| 1I was ready to be sought by those who did not ask for me; I was ready to be found by those who did not seek me. I said, “Here I am, here I am,” to a nation that was not called by my name. | 1"I was sought by those who did not ask; I was found by those who did not seek me. | 7both your iniquities and your fathers’ iniquities together, says the LORD; because they made offerings on the mountains and insulted me on the hills, I will measure into their lap payment for their former deeds.” | 7for your iniquities and the iniquities of your fathers together," says the LORD. "Because they burned incense on the mountains and reproached me on the hills, I will reward them fully for their former deeds." |
| 8Thus says the LORD: “As the new wine is found in the cluster, and they say, ‘Do not destroy it, for there is a blessing in it,’ so I will do for my servants’ sake, and not destroy them all. | 8The LORD says this: "As the new wine is found in a bunch of grapes, and one says, 'Don't destroy it, for there's some good in it,' so I will act because of my servants and not destroy them all. |

| 11But you who forsake the LORD, who forget my holy mountain, who set a table for Fortune and fill cups of mixed wine for Destiny, | 11But you who abandon the LORD, who forget my holy mountain, who prepare a table for Fortune and fill bowls of mixed wine for Destiny, |
| 12I will destine you to the sword, and all of you shall bow down to the slaughter, because, when I called, you did not answer; when I spoke, you did not listen, but you did what was evil in my eyes and chose what I did not delight in.” | 12I will destine you for the sword, and all of you will kneel down to be slaughtered, because I called and you did not answer, I spoke and you did not hear; you did what was evil in my sight and chose what I did not delight in." |
| 13Therefore thus says the Lord GOD: “Behold, my servants shall eat, but you shall be hungry; behold, my servants shall drink, but you shall be thirsty; behold, my servants shall rejoice, but you shall be put to shame; | 13Therefore, this is what the Lord GOD says: "My servants will eat, but you will be hungry; my servants will drink, but you will be thirsty; my servants will rejoice, but you will be put to shame. |
| 14behold, my servants shall sing for gladness of heart, but you shall cry out for pain of heart and shall wail for breaking of spirit. | 14My servants will shout for joy from a glad heart, but you will cry out from an anguished heart, and you will lament out of a broken spirit. |
| 15You shall leave your name to my chosen for a curse, and the Lord GOD will put you to death, but his servants he will call by another name, | 15You will leave your name behind as a curse for my chosen ones, and the Lord GOD will kill you; but he will give his servants another name. |
| 16so that he who blesses himself in the land shall bless himself by the God of truth, and he who takes an oath in the land shall swear by the God of truth; because the former troubles are forgotten and are hidden from my eyes. | 16Whoever asks for a blessing in the land will ask for a blessing by the God of truth, and whoever swears in the land will swear by the God of truth. For the former troubles will be forgotten and hidden from my sight. |
| 17“For behold, I create new heavens and a new earth, and the former things shall not be remembered or come into mind. | 17"For I will create a new heaven and a new earth; the past events will not be remembered or come to mind. |

Indeed, the one who dies at a hundred years old will be mourned as a young man, and the one who misses a hundred years will be considered cursed. |

| 22They shall not build and another inhabit; they shall not plant and another eat; for like the days of a tree shall the days of my people be, and my chosen shall long enjoy the work of their hands. | 22They will not build and others live in them; they will not plant and others eat. For my people's lives will be like the lifetime of a tree. My chosen ones will fully enjoy the work of their hands. |
| 23They shall not labor in vain or bear children for calamity, for they shall be the offspring of the blessed of the LORD, and their descendants with them. | 23They will not labor without success or bear children destined for disaster, for they will be a people blessed by the LORD along with their descendants. |
| 24Before they call I will answer; while they are yet speaking I will hear. | 24Even before they call, I will answer; while they are still speaking, I will hear. |
| 25The wolf and the lamb shall graze together; the lion shall eat straw like the ox, and dust shall be the serpent’s food. They shall not hurt or destroy in all my holy mountain,” says the LORD. | 25The wolf and the lamb will feed together, and the lion will eat straw like cattle, but the serpent's food will be dust! They will not do what is evil or destroy on my entire holy mountain," says the LORD. |
