But Peter, standing with the eleven, lifted up his voice and addressed them: “Men of Judea and all who dwell in Jerusalem, let this be known to you, and give ear to my words. Then Peter stood up with the Eleven, raised his voice and addressed the crowd: “Fellow Jews and all of you who live in Jerusalem, let me explain this to you; listen carefully to what I say.
15 In spite of what you think, these men are not drunk, for it is only nine o'clock in the morning. For these people are not drunk, as you suppose, since it is only the third hour of the day. These people are not drunk, as you suppose. It’s only nine in the morning!

22 |Men of Israel, listen to these words: Jesus the Nazarene, a man clearly attested to you by God with powerful deeds, wonders, and miraculous signs that God performed among you through him, just as you yourselves know-- “Men of Israel, hear these words: Jesus of Nazareth, a man attested to you by God with mighty works and wonders and signs that God did through him in your midst, as you yourselves know— “Fellow Israelites, listen to this: Jesus of Nazareth was a man accredited by God to you by miracles, wonders and signs, which God did among you through him, as you yourselves know.
23 this man, who was handed over by the predetermined plan and foreknowledge of God, you executed by nailing him to a cross at the hands of Gentiles. this Jesus, delivered up according to the definite plan and foreknowledge of God, you crucified and killed by the hands of lawless men. This man was handed over to you by God’s deliberate plan and foreknowledge; and you, with the help of wicked men, put him to death by nailing him to the cross.
24 But God raised him up, having released him from the pains of death, because it was not possible for him to be held in its power. But God raised him from the dead, freeing him from the agony of death, because it was impossible for death to keep its hold on him.
25 For David says about him, 'I saw the Lord always in front of me, for he is at my right hand so that I will not be shaken. 40 With many other words he testified and exhorted them saying, |Save yourselves from this perverse generation!| And with many other words he bore witness and continued to exhort them, saying, “Save yourselves from this crooked generation.” With many other words he warned them; and he pleaded with them, “Save yourselves from this corrupt generation.”
41 So those who accepted his message were baptized, and that day about three thousand people were added.
