| 5 | חַטָּאתִ֨י אוֹדִ֪יעֲךָ֡ וַעֲוֺ֘נִ֤י לֹֽא־ כִסִּ֗יתִי אָמַ֗רְתִּי אוֹדֶ֤ה עֲלֵ֣י פְ֭שָׁעַי לַיהוָ֑ה וְאַתָּ֨ה נָ֘שָׂ֤אתָ עֲוֺ֖ן חַטָּאתִ֣י סֶֽלָה׃ | I acknowledged my sin to you, and I did not cover my iniquity; I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the LORD,” and you forgave the iniquity of my sin. | 9 | אַל־ תִּֽהְי֤וּ ׀ כְּס֥וּס כְּפֶרֶד֮ אֵ֤ין הָ֫בִ֥ין בְּמֶֽתֶג־ וָרֶ֣סֶן עֶדְי֣וֹ לִבְל֑וֹם בַּ֝֗ל קְרֹ֣ב אֵלֶֽיךָ׃ | Be not like a horse or a mule, without understanding, which must be curbed with bit and bridle, or it will not stay near you. | Do not be like the horse or the mule, which have no understanding but must be controlled by bit and bridle or they will not come to you. | |
| 10 | רַבִּ֥ים מַכְאוֹבִ֗ים לָרָ֫שָׁ֥ע וְהַבּוֹטֵ֥חַ בַּיהוָ֑ה חֶ֝֗סֶד יְסוֹבְבֶֽנּוּ׃ | Many are the sorrows of the wicked, but steadfast love surrounds the one who trusts in the LORD. | Many are the woes of the wicked, but the LORD’s unfailing love surrounds the one who trusts in him. | |
| 11 | שִׂמְח֬וּ בַֽיהוָ֣ה וְ֭גִילוּ צַדִּיקִ֑ים וְ֝הַרְנִ֗ינוּ כָּל־ יִשְׁרֵי־ לֵֽב׃ | Be glad in the LORD, and rejoice, O righteous, and shout for joy, all you upright in heart! | Rejoice in the LORD and be glad, you righteous; sing, all you who are upright in heart! | |
