron and his sons.9and fasten caps on them. Then tie sashes on Aaron and his sons. The priesthood is theirs by a lasting ordinance. "Then you shall ordain Aaron and his sons.
“You shall also have the bull brought before the tabernacle of meeting, and Aaron and his sons shall put their hands on the head of the bull.10"Bring the bull to the front of the tent of meeting, and Aaron and his sons shall lay their hands on its head.
Then you shall kill the bull before the LORD, by the door of the tabernacle of meeting.11Slaughter it in the LORD's presence at the entrance to the tent of meeting.
You shall take some of the blood of the bull and put it on the horns of the altar with your finger, and pour all the blood beside the base of the altar.12Take some of the bull's blood and put it on the horns of the altar with your finger, and pour out the rest of it at the base of the altar.
And you shall take all the fat that covers the entrails, the fatty lobe attached to the liver, and the two kidneys and the fat that is on them, and burn them on the altar.13Then take all the fat on the internal organs, the long lobe of the liver, and both kidneys with the fat on them, and burn them on the altar.
But the flesh of the bull, with its skin and its offal, you shall burn with fire outside the camp. It is a sin offering.14But burn the bull's flesh and its hide and its intestines outside the camp. It is a sin offering.
“You shall also take one ram, and Aaron and his sons shall put their hands on the head of the ram;15"Take one of the rams, and Aaron and his sons shall lay their hands on its head.
and you shall kill the ram, and you shall take its blood and sprinkle it all around on the altar.16Slaughter it and take the blood and splash it against the sides of the altar.
Then you shall cut the ram in pieces, wash its entrails and its legs, and put them with its pieces and with its head.17Cut the ram into pieces and wash the internal organs and the legs, putting them with the head and the other pieces.
And you shall burn the whole ram on the altar. It is a burnt offering to the LORD; it is a sweet aroma, an offering made by fire to the LORD.18Then burn the entire ram on the altar. It is a burnt offering to the LORD, a pleasing aroma, a food offering presented to the LORD.
“You shall also take the other ram, and Aaron and his sons shall put their hands on the head of the ram.19"Take the other ram, and Aaron and his sons shall lay their hands on its head.
Then you shall kill the ram, and take some of its blood and put it on the tip of the right ear of Aaron and on the tip of the right ear of his sons, on the thumb of their right hand and on the big toe of their right foot, and sprinkle the blood all around on the altar.20Slaughter it, take some of its blood and put it on the lobes of the right ears of Aaron and his sons, on the thumbs of their right hands, and on the big toes of their right feet. Then splash blood against the sides of the altar.
And you shall take some of the blood that is on the altar, and some of the anointing oil, and sprinkle it on Aaron and on his garments, on his sons and on the garments of his sons with him; and he and his garments shall be hallowed, and his sons and his sons’ garments with him.21And take some blood from the altar and some of the anointing oil and sprinkle it on Aaron and his garments and on his sons and their garments. Then he and his sons and their garments will be consecrated.
“Also you shall take the fat of the ram, the fat tail, the fat that covers the entrails, the fatty lobe attached to the liver, the two kidneys and the fat on them, the right thigh (for it is a ram of consecration),22"Take from this ram the fat, the fat tail, the fat on the internal organs, the long lobe of the liver, both kidneys with the fat on them, and the right thigh. (This is the ram for the ordination.)
one loaf of bread, one cake made with oil, and one wafer from the basket of the unleavened bread that is before the LORD;23From the basket of bread made without yeast, which is before the LORD, take one round loaf, one thick loaf with olive oil mixed in, and one thin loaf.
and you shall put all these in the hands of Aaron and in the hands of his sons, and you shall wave them as a wave offering before the LORD.24Put all these in the hands of Aaron and his sons and have them wave them before the LORD as a wave offering.
You shall receive them back from their hands and burn them on the altar as a burnt offering, as a sweet aroma before the LORD. It is an offering made by fire to the LORD.25Then take them from their hands and burn them on the altar along with the burnt offering for a pleasing aroma to the LORD, a food offering presented to the LORD.
“Then you shall take the breast of the ram of Aaron’s consecration and wave it as a wave offering before the LORD; and it shall be your portion.26After you take the breast of the ram for Aaron's ordination, wave it before the LORD as a wave offering, and it will be your share.
And from the ram of the consecration you shall consecrate the breast of the wave offering which is waved, and the thigh of the heave offering which is raised, of that which is for Aaron and of that which is for his sons.27"Consecrate those parts of the ordination ram that belong to Aaron and his sons: the breast that was waved and the thigh that was presented.
It shall be from the children of Israel for Aaron and his sons by a statute forever. For it is a heave offering; it shall be a heave offering from the children of Israel from the sacrifices of their peace offerings, that is, their heave offering to the LORD.28This is always to be the perpetual share from the Israelites for Aaron and his sons. It is the contribution the Israelites are to make to the LORD from their fellowship offerings.
“And the holy garments of Aaron shall be his sons’ after him, to be anointed in them and to be consecrated in them.29"Aaron's sacred garments will belong to his descendants so that they can be anointed and ordained in them.
That son who becomes priest in his place shall put them on for seven days, when he enters the tabernacle of meeting to minister in the holy place.30The son who succeeds him as priest and comes to the tent of meeting to minister in the Holy Place is to wear them seven days.
“And you shall take the ram of the consecration and boil its flesh in the holy place.31"Take the ram for the ordination and cook the meat in a sacred place.
Then Aaron and his sons shall eat the flesh of the ram, and the bread that is in the basket, by the door of the tabernacle of meeting.32At the entrance to the tent of meeting, Aaron and his sons are to eat the meat of the ram and the bread that is in the basket.
They shall eat those things with which the atonement was made, to consecrate and to sanctify them; but an outsider shall not eat them, because they are holy.33They are to eat these offerings by which atonement was made for their ordination and consecration. But no one else may eat them, because they are sacred.
And if any of the flesh of the consecration offerings, or of the bread, remains until the morning, then you shall burn the remainder with fire. It shall not be eaten, because it is holy.34And if any of the meat of the ordination ram or any bread is left over till morning, burn it up. It must not be eaten, because it is sacred.
“Thus you shall do to Aaron and his sons, according to all that I have commanded you. Seven days you shall consecrate them.35"Do for Aaron and his sons everything I have commanded you, taking seven days to ordain them.
And you shall offer a bull every day as a sin offering for atonement. You shall cleanse the altar when you make atonement for it, and you shall anoint it to sanctify it.36Sacrifice a bull each day as a sin offering to make atonement. Purify the altar by making atonement for it, and anoint it to consecrate it.
Seven days you shall make atonement for the altar and sanctify it. And the altar shall be most holy. Whatever touches the altar must be holy.37For seven days make atonement for the altar and consecrate it. Then the altar will be most holy, and whatever touches it will be holy.
“Now this is what you shall offer on the altar: two lambs of the first year, day by day continually.38"This is what you are to offer on the altar regularly each day: two lambs a year old.
One lamb you shall offer in the morning, and the other lamb you shall offer at twilight.39Offer one in the morning and the other at twilight.
With the one lamb shall be one-tenth of an ephah of flour mixed with one-fourth of a hin of pressed oil, and one-fourth of a hin of wine as a drink offering.40With the first lamb offer a tenth of an ephah of the finest flour mixed with a quarter of a hin of oil from pressed olives, and a quarter of a hin of wine as a drink offering.
And the other lamb you shall offer at twilight; and you shall offer with it the grain offering and the drink offering, as in the morning, for a sweet aroma, an offering made by fire to the LORD.41Sacrifice the other lamb at twilight with the same grain offering and its drink offering as in the morning--a pleasing aroma, a food offering presented to the LORD.
This shall be a continual burnt offering throughout your generations at the door of the tabernacle of meeting before the LORD, where I will meet you to speak with you.42"For the generations to come this burnt offering is to be made regularly at the entrance to the tent of meeting, before the LORD. There I will meet you and speak to you;
And there I will meet with the children of Israel, and the tabernacle shall be sanctified by My glory.43there also I will meet with the Israelites, and the place will be consecrated by my glory.
So I will consecrate the tabernacle of meeting and the altar. I will also consecrate both Aaron and his sons to minister to Me as priests.44"So I will consecrate the tent of meeting and the altar and will consecrate Aaron and his sons to serve me as priests.
I will dwell among the children of Israel and will be their God.45Then I will dwell among the Israelites and be their God.
And they shall know that I am the LORD their God, who brought them up out of the land of Egypt, that I may dwell among them. I am the LORD their God.46They will know that I am the LORD their God, who brought them out of Egypt so that I might dwell among them. I am the LORD their God.
