| 1Therefore, my brethren dearly beloved and longed for, my joy and crown, so stand fast in the Lord, my dearly beloved. | 1Therefore, my beloved brethren whom I long to see, my joy and crown, in this way stand firm in the Lord, my beloved. |
| 2I beseech Euodias, and beseech Syntyche, that they be of the same mind in the Lord. | 2I urge Euodia and I urge Syntyche to live in harmony in the Lord. |
| 3And I intreat thee also, true yokefellow, help those women which laboured with me in the gospel, with Clement also, and with other my fellowlabourers, whose names are in the book of life. | 3Indeed, true companion, I ask you also to help these women who have shared my struggle in the cause of the gospel, together with Clement also and the rest of my fellow workers, whose names are in the book of life. |

| 8Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. | 8Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things. |
| 9Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you. | 9The things you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you. |

| 12I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. | 12I know how to get along with humble means, and I also know how to live in prosperity; in any and every circumstance I have learned the secret of being filled and going hungry, both of having abundance and suffering need. |
| 13I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. | 13I can do all things through Him who strengthens me. |
| 14Notwithstanding ye have well done, that ye did communicate with my affliction. | 14Nevertheless, you have done well to share with me in my affliction. |
| 15Now ye Philippians know also, that in the beginning of the gospel, when I departed from Macedonia, no church communicated with me as concerning giving and receiving, but ye only. | 15You yourselves also know, Philippians, that at the first preaching of the gospel, after I left Macedonia, no church shared with me in the matter of giving and receiving but you alone; |
| 16For even in Thessalonica ye sent once and again unto my necessity. | 16for even in Thessalonica you sent a gift more than once for my needs. |
| 17Not because I desire a gift: but I desire fruit that may abound to your account. | 17Not that I seek the gift itself, but I seek for the profit which increases to your account. |
| 18But I have all, and abound: I am full, having received of Epaphroditus the things which were sent from you, an odour of a sweet smell, a sacrifice acceptable, wellpleasing to God. | 18But I have received everything in full and have an abundance; I am amply supplied, having received from Epaphroditus what you have sent, a fragrant aroma, an acceptable sacrifice, well-pleasing to God. |
| 19But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. | 19And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus. |
| 20Now unto God and our Father be glory for ever and ever. Amen. | 20Now to our God and Father be the glory forever and ever. Amen. |
| 21Salute every saint in Christ Jesus. The brethren which are with me greet you. | 21Greet every saint in Christ Jesus. The brethren who are with me greet you. |
