רַנְּנ֣וּ
צַ֭דִּיקִים
בַּֽיהוָ֑ה
לַ֝יְשָׁרִ֗ים
נָאוָ֥ה
תְהִלָּֽה׃
Rejoice
in the LORD,
O righteous ones;
it is fitting
for the upright
to praise Him.
Rejoice
in the LORD,
O ye righteous:
[for] praise
is comely
for the upright.
2
הוֹד֣וּ
לַיהוָ֣ה
בְּכִנּ֑וֹר
בְּנֵ֥בֶל
עָ֝שׂ֗וֹר
זַמְּרוּ־
לֽוֹ׃
Praise
the LORD
with the harp;
make music
to Him
with ten strings.
Praise
the LORD
with harp:
sing
unto him with the psaltery
[and] an instrument of ten strings.
3
שִֽׁירוּ־
ל֭וֹ
שִׁ֣יר
חָדָ֑שׁ
הֵיטִ֥יבוּ
נַ֝גֵּ֗ן
בִּתְרוּעָֽה׃
Sing
to Him
a new
song;
play
skillfully
with a shout of joy.
Sing
unto him a new
song;
play
skilfully
with a loud noise.
4
כִּֽי־
יָשָׁ֥ר
דְּבַר־
יְהוָ֑ה
וְכָל־
מַ֝עֲשֵׂ֗הוּ
בֶּאֱמוּנָֽה׃
For
the word
of the LORD
is upright,
and all
His work
is trustworthy.
For the word
of the LORD
[is] right;
and all his works
[are done] in truth.
5
אֹ֭הֵב
צְדָקָ֣ה
וּמִשְׁפָּ֑ט
חֶ֥סֶד
יְ֝הוָ֗ה
מָלְאָ֥ה
הָאָֽרֶץ׃
The LORD loves
righteousness
and justice;
the earth
is full of
His
loving devotion.
He loveth
righteousness
and judgment:
the earth
is full
of the goodness
of the LORD.
6
בִּדְבַ֣ר
יְ֭הוָה
שָׁמַ֣יִם
נַעֲשׂ֑וּ
וּבְר֥וּחַ
פִּ֝֗יו
כָּל־
צְבָאָֽם׃
By the word
of the LORD
the heavens
were made,
and all
the stars
by the breath
of His mouth.
By the word
of the LORD
were the heavens
made;
and all the host
of them by the breath
of his mouth.
7
כֹּנֵ֣ס
כַּ֭נֵּד
מֵ֣י
הַיָּ֑ם
נֹתֵ֖ן
בְּאֹצָר֣וֹת
תְּהוֹמֽוֹת׃
He piles up
the waters
of the sea;
He puts
the depths
into storehouses.
He gathereth
the waters
of the sea
together as an heap:
he layeth up
the depth
in storehouses.
8
יִֽירְא֣וּ
מֵ֭יְהוָה
כָּל־
הָאָ֑רֶץ
מִמֶּ֥נּוּ
יָ֝ג֗וּרוּ
כָּל־
יֹשְׁבֵ֥י
תֵבֵֽל׃
Let all
the earth
fear
the LORD;
let all
the people
of the world
revere Him.
Let all the earth
fear
the LORD:
let all the inhabitants
of the world
stand in awe
of him.
9
כִּ֤י
ה֣וּא
אָמַ֣ר
וַיֶּ֑הִי
הֽוּא־
צִ֝וָּ֗ה
וַֽיַּעֲמֹֽד׃
For
He
spoke,
and it came to be;
He
commanded,
and it stood firm.
For he spake,
and it was [done]; he commanded,
and it stood fast.
10
יְֽהוָ֗ה
הֵפִ֥יר
עֲצַת־
גּוֹיִ֑ם
הֵ֝נִ֗יא
מַחְשְׁב֥וֹת
עַמִּֽים׃
The LORD
frustrates
the plans
of the nations;
He thwarts
the devices
of the peoples.
The LORD
bringeth
the counsel
of the heathen
to nought:
he maketh
the devices
of the people
of none effect.
11
עֲצַ֣ת
יְ֭הוָה
לְעוֹלָ֣ם
תַּעֲמֹ֑ד
מַחְשְׁב֥וֹת
לִ֝בּ֗וֹ
לְדֹ֣ר
וָדֹֽר׃
The counsel
of the LORD
stands forever,
the purposes
of His heart
to all
generations.
The counsel
of the LORD
standeth
for ever,
the thoughts
of his heart
to all
generations.
12
אַשְׁרֵ֣י
הַ֭גּוֹי
אֲשֶׁר־
יְהוָ֣ה
אֱלֹהָ֑יו
הָעָ֓ם ׀

Blessed
is the nation
whose
God
is the LORD,
the people
He has chosen
as His inheritance!
Blessed
[is] the nation
whose God
[is] the LORD;
[and] the people
[whom] he hath chosen
for his own inheritance.
13
מִ֭שָּׁמַיִם
הִבִּ֣יט
יְהוָ֑ה
רָ֝אָ֗ה
אֶֽת־

הָאָדָֽם׃
The LORD
looks down
from heaven;
He sees
all
the sons
of men.
The LORD
looketh
from heaven;
he beholdeth
all the sons
of men.
14
מִֽמְּכוֹן־

From His dwelling

He gazes

all
who inhabit
the earth.
From the place
of his habitation
he looketh
upon all the inhabitants
of the earth.
15
הַיֹּצֵ֣ר
יַ֣חַד
לִבָּ֑ם
הַ֝מֵּבִ֗ין

He shapes
the hearts
of each;
He considers
all
their works.
He fashioneth
their hearts
alike;
he considereth
all their works.

No
king
is saved
by his vast
army;
no
warrior
is delivered
by his great

There is no king
saved
by the multitude
of an host:
a mighty man
is not delivered
by much
strength.

A horse

An horse
[is] a vain thing
for safety:
neither shall he deliver
[any] by his great
strength.

Surely
the eyes

on those whose hope

Behold, the eye
of the LORD
[is] upon them that fear
him, upon them that hope
in his mercy;

To deliver

O LORD,
be upon us, according as we hope
in thee.
