Laws for Grain Offerings
(Leviticus 6:14–23)

1  וְנֶ֗פֶשׁ (And a soul) כִּֽי־ (when) תַקְרִ֞יב (he brings near) קָרְבַּ֤ן (an offering) מִנְחָה֙ (a grain offering) לַֽיהוָ֔ה (to YHWH), סֹ֖לֶת (of fine flour) יִהְיֶ֣ה (shall be) קָרְבָּנ֑וֹ (his offering). וְיָצַ֤ק (And he shall pour) עָלֶ֙יהָ֙ (on it) שֶׁ֔מֶן (oil) וְנָתַ֥ן (and he shall put) עָלֶ֖יהָ (on it) לְבֹנָֽה׃ (frankincense). 2  וֶֽהֱבִיאָ֗הּ (And he shall bring it) אֶל־ (to) בְּנֵ֣י (the sons) אַהֲרֹן֮ (of Aaron), הַכֹּהֲנִים֒ (the priests), וְקָמַ֨ץ (and he shall take) מִשָּׁ֜ם (from it) מְלֹ֣א (the fullness) קֻמְצ֗וֹ (of his handful) מִסָּלְתָּהּ֙ (of fine flour) וּמִשַּׁמְנָ֔הּ (and oil) עַ֖ל (with) כָּל־ (all) לְבֹנָתָ֑הּ (the frankincense), וְהִקְטִ֨יר (and shall burn it) הַכֹּהֵ֜ן (the priest) אֶת־ (-) אַזְכָּרָתָהּ֙ (its memorial portion) הַמִּזְבֵּ֔חָה (on the altar), אִשֵּׁ֛ה (a fire offering), רֵ֥יחַ (an aroma) נִיחֹ֖חַ (pleasing) לַיהוָֽה׃ (to YHWH). 3  וְהַנּוֹתֶ֙רֶת֙ (And the remainder) מִן־ (of) הַמִּנְחָ֔ה (the grain offering) לְאַהֲרֹ֖ן (is for Aaron) וּלְבָנָ֑יו (and for his sons); קֹ֥דֶשׁ (it is holy) קָֽדָשִׁ֖ים (of holies) מֵאִשֵּׁ֥י (from the fire offerings) יְהוָֽה׃ס (to YHWH).

4  וְכִ֥י (And if) תַקְרִ֛ב (you bring near) קָרְבַּ֥ן (an offering) מִנְחָ֖ה (of a grain offering) מַאֲפֵ֣ה (baked in) תַנּ֑וּר (an oven) סֹ֣לֶת (of fine flour) חַלּ֤וֹת (cakes), מַצֹּת֙ (it shall be unleavened), בְּלוּלֹ֣ת (mixed) בַּשֶּׁ֔מֶן (with the oil) וּרְקִיקֵ֥י (or wafers) מַצּ֖וֹת (unleavened) מְשֻׁחִ֥ים (anointed) בַּשָּֽׁמֶן׃ס (with the oil).

5  וְאִם־ (And if) מִנְחָ֥ה (a grain offering) עַל־ (on) הַֽמַּחֲבַ֖ת (the griddle) קָרְבָּנֶ֑ךָ (is your offering), סֹ֛לֶת (of fine flour) בְּלוּלָ֥ה (mixed) בַשֶּׁ֖מֶן (with the oil) מַצָּ֥ה (unleavened) תִהְיֶֽה׃ (it shall be). 6  פָּת֤וֹת (You shall break) אֹתָהּ֙ (it) פִּתִּ֔ים (in pieces) וְיָצַקְתָּ֥ (and you shall pour) עָלֶ֖יהָ (on it) שָׁ֑מֶן (oil); מִנְחָ֖ה (a grain offering) הִֽוא׃ס (it is).

7  וְאִם־ (And if) מִנְחַ֥ת (a grain offering) מַרְחֶ֖שֶׁת (in a covered pan) קָרְבָּנֶ֑ךָ (is your offering), סֹ֥לֶת (of fine flour) בַּשֶּׁ֖מֶן (with the oil) תֵּעָשֶֽׂה׃ (it shall be made).

8  וְהֵבֵאתָ֣ (And you shall bring near) אֶת־ (-) הַמִּנְחָ֗ה (the grain offering) אֲשֶׁ֧ר (that) יֵעָשֶׂ֛ה (is made) מֵאֵ֖לֶּה (from these things) לַיהוָ֑ה (to YHWH), וְהִקְרִיבָהּ֙ (and he shall bring it near) אֶל־ (to) הַכֹּהֵ֔ן (the priest), וְהִגִּישָׁ֖הּ (and he shall bring it) אֶל־ (to) הַמִּזְבֵּֽחַ׃ (the altar). 9  וְהֵרִ֨ים (And shall lift up) הַכֹּהֵ֤ן (the priest) מִן־ (from) הַמִּנְחָה֙ (the grain offering) אֶת־ (-) אַזְכָּ֣רָתָ֔הּ (its memorial portion) וְהִקְטִ֖יר (and he shall burn it) הַמִּזְבֵּ֑חָה (on the altar). אִשֵּׁ֛ה (It is a fire offering), רֵ֥יחַ (an aroma) נִיחֹ֖חַ (pleasing) לַיהוָֽה׃ (to YHWH). 10  וְהַנּוֹתֶ֙רֶת֙ (And what is left) מִן־ (from) הַמִּנְחָ֔ה (the grain offering) לְאַהֲרֹ֖ן (is for Aaron) וּלְבָנָ֑יו (and for his sons). קֹ֥דֶשׁ (It is holy) קָֽדָשִׁ֖ים (of holies) מֵאִשֵּׁ֥י (from the fire offerings) יְהוָֽה׃ (to YHWH).

11  כָּל־ (Any) הַמִּנְחָ֗ה (grain offering) אֲשֶׁ֤ר (that) תַּקְרִ֙יבוּ֙ (you⁺ bring near) לַיהוָ֔ה (to YHWH) לֹ֥א (not) תֵעָשֶׂ֖ה (shall be made) חָמֵ֑ץ (leavened), כִּ֤י (for) כָל־ (any) שְׂאֹר֙ (leaven) וְכָל־ (and any) דְּבַ֔שׁ (honey) לֹֽא־ (not) תַקְטִ֧ירוּ (you⁺ shall burn) מִמֶּ֛נּוּ (from it) אִשֶּׁ֖ה (a fire offering) לַֽיהוָֽה׃ (to the LORD). 12  קָרְבַּ֥ן (An offering) רֵאשִׁ֛ית (of firstfruits), תַּקְרִ֥יבוּ (you⁺ shall bring near) אֹתָ֖ם (them) לַיהוָ֑ה (to YHWH); וְאֶל־ (and on) הַמִּזְבֵּ֥חַ (the altar) לֹא־ (not) יַעֲל֖וּ (they shall go up) לְרֵ֥יחַ (for an aroma) נִיחֹֽחַ׃ (pleasing). 13  וְכָל־ (And every) קָרְבַּ֣ן (offering) מִנְחָתְךָ֮ (of your grain offering) בַּמֶּ֣לַח (with the salt) תִּמְלָח֒ (you shall season). וְלֹ֣א (And not) תַשְׁבִּ֗ית (you shall allow to cease) מֶ֚לַח (the salt) בְּרִ֣ית (of the covenant) אֱלֹהֶ֔יךָ (of your God) מֵעַ֖ל (from on) מִנְחָתֶ֑ךָ (your grain offering); עַ֥ל (on) כָּל־ (all) קָרְבָּנְךָ֖ (your offerings) תַּקְרִ֥יב (you shall bring near) מֶֽלַח׃ס (salt).

14  וְאִם־ (And if) תַּקְרִ֛יב (you bring near) מִנְחַ֥ת (a grain offering) בִּכּוּרִ֖ים (of firstfruits) לַיהוָ֑ה (to YHWH), אָבִ֞יב (heads of new grain) קָל֤וּי (roasted) בָּאֵשׁ֙ (on the fire), גֶּ֣רֶשׂ (crushed grain) כַּרְמֶ֔ל (from full heads) תַּקְרִ֕יב (you shall bring near) אֵ֖ת (-) מִנְחַ֥ת (for a grain offering) בִּכּוּרֶֽיךָ׃ (of your firstfruits). 15  וְנָתַתָּ֤ (And you shall put) עָלֶ֙יהָ֙ (on it) שֶׁ֔מֶן (oil) וְשַׂמְתָּ֥ (and you shall lay) עָלֶ֖יהָ (on it) לְבֹנָ֑ה (frankincense); מִנְחָ֖ה (a grain offering) הִֽוא׃ (it is). 16  וְהִקְטִ֨יר (And shall burn) הַכֹּהֵ֜ן (the priest) אֶת־ (-) אַזְכָּרָתָ֗הּ (its memorial portion) מִגִּרְשָׂהּ֙ (from its crushed grain) וּמִשַּׁמְנָ֔הּ (and from its oil), עַ֖ל (with) כָּל־ (all) לְבֹנָתָ֑הּ (its frankincense), אִשֶּׁ֖ה (as a fire offering) לַיהוָֽה׃פ (to YHWH).
