1 Praise by David. I exalt Thee, my God, O king, And bless Thy name to the age and for ever. I will extol you, my God and King, and bless your name forever and ever. A psalm of praise. Of David. I will exalt you, my God the King; I will praise your name for ever and ever.
2 Every day do I bless Thee, And praise Thy name to the age and for ever. Every day I will bless you and praise your name forever and ever. Every day I will praise you and extol your name for ever and ever.
3 Great is Jehovah, and praised greatly, And of His greatness there is no searching. Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised, and his greatness is unsearchable. Great is the LORD and most worthy of praise; his greatness no one can fathom.
4 Generation to generation praiseth Thy works, And Thy mighty acts they declare. One generation shall commend your works to another, and shall declare your mighty acts. One generation commends your works to another; they tell of your mighty acts.
5 The honour -- the glory of Thy majesty, And the matters of Thy wonders I declare. On the glorious splendor of your majesty, and on your wondrous works, I will meditate. They speak of the glorious splendor of your majesty— and I will meditate on your wonderful works.
6 And the strength of Thy fearful acts they tell, And Thy greatness I recount. They shall speak of the might of your awesome deeds, and I will declare your greatness. They tell of the power of your awesome works— and I will proclaim your great deeds.
7 The memorial of the abundance of Thy goodness they send forth. And Thy righteousness they sing. They shall pour forth the fame of your abundant goodness and shall sing aloud of your righteousness. They celebrate your abundant goodness and joyfully sing of your righteousness.
8 Gracious and merciful is Jehovah, Slow to anger, and great in kindness. The LORD is gracious and merciful, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love. The LORD is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and rich in love.
9 Good is Jehovah to all, And His mercies are over all His works. The LORD is good to all, and his mercy is over all that he has made. The LORD is good to all; he has compassion on all he has made.
10 Confess Thee O Jehovah, do all Thy works, And Thy saints do bless Thee. All your works shall give thanks to you, O LORD, and all your saints shall bless you! All your works praise you, LORD; your faithful people extol you.
11 The honour of Thy kingdom they tell, And of Thy might they speak, They shall speak of the glory of your kingdom and tell of your power, They tell of the glory of your kingdom and speak of your might,
12 To make known to sons of men His mighty acts, The honour of the majesty of His kingdom. to make known to the children of man your mighty deeds, and the glorious splendor of your kingdom. so that all people may know of your mighty acts and the glorious splendor of your kingdom.
13 Thy kingdom is a kingdom of all ages, And Thy dominion is in all generations. Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and your dominion endures throughout all generations. [The LORD is faithful in all his words and kind in all his works.] Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and your dominion endures through all generations. The LORD is trustworthy in all he promises and faithful in all he does.
14 Jehovah is supporting all who are falling, And raising up all who are bowed down. The LORD upholds all who are falling and raises up all who are bowed down. The LORD upholds all who fall and lifts up all who are bowed down.
15 The eyes of all unto Thee do look, And Thou art giving to them their food in its season, The eyes of all look to you, and you give them their food in due season. The eyes of all look to you, and you give them their food at the proper time.
16 Opening Thy hand, and satisfying The desire of every living thing. You open your hand; you satisfy the desire of every living thing. You open your hand and satisfy the desires of every living thing.
17 Righteous is Jehovah in all His ways, And kind in all His works. The LORD is righteous in all his ways and kind in all his works. The LORD is righteous in all his ways and faithful in all he does.
18 Near is Jehovah to all those calling Him, To all who call Him in truth. The LORD is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth. The LORD is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth.
19 The desire of those fearing Him He doth, And their cry He heareth, and saveth them. He fulfills the desire of those who fear him; he also hears their cry and saves them. He fulfills the desires of those who fear him; he hears their cry and saves them.
20 Jehovah preserveth all those loving Him, And all the wicked He destroyeth. The LORD preserves all who love him, but all the wicked he will destroy. The LORD watches over all who love him, but all the wicked he will destroy.
21 The praise of Jehovah my mouth speaketh, And all flesh doth bless His holy name, To the age and for ever! My mouth will speak the praise of the LORD, and let all flesh bless his holy name forever and ever. My mouth will speak in praise of the LORD. Let every creature praise his holy name for ever and ever.
