Praise ye Jah! Praise, O my soul, Jehovah. Praise the LORD! Praise the LORD, O my soul! Praise the LORD. Praise the LORD, my soul.
I praise Jehovah during my life, I sing praise to my God while I exist. I will praise the LORD as long as I live; I will sing praises to my God while I have my being. I will praise the LORD all my life; I will sing praise to my God as long as I live.
Trust not in princes -- in a son of man, For he hath no deliverance. Put not your trust in princes, in a son of man, in whom there is no salvation. Do not put your trust in princes, in human beings, who cannot save.
His spirit goeth forth, he returneth to his earth, In that day have his thoughts perished. When his breath departs, he returns to the earth; on that very day his plans perish. When their spirit departs, they return to the ground; on that very day their plans come to nothing.
O the happiness of him Who hath the God of Jacob for his help, His hope is on Jehovah his God, Blessed is he whose help is the God of Jacob, whose hope is in the LORD his God, Blessed are those whose help is the God of Jacob, whose hope is in the LORD their God.
Making the heavens and earth, The sea and all that is in them, Who is keeping truth to the age, who made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them, who keeps faith forever; He is the Maker of heaven and earth, the sea, and everything in them— he remains faithful forever.
Doing judgment for the oppressed, Giving bread to the hungry. who executes justice for the oppressed, who gives food to the hungry. The LORD sets the prisoners free; He upholds the cause of the oppressed and gives food to the hungry. The LORD sets prisoners free,
Jehovah is loosing the prisoners, Jehovah is opening (the eyes of) the blind, Jehovah is raising the bowed down, Jehovah is loving the righteous, the LORD opens the eyes of the blind. The LORD lifts up those who are bowed down; the LORD loves the righteous. the LORD gives sight to the blind, the LORD lifts up those who are bowed down, the LORD loves the righteous.
Jehovah is preserving the strangers, The fatherless and widow He causeth to stand, And the way of the wicked He turneth upside down. The LORD watches over the sojourners; he upholds the widow and the fatherless, but the way of the wicked he brings to ruin. The LORD watches over the foreigner and sustains the fatherless and the widow, but he frustrates the ways of the wicked.
Jehovah doth reign to the age, Thy God, O Zion, to generation and generation, Praise ye Jah! The LORD will reign forever, your God, O Zion, to all generations. Praise the LORD! The LORD reigns forever, your God, O Zion, for all generations. Praise the LORD.
