| 1Now these are the generations of the sons of Noah, Shem, Ham, and Japheth: and unto them were sons born after the flood. | 1This is the account of Shem, Ham and Japheth, Noah's sons, who themselves had sons after the flood. |
| 2The sons of Japheth; Gomer, and Magog, and Madai, and Javan, and Tubal, and Meshech, and Tiras. | 2The sons of Japheth: Gomer, Magog, Madai, Javan, Tubal, Meshek and Tiras. |

| 15And Canaan begat Sidon his firstborn, and Heth, | 15Canaan was the father of Sidon his firstborn, and of the Hittites, |

| 19And the border of the Canaanites was from Sidon, as thou comest to Gerar, unto Gaza; as thou goest, unto Sodom, and Gomorrah, and Admah, and Zeboim, even unto Lasha. | 19and the borders of Canaan reached from Sidon toward Gerar as far as Gaza, and then toward Sodom, Gomorrah, Admah and Zeboyim, as far as Lasha. |

| 21Unto Shem also, the father of all the children of Eber, the brother of Japheth the elder, even to him were children born. | 21Sons were also born to Shem, whose older brother was Japheth; Shem was the ancestor of all the sons of Eber. |
