In the end, those in favor of Omri won out; Tibni died and Omri became king.

But the people who followed Omri overcame the people who followed Tibni son of Ginath; so Tibni died, and Omri became king.

Omri's followers were stronger than Tibni's, so Tibni was killed, and Omri became king of Israel
