11 “Get up! the Lord {Kyrios} told him. “Go to the house of Judas (praise) on Straight Street and ask for a man from Tarsus named Saul (asked for), for he is praying. And the Lord said to him, “Rise and go to the street called Straight, and at the house of Judas look for a man of Tarsus named Saul, for behold, he is praying, The Lord told him, “Go to the house of Judas on Straight Street and ask for a man from Tarsus named Saul, for he is praying.

15 “Go! said the Lord {Kyrios}. “This man is My chosen instrument to carry My name before the Gentiles {ethnōn} and their kings, and before the people of Israel (He wrestles with God). But the Lord said to him, “Go, for he is a chosen instrument of mine to carry my name before the Gentiles and kings and the children of Israel. But the Lord said to Ananias, “Go! This man is my chosen instrument to proclaim my name to the Gentiles and their kings and to the people of Israel.
16 I will show him how much he must suffer for My name. For I will show him how much he must suffer for the sake of my name.” I will show him how much he must suffer for my name.”
17 So Ananias (YHWH is gracious) went to the house, and when he arrived, he placed his hands on Saul. “Brother Saul (asked for), he said, “the Lord {Kyrios} Jesus (YHWH saves), who appeared to you on the road as you were coming here, has sent me so that you may see again and be filled with the Holy Spirit {Hagiou Pneumatos}. So Ananias departed and entered the house. And laying his hands on him he said, “Brother Saul, the Lord Jesus who appeared to you on the road by which you came has sent me so that you may regain your sight and be filled with the Holy Spirit.” Then Ananias went to the house and entered it. Placing his hands on Saul, he said, “Brother Saul, the Lord—Jesus, who appeared to you on the road as you were coming here—has sent me so that you may see again and be filled with the Holy Spirit.”
18 At that instant, something like scales fell from Saul’s eyes, and his sight was restored. He got up and was baptized (submerged), And immediately something like scales fell from his eyes, and he regained his sight. 21 All who heard him were astounded and asked, “Isn’t this the man who wreaked havoc in Jerusalem (city of peace) on those who call on this name? And hasn’t he come here to take them as prisoners to the chief priests? And all who heard him were amazed and said, “Is not this the man who made havoc in Jerusalem of those who called upon this name? And has he not come here for this purpose, to bring them bound before the chief priests?” All those who heard him were astonished and asked, “Isn’t he the man who raised havoc in Jerusalem among those who call on this name? And hasn’t he come here to take them as prisoners to the chief priests?”
22 But Saul (asked for) was empowered all the more, and he confounded the Jews (people of praise) living in Damascus (well-watered land) by proving that Jesus is the Christ (the Anointed One). But Saul increased all the more in strength, and confounded the Jews who lived in Damascus by proving that Jesus was the Christ. Yet Saul grew more and more powerful and baffled the Jews living in Damascus by proving that Jesus is the Messiah.
23 After many days had passed, the Jews (people of praise) conspired to kill him, When many days had passed, the Jews plotted to kill him, After many days had gone by, there was a conspiracy among the Jews to kill him,
24 but Saul (asked for) learned of their plot. Day and night they watched the city gates in order to kill him. but their plot became known to Saul. Then the church throughout Judea, Galilee and Samaria enjoyed a time of peace and was strengthened. Living in the fear of the Lord and encouraged by the Holy Spirit, it increased in numbers.
32 As Peter (rock) traveled throughout the area, he went to visit the saints (holy ones) in Lydda. Now as Peter went here and there among them all, he came down also to the saints who lived at Lydda. As Peter traveled about the country, he went to visit the Lord’s people who lived in Lydda.
33 There he found a man named Aeneas who had been paralyzed and bedridden for eight years. There he found a man named Aeneas, bedridden for eight years, who was paralyzed. There he found a man named Aeneas, who was paralyzed and had been bedridden for eight years.
34 “Aeneas, Peter (rock) said to him, “Jesus (YHWH saves) Christ (the Anointed One) heals you! Get up and put away your mat. 36 In Joppa (beautiful) there was a disciple (pupil) named Tabitha (gazelle) (which is translated as Dorcas), who was always occupied with works (acts) of kindness and charity. Now there was in Joppa a disciple named Tabitha, which, translated, means Dorcas. She was full of good works and acts of charity. In Joppa there was a disciple named Tabitha (in Greek her name is Dorcas); she was always doing good and helping the poor.
37 At that time, however, she became sick and died, and her body was washed and placed in an upper room. 40 Then Peter (rock) sent them all out of the room. He knelt down and prayed, and turning toward her body, he said, “Tabitha (gazelle), get up! She opened her eyes, and seeing Peter, she sat up. But Peter put them all outside, and knelt down and prayed; and turning to the body he said, “Tabitha, arise.” And she opened her eyes, and when she saw Peter she sat up. Peter sent them all out of the room; then he got down on his knees and prayed. Turning toward the dead woman, he said, “Tabitha, get up.” She opened her eyes, and seeing Peter she sat up.
41 Peter took her by the hand and helped her up. Then he called the saints (holy ones) and widows and presented her to them alive. And he gave her his hand and raised her up. Then, calling the saints and widows, he presented her alive. He took her by the hand and helped her to her feet. Then he called for the believers, especially the widows, and presented her to them alive.
42 This became known all over Joppa (beautiful), and many people believed (had faith) in the Lord {Kyrion}. And it became known throughout all Joppa, and many believed in the Lord. This became known all over Joppa, and many people believed in the Lord.
43 And Peter stayed for several days in Joppa (beautiful) with a tanner named Simon (hearing). And he stayed in Joppa for many days with one Simon, a tanner. Peter stayed in Joppa for some time with a tanner named Simon.
