1 When the time for Pentecost was fulfilled, they were all in one place together. When the day of Pentecost arrived, they were all together in one place. When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place.
2 And suddenly there came from the sky a noise like a strong driving wind, and it filled the entire house in which they were. And suddenly there came from heaven a sound like a mighty rushing wind, and it filled the entire house where they were sitting. 3 Then there appeared to them tongues as of fire, which parted and came to rest on each one of them. And divided tongues as of fire appeared to them and rested on each one of them. They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them.
4 And they were all filled with the holy Spirit and began to speak in different tongues, as the Spirit enabled them to proclaim. 7 They were astounded, and in amazement they asked, “Are not all these people who are speaking Galileans? And they were amazed and astonished, saying, “Are not all these who are speaking Galileans? Utterly amazed, they asked: “Aren’t all these who are speaking Galileans?
8 Then how does each of us hear them in his own native language? And how is it that we hear, each of us in his own native language? Then how is it that each of us hears them in our native language?
9 We are Parthians, Medes, and Elamites, inhabitants of Mesopotamia, Judea and Cappadocia, Pontus and Asia, Parthians and Medes and Elamites and residents of Mesopotamia, Judea and Cappadocia, Pontus and Asia, Parthians, Medes and Elamites; residents of Mesopotamia, Judea and Cappadocia, Pontus and Asia,

14 Then Peter stood up with the Eleven, raised his voice, and proclaimed to them, “You who are Jews, indeed all of you staying in Jerusalem. Let this be known to you, and listen to my words. But Peter, standing with the eleven, lifted up his voice and addressed them: “Men of Judea and all who dwell in Jerusalem, let this be known to you, and give ear to my words. Then Peter stood up with the Eleven, raised his voice and addressed the crowd: “Fellow Jews and all of you who live in Jerusalem, let me explain this to you; listen carefully to what I say.
15 These people are not drunk, as you suppose, for it is only nine o’clock in the morning. For these people are not drunk, as you suppose, since it is only the third hour of the day. These people are not drunk, as you suppose. It’s only nine in the morning!
16 No, this is what was spoken through the prophet Joel: But this is what was uttered through the prophet Joel: No, this is what was spoken by the prophet Joel:
17 ‘It will come to pass in the last days,’ God says, ‘that I will pour out a portion of my spirit upon all flesh. Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your young men shall see visions, your old men shall dream dreams. “‘And in the last days it shall be, God declares, that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh, and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams; “’In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams.
18 Indeed, upon my servants and my handmaids I will pour out a portion of my spirit in those days, and they shall prophesy. even on my male servants and female servants in those days I will pour out my Spirit, and they shall prophesy. 22 You who are Israelites, hear these words. Jesus the Nazorean was a man commended to you by God with mighty deeds, wonders, and signs, which God worked through him in your midst, as you yourselves know. “Men of Israel, hear these words: Jesus of Nazareth, a man attested to you by God with mighty works and wonders and signs that God did through him in your midst, as you yourselves know— “Fellow Israelites, listen to this: Jesus of Nazareth was a man accredited by God to you by miracles, wonders and signs, which God did among you through him, as you yourselves know.
23 This man, delivered up by the set plan and foreknowledge of God, you killed, using lawless men to crucify him. this Jesus, delivered up according to the definite plan and foreknowledge of God, you crucified and killed by the hands of lawless men. This man was handed over to you by God’s deliberate plan and foreknowledge; and you, with the help of wicked men, put him to death by nailing him to the cross.
24 But God raised him up, releasing him from the throes of death, because it was impossible for him to be held by it. God raised him up, loosing the pangs of death, because it was not possible for him to be held by it. But God raised him from the dead, freeing him from the agony of death, because it was impossible for death to keep its hold on him.
25 For David says of him: ‘I saw the Lord ever before me, with him at my right hand I shall not be disturbed. For David says concerning him, “‘I saw the Lord always before me, for he is at my right hand that I may not be shaken; David said about him: “’I saw the Lord always before me. Because he is at my right hand, I will not be shaken.

27 because you will not abandon my soul to the netherworld, nor will you suffer your holy one to see corruption. For you will not abandon my soul to Hades, or let your Holy One see corruption. because you will not abandon me to the realm of the dead, you will not let your holy one see decay.

33 Exalted at the right hand of God, he received the promise of the holy Spirit from the Father and poured it forth, as you [both] see and hear. Being therefore exalted at the right hand of God, and having received from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, he has poured out this that you yourselves are seeing and hearing. 40 He testified with many other arguments, and was exhorting them, “Save yourselves from this corrupt generation.” And with many other words he bore witness and continued to exhort them, saying, “Save yourselves from this crooked generation.” With many other words he warned them; and he pleaded with them, “Save yourselves from this corrupt generation.”
41 Those who accepted his message were baptized, and about three thousand persons were added that day. So those who received his word were baptized, and there were added that day about three thousand souls. 47 praising God and enjoying favor with all the people. And every day the Lord added to their number those who were being saved. praising God and having favor with all the people.
