For the choirmaster. A Psalm of David. When Nathan the prophet came to him after his adultery with Bathsheba. Have mercy on me, O God, according to Your loving devotion; according to Your great compassion, blot out my transgressions. Have mercy on me, O God, according to your steadfast love; according to your abundant mercy blot out my transgressions. To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David, when Nathan the prophet came unto him, after he had gone in to Bathsheba. Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy lovingkindness: according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions. For the music director. A Psalm of David, when Nathan the prophet came to him, after he had gone in to Bathsheba. Be gracious to me, God, according to Your faithfulness; According to the greatness of Your compassion, wipe out my wrongdoings. For the director of music. A psalm of David. When the prophet Nathan came to him after David had committed adultery with Bathsheba. Have mercy on me, O God, according to your unfailing love; according to your great compassion blot out my transgressions.
Wash me clean of my iniquity and cleanse me from my sin. Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin! Wash me throughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin. Wash me thoroughly from my guilt And cleanse me from my sin. Wash away all my iniquity and cleanse me from my sin.
For I know my transgressions, and my sin is always before me. For I know my transgressions, and my sin is ever before me. For I acknowledge my transgressions: and my sin is ever before me. For I know my wrongdoings, And my sin is constantly before me. For I know my transgressions, and my sin is always before me.
Against You, You only, have I sinned and done what is evil in Your sight, so that You may be proved right when You speak and blameless when You judge. Against you, you only, have I sinned and done what is evil in your sight, so that you may be justified in your words and blameless in your judgment. Against thee, thee only, have I sinned, and done this evil in thy sight: that thou mightest be justified when thou speakest, and be clear when thou judgest. Against You, You only, I have sinned And done what is evil in Your sight, So that You are justified when You speak And blameless when You judge. Against you, you only, have I sinned and done what is evil in your sight; so you are right in your verdict and justified when you judge.
Surely I was brought forth in iniquity; I was sinful when my mother conceived me. Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity, and in sin did my mother conceive me. Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me. Behold, I was brought forth in guilt, And in sin my mother conceived me. Surely I was sinful at birth, sinful from the time my mother conceived me.
Surely You desire truth in the inmost being; You teach me wisdom in the inmost place. Behold, you delight in truth in the inward being, and you teach me wisdom in the secret heart. Behold, thou desirest truth in the inward parts: and in the hidden part thou shalt make me to know wisdom. Behold, You desire truth in the innermost being, And in secret You will make wisdom known to me. Yet you desired faithfulness even in the womb; you taught me wisdom in that secret place.
Purify me with hyssop, and I will be clean; wash me, and I will be whiter than snow. Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean; wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow. Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow. Purify me with hyssop, and I will be clean; Cleanse me, and I will be whiter than snow. Cleanse me with hyssop, and I will be clean; wash me, and I will be whiter than snow.
Let me hear joy and gladness; let the bones You have crushed rejoice. Let me hear joy and gladness; let the bones that you have broken rejoice. Make me to hear joy and gladness; that the bones which thou hast broken may rejoice. Let me hear joy and gladness, Let the bones You have broken rejoice. Let me hear joy and gladness; let the bones you have crushed rejoice.
Hide Your face from my sins and blot out all my iniquities. Hide your face from my sins, and blot out all my iniquities. Hide thy face from my sins, and blot out all mine iniquities. Hide Your face from my sins And wipe out all my guilty deeds. Hide your face from my sins and blot out all my iniquity.
Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me. Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me. Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me. Create in me a clean heart, God, And renew a steadfast spirit within me. Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.
Cast me not away from Your presence; take not Your Holy Spirit from me. Cast me not away from your presence, and take not your Holy Spirit from me. Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me. Do not cast me away from Your presence, And do not take Your Holy Spirit from me. Do not cast me from your presence or take your Holy Spirit from me.
Restore to me the joy of Your salvation, and sustain me with a willing spirit. Restore to me the joy of your salvation, and uphold me with a willing spirit. Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit. Restore to me the joy of Your salvation, And sustain me with a willing spirit. Restore to me the joy of your salvation and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me.
Then I will teach transgressors Your ways, and sinners will return to You. Then I will teach transgressors your ways, and sinners will return to you. Then will I teach transgressors thy ways; and sinners shall be converted unto thee. Then I will teach wrongdoers Your ways, And sinners will be converted to You. Then I will teach transgressors your ways, so that sinners will turn back to you.
Deliver me from bloodguilt, O God, the God of my salvation, and my tongue will sing of Your righteousness. Deliver me from bloodguiltiness, O God, O God of my salvation, and my tongue will sing aloud of your righteousness. Deliver me from bloodguiltiness, O God, thou God of my salvation: and my tongue shall sing aloud of thy righteousness. Save me from the guilt of bloodshed, God, the God of my salvation; Then my tongue will joyfully sing of Your righteousness. Deliver me from the guilt of bloodshed, O God, you who are God my Savior, and my tongue will sing of your righteousness.
O Lord, open my lips, and my mouth will declare Your praise. O Lord, open my lips, and my mouth will declare your praise. O Lord, open thou my lips; and my mouth shall shew forth thy praise. Lord, open my lips, So that my mouth may declare Your praise. Open my lips, Lord, and my mouth will declare your praise.
For You do not delight in sacrifice, or I would bring it; You take no pleasure in burnt offerings. For you will not delight in sacrifice, or I would give it; you will not be pleased with a burnt offering. For thou desirest not sacrifice; else would I give it: thou delightest not in burnt offering. For You do not delight in sacrifice, otherwise I would give it; You do not take pleasure in burnt offering. You do not delight in sacrifice, or I would bring it; you do not take pleasure in burnt offerings.
The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and a contrite heart, O God, You will not despise. The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise. The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise. The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; A broken and a contrite heart, God, You will not despise. My sacrifice, O God, is a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart you, God, will not despise.
In Your good pleasure, cause Zion to prosper; build up the walls of Jerusalem. Do good to Zion in your good pleasure; build up the walls of Jerusalem; Do good in thy good pleasure unto Zion: build thou the walls of Jerusalem. By Your favor do good to Zion; Build the walls of Jerusalem. May it please you to prosper Zion, to build up the walls of Jerusalem.
Then You will delight in righteous sacrifices, in whole burnt offerings; then bulls will be offered on Your altar. then will you delight in right sacrifices, in burnt offerings and whole burnt offerings; then bulls will be offered on your altar. Then shalt thou be pleased with the sacrifices of righteousness, with burnt offering and whole burnt offering: then shall they offer bullocks upon thine altar. Then You will delight in righteous sacrifices, In burnt offering and whole burnt offering; Then bulls will be offered on Your altar. Then you will delight in the sacrifices of the righteous, in burnt offerings offered whole; then bulls will be offered on your altar.
