1"You are to make the tent with ten curtains of fine woven linen and with blue, purple, and scarlet material. You are to make them with cherubim skillfully worked into them. 1“Moreover, you shall make the tabernacle with ten curtains of fine twined linen and blue and purple and scarlet yarns; you shall make them with cherubim skillfully worked into them.
2The length of each curtain is to be 28 cubits, the width of each curtain four cubits, and all the curtains are to have the same measurements. 2The length of each curtain shall be twenty-eight cubits, and the breadth of each curtain four cubits; all the curtains shall be the same size.
3"Five of the curtains are to be joined together, and the other five curtains are to be joined together. 3Five curtains shall be coupled to one another, and the other five curtains shall be coupled to one another.
4You are to make loops of blue material along the edge of the outermost curtain in the first set, and likewise you are to make loops along the edge of the outermost curtain in the second set. 4And you shall make loops of blue on the edge of the outermost curtain in the first set. Likewise you shall make loops on the edge of the outermost curtain in the second set.
5You are to make 50 loops in the one curtain, and you are to make 50 loops along the edge of the curtain that is in the second set, with the loops opposite each other. 5Fifty loops you shall make on the one curtain, and fifty loops you shall make on the edge of the curtain that is in the second set; the loops shall be opposite one another.
6Then you are to make 50 gold clasps, and join the curtains to each other with the clasps so that the tent will be one piece.6And you shall make fifty clasps of gold, and couple the curtains one to the other with the clasps, so that the tabernacle may be a single whole.
7"You are to make curtains of goat hair for a tent over the tent. You are to make eleven curtains. 7“You shall also make curtains of goats’ hair for a tent over the tabernacle; eleven curtains shall you make.
8The length of each curtain is to be 30 cubits, and the width of each curtain two cubits; the measurements of each of the eleven curtains is to be the same.8The length of each curtain shall be thirty cubits, and the breadth of each curtain four cubits. The eleven curtains shall be the same size.
9You are to join five curtains by themselves, and six curtains by themselves, and you are to double over the sixth curtain at the front of the tent. 9You shall couple five curtains by themselves, and six curtains by themselves, and the sixth curtain you shall double over at the front of the tent.
10You are to make 50 loops along the edge of the outermost curtain in the first set, and 50 loops along the edge of the curtain of the other set. 10You shall make fifty loops on the edge of the curtain that is outermost in one set, and fifty loops on the edge of the curtain that is outermost in the second set.
11You are to make 50 bronze clasps, put the clasps into the loops, and join the tent together so that it will be one piece. 11“You shall make fifty clasps of bronze, and put the clasps into the loops, and couple the tent together that it may be a single whole.
12As for the excess that remains of the curtains of the tent—the half curtain that remains—is to hang over the back of the tent. 12And the part that remains of the curtains of the tent, the half curtain that remains, shall hang over the back of the tabernacle.
13The half cubit that remain on either end of the length of the curtains of the tent is to hang over each side of the tent to cover it.13And the extra that remains in the length of the curtains, the cubit on the one side, and the cubit on the other side, shall hang over the sides of the tabernacle, on this side and that side, to cover it.
14"You are to make a cover for the tent of ram skins dyed red and a covering of dolphin skins above that.14And you shall make for the tent a covering of tanned rams’ skins and a covering of goatskins on top.
15"You are to make upright boards of acacia wood for the tent. 15“You shall make upright frames for the tabernacle of acacia wood.
16Each board is to be ten cubits long and one and a half cubits wide. 16Ten cubits shall be the length of a frame, and a cubit and a half the breadth of each frame.
17Each board is to have two pegs joined to one another, and you are to do this for all the boards of the tent. 17There shall be two tenons in each frame, for fitting together. So shall you do for all the frames of the tabernacle.
18You are to make the boards for the tent: 20 boards for the south side.18You shall make the frames for the tabernacle: twenty frames for the south side;
19And you are to make 40 silver sockets under the 20 boards: two sockets under the one board for its two pegs and two sockets under the next board for its two pegs.19and forty bases of silver you shall make under the twenty frames, two bases under one frame for its two tenons, and two bases under the next frame for its two tenons;
20"For the second side of the tent to the north you are to make 20 boards 20and for the second side of the tabernacle, on the north side twenty frames,
21and 40 silver sockets for them, two sockets under one board and two sockets under the next board. 21and their forty bases of silver, two bases under one frame, and two bases under the next frame.
22On the west you are to make six boards for the rear of the tent, 22And for the rear of the tabernacle westward you shall make six frames.
23and you are to make two boards for the rear corners of the tent. 23And you shall make two frames for corners of the tabernacle in the rear;
24They shall be interlocked together at the bottom and connected on top by one ring. Do this for the two of them, and they are to be the two corners. 24they shall be separate beneath, but joined at the top, at the first ring. Thus shall it be with both of them; they shall form the two corners.
25There is to be eight boards with their sixteen silver sockets, two sockets under one board and two sockets under the next board.25And there shall be eight frames, with their bases of silver, sixteen bases; two bases under one frame, and two bases under another frame.
26"You are to make bars of acacia wood, five for the boards on one side of the tent, 26“You shall make bars of acacia wood, five for the frames of the one side of the tabernacle,
27five bars for the boards on the second side of the tent, and five bars for the boards on the back side of the tent to the west. 27and five bars for the frames of the other side of the tabernacle, and five bars for the frames of the side of the tabernacle at the rear westward.
28The center bar in the middle of the boards is to pass through from end to end. 28The middle bar, halfway up the frames, shall run from end to end.
29You are to overlay the boards with gold, and you are to make gold rings for them as holders for the bars, and you are to overlay the bars with gold. 29You shall overlay the frames with gold and shall make their rings of gold for holders for the bars, and you shall overlay the bars with gold.
30You are to erect the tent according to the plan for it that was shown you on the mountain.30Then you shall erect the tabernacle according to the plan for it that you were shown on the mountain.
31"You are to make a curtain of blue, purple, and scarlet material, and fine woven linen. You are to make it with cherubim skillfully worked into it. 31“And you shall make a veil of blue and purple and scarlet yarns and fine twined linen. It shall be made with cherubim skillfully worked into it.
32You are to hang it on four pillars of acacia overlaid with gold, which have hooks of gold, and are set on four sockets of silver. 32And you shall hang it on four pillars of acacia overlaid with gold, with hooks of gold, on four bases of silver.
33You are to hang the curtain from the clasps and bring the Ark of the Testimony there inside the curtain. The curtain is to separate for you the Holy Place from the Most Holy Place.33And you shall hang the veil from the clasps, and bring the ark of the testimony in there within the veil. And the veil shall separate for you the Holy Place from the Most Holy.
34"You are to put the Mercy Seat on the Ark of the Testimony in the Most Holy Place. 34You shall put the mercy seat on the ark of the testimony in the Most Holy Place.
35You are to put the table outside the curtain. You are to put the table on the north side with the lamp stand opposite the table on the south side of the tent. 35And you shall set the table outside the veil, and the lampstand on the south side of the tabernacle opposite the table, and you shall put the table on the north side.
36For the doorway of the tent you are to make a screen of blue, purple, and scarlet material, and with fine woven linen, the work of an embroiderer. 36“You shall make a screen for the entrance of the tent, of blue and purple and scarlet yarns and fine twined linen, embroidered with needlework.
37You are to make five pillars of acacia for the screens and overlay them with gold. Their hooks shall be of gold, and you are to cast five bronze sockets for them."37And you shall make for the screen five pillars of acacia, and overlay them with gold. Their hooks shall be of gold, and you shall cast five bases of bronze for them.
