NASB Parallel ESV [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
New American Standard Bible 1995English Standard Version
For the choir director; according to Jeduthun. A Psalm of Asaph. My voice rises to God, and I will cry aloud; My voice rises to God, and He will hear me.1I cry aloud to God, aloud to God, and he will hear me.
In the day of my trouble I sought the Lord; In the night my hand was stretched out without weariness; My soul refused to be comforted.2In the day of my trouble I seek the Lord; in the night my hand is stretched out without wearying; my soul refuses to be comforted.
When I remember God, then I am disturbed; When I sigh, then my spirit grows faint. Selah.3When I remember God, I moan; when I meditate, my spirit faints. Selah
You have held my eyelids open; I am so troubled that I cannot speak.4You hold my eyelids open; I am so troubled that I cannot speak.
I have considered the days of old, The years of long ago.5I consider the days of old, the years long ago.
I will remember my song in the night; I will meditate with my heart, And my spirit ponders:6I said, “Let me remember my song in the night; let me meditate in my heart.” Then my spirit made a diligent search:
Will the Lord reject forever? And will He never be favorable again?7“Will the Lord spurn forever, and never again be favorable?
Has His lovingkindness ceased forever? Has His promise come to an end forever?8Has his steadfast love forever ceased? Are his promises at an end for all time?
Has God forgotten to be gracious, Or has He in anger withdrawn His compassion? Selah.9Has God forgotten to be gracious? Has he in anger shut up his compassion?” Selah
Then I said, "It is my grief, That the right hand of the Most High has changed."10Then I said, “I will appeal to this, to the years of the right hand of the Most High.”
I shall remember the deeds of the LORD; Surely I will remember Your wonders of old.11I will remember the deeds of the LORD; yes, I will remember your wonders of old.
I will meditate on all Your work And muse on Your deeds.12I will ponder all your work, and meditate on your mighty deeds.
Your way, O God, is holy; What god is great like our God?13Your way, O God, is holy. What god is great like our God?
You are the God who works wonders; You have made known Your strength among the peoples.14You are the God who works wonders; you have made known your might among the peoples.
You have by Your power redeemed Your people, The sons of Jacob and Joseph. Selah.15You with your arm redeemed your people, the children of Jacob and Joseph. Selah
The waters saw You, O God; The waters saw You, they were in anguish; The deeps also trembled.16When the waters saw you, O God, when the waters saw you, they were afraid; indeed, the deep trembled.
The clouds poured out water; The skies gave forth a sound; Your arrows flashed here and there.17The clouds poured out water; the skies gave forth thunder; your arrows flashed on every side.
The sound of Your thunder was in the whirlwind; The lightnings lit up the world; The earth trembled and shook.18The crash of your thunder was in the whirlwind; your lightnings lighted up the world; the earth trembled and shook.
Your way was in the sea And Your paths in the mighty waters, And Your footprints may not be known.19Your way was through the sea, your path through the great waters; yet your footprints were unseen.
You led Your people like a flock By the hand of Moses and Aaron.20You led your people like a flock by the hand of Moses and Aaron.
