Now these are the records of the generations of Shem, Ham, and Japheth, the sons of Noah; and sons were born to them after the flood.1This is the account of the families of Shem, Ham, and Japheth, the three sons of Noah. Many children were born to them after the great flood. Descendants of Japheth
The sons of Japheth were Gomer and Magog and Madai and Javan and Tubal and Meshech and Tiras.2The descendants of Japheth were Gomer, Magog, Madai, Javan, Tubal, Meshech, and Tiras.
The sons of Gomer were Ashkenaz and Riphath and Togarmah.3The descendants of Gomer were Ashkenaz, Riphath, and Togarmah.

From these the coastlands of the nations were separated into their lands, every one according to his language, according to their families, into their nations.5Their descendants became the seafaring peoples that spread out to various lands, each identified by its own language, clan, and national identity. Descendants of Ham
The sons of Ham were Cush and Mizraim and Put and Canaan.6The descendants of Ham were Cush, Mizraim, Put, and Canaan.
The sons of Cush were Seba and Havilah and Sabtah and Raamah and Sabteca; and the sons of Raamah were Sheba and Dedan.7The descendants of Cush were Seba, Havilah, Sabtah, Raamah, and Sabteca. The descendants of Raamah were Sheba and Dedan.
Now Cush became the father of Nimrod; he became a mighty one on the earth.8Cush was also the ancestor of Nimrod, who was the first heroic warrior on earth.
He was a mighty hunter before the LORD; therefore it is said, "Like Nimrod a mighty hunter before the LORD."9Since he was the greatest hunter in the world, his name became proverbial. People would say, “This man is like Nimrod, the greatest hunter in the world.”
The beginning of his kingdom was Babel and Erech and Accad and Calneh, in the land of Shinar.10He built his kingdom in the land of Babylonia, with the cities of Babylon, Erech, Akkad, and Calneh.
From that land he went forth into Assyria, and built Nineveh and Rehoboth-Ir and Calah,11From there he expanded his territory to Assyria, building the cities of Nineveh, Rehoboth-ir, Calah,
and Resen between Nineveh and Calah; that is the great city.12and Resen (the great city located between Nineveh and Calah).
Mizraim became the father of Ludim and Anamim and Lehabim and Naphtuhim13Mizraim was the ancestor of the Ludites, Anamites, Lehabites, Naphtuhites,
and Pathrusim and Casluhim (from which came the Philistines) and Caphtorim.14Pathrusites, Casluhites, and the Caphtorites, from whom the Philistines came.
Canaan became the father of Sidon, his firstborn, and Heth15Canaan’s oldest son was Sidon, the ancestor of the Sidonians. Canaan was also the ancestor of the Hittites,

and the Hivite and the Arkite and the Sinite17Hivites, Arkites, Sinites,
and the Arvadite and the Zemarite and the Hamathite; and afterward the families of the Canaanite were spread abroad.18Arvadites, Zemarites, and Hamathites. The Canaanite clans eventually spread out,
The territory of the Canaanite extended from Sidon as you go toward Gerar, as far as Gaza; as you go toward Sodom and Gomorrah and Admah and Zeboiim, as far as Lasha.19and the territory of Canaan extended from Sidon in the north to Gerar and Gaza in the south, and east as far as Sodom, Gomorrah, Admah, and Zeboiim, near Lasha.
These are the sons of Ham, according to their families, according to their languages, by their lands, by their nations.20These were the descendants of Ham, identified by clan, language, territory, and national identity. Descendants of Shem
Also to Shem, the father of all the children of Eber, and the older brother of Japheth, children were born.21Sons were also born to Shem, the older brother of Japheth. Shem was the ancestor of all the descendants of Eber.
The sons of Shem were Elam and Asshur and Arpachshad and Lud and Aram.22The descendants of Shem were Elam, Asshur, Arphaxad, Lud, and Aram.
The sons of Aram were Uz and Hul and Gether and Mash.23The descendants of Aram were Uz, Hul, Gether, and Mash.

Two sons were born to Eber; the name of the one was Peleg, for in his days the earth was divided; and his brother's name was Joktan.25Eber had two sons. The first was named Peleg (which means “division”), for during his lifetime the people of the world were divided into different language groups. His brother’s name was Joktan.
Joktan became the father of Almodad and Sheleph and Hazarmaveth and Jerah26Joktan was the ancestor of Almodad, Sheleph, Hazarmaveth, Jerah,
and Hadoram and Uzal and Diklah27Hadoram, Uzal, Diklah,
and Obal and Abimael and Sheba28Obal, Abimael, Sheba,
and Ophir and Havilah and Jobab; all these were the sons of Joktan.29Ophir, Havilah, and Jobab. All these were descendants of Joktan.
Now their settlement extended from Mesha as you go toward Sephar, the hill country of the east.30The territory they occupied extended from Mesha all the way to Sephar in the eastern mountains.
These are the sons of Shem, according to their families, according to their languages, by their lands, according to their nations.31These were the descendants of Shem, identified by clan, language, territory, and national identity. Conclusion
These are the families of the sons of Noah, according to their genealogies, by their nations; and out of these the nations were separated on the earth after the flood.32These are the clans that descended from Noah’s sons, arranged by nation according to their lines of descent. All the nations of the earth descended from these clans after the great flood.
